- This entire run was deathless,and I also got a 100% in each area(except level 1 area 1,since I got a passive resistance bonus there). It took some time to do,but it was worth it.
For level 1:
If you want a high score,or you want a higher chance of survival,try to get the passive resistance bonus....it helps a LOT. Other than that,this level is very easy. You can easily get both a 100% here and a deathless run.
For level 2:
Two minefields here. For the first one,use rockets or autofire,those should be good enough for not activating the mines on accident. Also,with weapon pods(or weapons that spread) you can even hit some of the off-screen balloons,which is neat.
For the second minefield,just memorize the pattern for all of the mines,or at least some of them. The mines always spawn in set places,so once you figure out a strategy that works,remember it,and you should be good to go. Also,the strategies are slightly different with and without weapon pods,but not too different.
As for area 4,there are some flipplanes here,which you can use to get over 100% at the end of the area. But don't try it,it's very risky when you have so many kamikaze/saucers coming at you along with them,so risking it here is not worth it.
Level 3
Spam in the first area as much as you can,otherwise you could get outnumbered by all of the fish ships(the ones that appear at the beginning of the area). A wide shot is highly recommended here,and thankfully that's exactly what the game gives you.
For area 2....oh,fuck. This is the most likely to mess up your 100% and your deathless run. It requires more RNG than skill,honestly. Just hope that you'll have good luck here......at least the wide shot also helps a lot here.....
For area 3,this is your chance to get over 100%. You have 2 chances,use both of then if you can. It's a huge boost to your score,and could ensure that you get a perfect score at the end of the area.
For area 5
To avoid all of the big bullets,stay in the top left corner. For the second phase of the boss,spam as much as you can
For level 4....
dunno,not much to say here. The wide shot is very useful here,though.
Also,during the boss fight,kill all of the assistance the boss gets,as soon as it gets it. It helps a lot - Ігри

The older you get, the darker this game gets. It’s because this is really a environment propaganda game on what happens when our planet gets overcrowded and has to conquer other lands and take away their natural resources, all in the form of a innocent claymation schmup.

Orandza 023 is very good at it. That's why I sucbribe Your accaunt on you tube. With hard difficulty you play without a bullet being shot by the enemy as long as you play 4 levels in the platypus game. Because of that I like your wideo. 👍

I think the spam fire/auto clicker really makes a huge difference. The yellow star would become more useful than blue star.
Against small enemies? Absolutely. Against bigger ones? No, not really, autofire always beats wide shot, pretty much.
Weapon Rank:
1. Lightning/Laser: Piercing capability makes this weapon OP.
2. Autofire/Chaingun: High firing rate is particularly handy at all times.
3. Rocket/Missile: Handy to beat the bosses, but can be useless against popcorns.
4. Wide Shot/3-Way: Same firerate as the regular peashooter, and the Options only shoots single peas
5. Pulse/Shotgun: Short range and cancels regular bullets, but not much. Options DO NOT have any means of firepower when equipped with the Pulse Ripple.
Popcorns? You mean small enemies? With weapon pods, that issue is mostly removed. And it's great because it actually covers more of the screen thanks to its slower projectile speed.
Wide shot - why would the fire rate change? Wide shot+spamfire is effective enough, anyways.
@@orandza023 Yes, it's a shmup jargon. The phase 2 of Level 15 (3-5) spams swarms mini jet fighters and occasional homing missiles to make our lives miserable. And the only time the Options are useless is when you are equipped with green Pulse Shotgun.
Sonic Pulse should get slightly bigger from weapon pods. At least according to Anthony.
About wide shot, there is a "peashooter" word in this comment, but it's not plants vs zombies.
Peashooter doesn't originate from PVZ just like Cherry Bomb doesn't. These are actual words, pvz just used them too because they're puns.
I think there is a problem about red star, the projectile from the enemies are much harder to see while shooting, so the players may die without realizing.

It would be so cool if every time you get the 2x crown, the value will increase and it will change colour too, like the 3x crown you get after you get another 2x crown will change to red and a 4x will be blue and a 5x will be green and so forth.

Left mouse button. Space can't be used unless you use keyboard controls. However, that requires me to spamfire with my left hand. Quite inconvenient. Not to mention that keyboard is too slow in this game.

