Nice video mate. I can 100% agree, always bound to leave something behind. I left the bbq hotplate behind while doing the holland track once lol. I hope to god you got photos of that epic pic setting at the end of the video, that looked sick!!!
Love the video. Gotta love those WA sun sets. I love the evolution of you video style with your production value. Any tips with gear where to learn how get some of those shots? Can’t wait for part 2.
Thanks mate, really appreciate that and glad there’s a noticeable improvement! Regarding tips, I think the big thing is just to give it all a go to see what works. For a 20 minute episode like this I’ve probably got about 3 hours worth of footage, I just see what works during the edit. I also get inspired from watching videos on other channels too and trying to adapt ideas into my own style :)
G'day Daniel, I'm looking to do some solo trips myself in the future, what do you do to kill time? Also I notice you don't seem to have fires. How do you go with heating?
Hi Patrick, for me the best part about solo camping is being able to sit back and relax, something I struggle with normally. Other than that I enjoy exploring, snorkelling, kayaking, camp cooking and practising different camera techniques. The fire bans in WA span quite a few months but during winter I love getting a good fire going 🔥 (not so necessary during the warmer months as the nights are hot).
Hi Cheryl, I've had it through lots of crazy storms and it's help up great, no water has ever come through and the structure has stood strong against the wind. The material can flap around a bit during wind, but I normally run an extra strap to help with this, check out this review I did that explains that more if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/RgzCzgGqAFk/v-deo.html Unfortunately I've never tested it through hail but imagine it would be fine
What a nice bloke - really like your enthusiasm
Great vid as always and like the fact you include the epic GoPro fail
Great episode
Thanks
