Wow. This is exactly a video demo on one of the CofQ question that i got wrong by reading too fast. Something like how to identify if the wiper system has electrical or mechanical issue
In all fairness in 10 years of working on Honda's I have never seen a motor go bad. Then again I'm in Missouri where we don't have people shoveling snow all the time with the blades and we don't get frozen wipers often. Curious how often you guys get torn intake boots up there. We see it constantly.
Our city has a nickname for how much rain we get. We call it Raincouver it has rained everyday the last 2 weeks and it was raining when I put the wiper motor in. I told the advisor to give her a loaner because it was going to rain while the parts arrived. We see torn intake boots once in a while usually on the older Honda
What year Honda are you working on? it was hard to understand if it’s not given the year of the Honda and whether it’s a pilot or whether it’s a other Honda, thanks

That little bump up also flips the wiper blade over so it's phased for the upsweep.