If we tried to defeating the full health of final boss with just default gun, I don't know exactly how long does it took to defeat it. This is more likely to happen if we die very early during final boss fight on normal or hard difficulty.
After the last two lightning squid appears, there is no other enemies besides yellow squids. However, those chasing rockets + white laser from yellow squids are more likely to mess things up.
It would take ages. Suppose it depends if you allow spamfire as well

Great work man. I managed to beat the game on hard diff but never without death (too many foes on level 4 + that damn volcano). I wonder how many tries it took? Also, nice description.
balalaika 123 thank you! Well,I'm not sure how many exactly,but I'd say about 40 tries or so....the stupid volcano killed me more than anything else. Level 4 usually doesn't cause me too much trouble,but it's still annoying. And good job for beating the game on hard! Even if it's not without deaths,it's still really good :)
The boss on level 1, you can choose any colour of stars that you want. However, the boss on level 2,3, and 4, the game just gives a red star. I'm just more prefer using a blue star rather than red star.
Yes, Anthony preferred just forcing the player to use a specific weapon for most areas later in the game. In level 3, only 1 out of 5 areas even lets you choose the star. The rest just force you to use a specific one.
That said, rockets for bosses is logical, they are the best dps you can get. And if you spamfire them nothing but lightning can even get close to matching them anymore
@@orandza023 I think the autofire are good against a crowd of small enemies. Honestly when I use the rockets without weapon pods, this is actually more difficult for me to getting a star from the saucers rather than without power ups at all.
Yeah but bosses always give weapon pods anyway(in cased where they give forced rockets). And bosses aren't small enemies, so it's really just the saucers.
Well, boss 3 does have small enemies during its second phase but yeah.
@@orandza023 Yeah the rockets with weapon pods are very powerful, but we really need to avoid all the projectiles at all costs because even just a single player death the power up and weapon pods will disappear which can severely weakened the attacks. However, on easy difficulty, the power up wouldn't disappear if the player die.
On normal difficulty, it really ramps up the difficulty exponentially from the easy difficulty.
this guy is a beast ! 35:27 is the hardest imo.
Some disadvantage of each power-ups compared to default gun without spam fire (except autofire and lightning) :
1. Wide Shot : The damage from each bullet is reduced compared to default gun, so it is worse than default gun against enemies with high health.
2. Sonic Pulse : This weapon has a limited range, can't attack from long range, and has much slower fire rate compared to default gun.
3. Rockets : I am not really sure if the fire rate of rockets is slightly slower than default gun or just have same fire rate because this is hard to test that theory. But, I think it feels like the rockets are slightly harder to deal with the saucers, kamikazes, and boomerang fish ships.
For autofire and lightning, there is absolutely no disadvantages to default gun.
That's kinda not really true.
First of all, rockets are worse at dealing with small enemies for a very simple reason: you shoot 1 bullet instead of 2.
Autofire reduces your damage per bullet as well, it just doesn't halve it like wide shot does. So if reduced damage is a disadvantage for wide shot, it should be the same here.
Lightning has a disadvantage absolutely, it is the worst weapon to use against massive groups of small enemies. Because it strictly shoots directly ahead of you, that's basically where things are most dangerous. And it doesn't leave behind any bullets, so for example if you were to use default gun, you could spamfire and move up and down, and while you move up, those bullets you shot further down would still kill stuff while you're not there because they're still traveling forwards. Lightning doesn't have this. So yeah, many see lightning as the ultimate weapon, but that's because you don't see it at its worst for too long. That section with kamikaze ships at the start of level 4-1 is the worst thing for it but it's short. If you were to deal with kamikazes and boomerangs with lightning, I guarantee it would be worse than simply spamfiring your default gun. Lightning is great, but it isn't without flaws. Even rockets would be better at clearing up 4-1 than that thing.
Idk why but all platypus level 4 videos the laser is invinsible its like you are killing the enemies with nothing (ik its not Invinsible with the double gun but sometimes only the platypus show the lasers and the double gun is invinsible and sometimes double gum has lasers but the platypus not idk if its a youtube bug)
Too many frames than what UA-cam can show because it's only 30fps. If I ever upload Platypus again, I will change video resolution to full HD with XMedia Recode and the laser will show properly at 60fps I think. But these older videos will remain as they are

What causes the percentage of "Primary Targets" and "Secondary Craft" decrease? And if your players died but still managed to shoot all the enemies, would you still get 100% in particular area?
Also, at 45:55, your percentage is more than 100%?
Player deaths impact nothing really other than the fact you lose power-ups, and they also affect the passive resistance bonus in level 1 area 1.
Primary targets decreases by missing bigger enemies, secondary craft decreases by missing smaller ones.
Bug with the purple flipplane. Dealing sufficient damage to kill it before it flips results in it dying on every frame until it finally truly dies once it flips. So you want to kill it faster, not necessarily just keep dealing as much damage as possible. Best method for this is spamfiring rockets at the flipplane as it arrives and then crash your ship on it immediately after.
The intro of boss' music in part 3 and 4 is what I always wanted to hear

I'm curious how far can you get if you do a full run by attempting to get a green star on every opportunity (or even use a cheat repeatedly for green star). I know if this is probably the worst weapon but I feel like to see the true potential of green star.
I have thought about it before. Doing it with cheats may be better, if I don't use them then 12/20 of the game's areas will just be default weapon usage anyway
Jako mi se sviđa ova igrica. Poslednji put sam je igrao pre 7 godina. Mnogo je lepa. Ali, što se tiče težine, ja sam je samo na lako igrao. Pokušao sam na teško, ali neprijatelji izbacuju dosta projektila i uvideo sam da je to veoma teško izbeći. Naročito mi je bio težak drugi nivo gde imaš mine. Ali, sve u svemu, super igrica.

Is it possible for bosses to escape by themselves if you survive them for long enough?
Level 3 boss yes. The others I don't recall sadly. Fun fact, level 3 boss doesn't even shoot at you in its second phase if you don't shoot at it. So if you just do nothing, the boss is basically not a threat at all.
I feel like I remember the train being able to escape as well, and the level 2 boss but it might just be the case in the sequel, I am not entirely sure. For the final boss I am almost certain it can't escape.
@@orandza023 I have tried to do some testing, it seems that level 3 boss can only escape on second phase. Then, I also tried it on boss level 1 and 2 but the boss still not escape after waiting for a very long time. While the level 3 boss second phase, it doesn't take too long time. So, I think the conclusion is only the level 3 boss second phase that are able to escape. I'm just not really sure about that.

When I was little I always avoided Level 2. There were lots of Air Mines. I can't handle that. I always repeat at Levels 1 and 3 because it's easier to get a lot of lives before ending the journey at level 4.
I also just found out that we can get a bonus if we don't defeat enemies in Level 1 Area 1. Does that also work in other Areas?

@@orandza023 okay, just checked, airship is not that slow as i remembered, but still i thought that in your gameplay it slightly faster than normal. Maybe I just being mistaken.
Also never knew that you can click really fast for more fire rate, that's cool. And your gameplay is fascinating, I barelly managed to beat that on Easy, but you destroyed this game on Hard with so many points.
Only thing I can think of is that my game in general is just faster, not just my ship.

Slight issue in level 2 : The white laser from kamikaze and yellow squid are camouflaged with clouds in the background.
How do you dodge all those bullets? I'm always irritated by the rocket's particles. Really impressive over all.
I just have a lot of experience....practice,and you'll get better! Also,pay attention to how quickly some of the enemies shoot. That helps a lot,especially when you use rockets Oh,and thanks!

@@orandza023 the sensitivity is different for horizontal and vertical movemets, also when im moving my mouse quicky (thres nothing wrong with the mouse) , the plane doesnt keep up
@@sandrochove3964 because that's how the game works. There is a speed limit for how fast your ship can go if you're using a mouse. I guess the difference in horizontal and vertical speed is also part of the game, but not sure about that.

Some areas that are certainly impossible to get 100% without spam fire (even on easy mode and with weapon pods) in my opinion :
Level 2 Area 3 : This area has two giant red blimps which are impossible to kill both of them without spam fire and this area doesn't even give any stars at all.
Level 3 Area 1 : This area only give wide shot which is weak against big enemies. This area has a giant red blimps and kamikazes coming along with this giant red blimp. It's like impossible to kill all the kamikazes without spam fire because you can't use autofire here.
Level 3 area 1 is certainly not impossible. Just very, very difficult.
Level 2 area 3 either requires perfect play or is outright impossible

Thank you. Hmmm,well,personally,my favorite is rocket spam,but all of the weapons(except the green one,the sonic pulse,that one is useless) are useful in certain scenarios. Autofire is good for both primary and secondary targets because of its fast fire rate. However,its usefulness is drastically decreased if you play with a keyboard,since your ship will be slow,and autofire has no spread.
Wide shot isn't useful in as many scenarios,but it's still good for large crowds of small enemies. Even better than autofire,if you can spam,at least. If not,they're similar. Against bigger,enemies,however,it's awful,since the damage your bullets deal is actually decreased for each individual bullet. However,if you play with a keyboard,it's highly recommended because of its spread.
Rockets are great for bigger enemies,but kinda bad against smaller ones unless you have weapon pods. Against bigger enemies....well,it just destroys them,especially if you spam them,in which case most enemies will die in a second or two! Against smaller enemies,it's kinda bad since you only shoot one. If you have weapon pods,this issues is somewhat removed,since you instead fire 3 rockets. Since they have a bigger hitbox than the regular bullets,they actually have a bigger chance to hit an enemy. Spamming them also helps A LOT against smaller enemies.
Lightning is,well....extremely useful. It pretty much has no cons. It's superior to most weapons in most cases,EXCEPT for wide shot. Since it has no spread,it's somewhat risky to use against smaller enemies,especially if you use a keyboard. But in more cases,it's the best weapon.
And then there's the sonic pulse which is less useful than the default gun. It does a very low amount of damage,it has limited range and you can't spam it. Don't pick this up.
And yes,what you mentioned is a glitch
To make the long story short:
Lightning: perfect
Auto fire: good in most cases
Wide shot: worse than auto fire against bigger enemies,but better(usually) against smaller enemies
Rockets: worse than auto fire against smaller enemies,but better for bigger ones.
Sonic pulse: useless

I mean, think about it. Ever since Platypus' journey through forest, skies, and ocean, everything looks clean and stuff. But at the city level it looks dirty.
My hypothesis are the enemy are trying to take over the natural resources such as the fruits on a large scale and also destroying the forests by building the bases. However, they are evacuating because Platypus (Us, player) wreaking havoc by the order of the kingdom.

Let me guess, they're in Saturn's moon called Titan? I mean, the event probably took place after terraforming Titan somehow, and the view of Saturn from your pov is an obvious clue that you're in one of Saturn's terraformed moons, (though, Titan would make more sense) since Titan is Saturn's only moon to have a dense atmosphere and stable bodies of surface liquids that could be possible for future colonization. That's my theory lol

I end the game but instead of high score it appears a blue screen of death by the way what is your software did you use mine is windows 7 in
Windows 10, and I use dgVoodoo as well. If you don't use that, the game doesn't run on windows 10.

Honestly, I think level 3 is actually harder than level 4, especially on hard mode. This is the comparison between each area on level 3 and 4 :
Area 1 : In level 3, there are a lot of boomerang fish ships along with the saucers. This is also very difficult to get a star from orange kamikaze because there are many other enemies coming to interfere you. In level 4, there are no boomerang fish ships but this is very hard at the beginning without power-ups. This is easier to get a first star from orange kamikaze than level 3. After getting autofire and not dying, it should be easier until the end of this area, not too much problem in this area. So, area 1 level 3 is harder than level 4.
Area 2 : Oh, this is very obvious that area 2 level 3 is harder than level 4. In level 3, there are a lot of brown rocks and so many enemies coming along with those rocks. This is requires a lot of luck. In level 4, there are a lot of boomerang fish ships, but this is easy to get a star in this area. After you get a first star and not dying, it would be easier until the end of this area, not too much problem in this area.
Area 3 : This has similarities where you can easily get weapon pods both in level 3 and 4. In level 3, you can only get rockets. This area have purple flipplane and missile shooter which are very annoying because these enemies can easily kill you. The other enemies are not a huge problem. In level 4, this is much easier than level 3 area 3 because of the lightning power-ups + weapon pods, we just need to be careful with boomerang fish ships and green squids.
Area 4 : In level 3, honestly this is much harder than level 4 area 4 because in level 3, the giant boat + 2 green squids are very hard to deal. In level 4, the enemies are not very annoying.
Area 5 : In level 3, the first phase of the submarine, the big blue bullets can be easily avoid by staying on the top left corner but we need to be careful with the red bullets and missiles. But, on the second phase, this is really hard to deal with so many boomerang fish ships. In level 4, this boss can shoot missiles and spawn many yellow squids which are quite difficult to kill them because the boss itself often block the rockets, and also there are lightning squids and green squids coming to interfere you. This is hard to compare which boss is harder. However, the second phase of submarine (boss level 3) won't attack if we don't shoot at it and it can escape by itself after waiting for long enough, so this is possible to just do nothing on its second phase, but it cost much points.
Level 3 will always be harder only because of area 2's volcano. But the boss fight in level 4 is much harder than level 3. The submarine fight's first phase is trivial. The second phase less so, but nowhere near as bad as the final boss of level 4. Area 1 is a mixed bag, level 4 can be worse actually because of how many damn enemies it throws at you at once. At least level 3 starts calmly with just boomerang groups coming one by one until you get wide shot. Tbh overall I think level 4 area 1 is harder. The enemy mix is a disaster. Area 3 is easier in level 4 because you get lightning and not too many things that can threaten the lightning. The white spinning ray ships are taken care of easily, boomerangs are generally fine, and the big enemies are generally no issue. But honestly both levels have area 3 as the most chill one. Area 4 is hard to say, the biggest threat in level 3 is the big ship. But if you can take care of it the rest of the level is just fine, mostly. Level 4 on the other hand is for the most part a disaster. First you have to survive an onslaught of kamikazes shooting lasers at you constantly with lightning, less than ideal of a weapon to use here. Then you fight kamikazes AND boomerangs, one of the worst combos in the game. You better get autofire or wide shot(latter is better if your fingers aren't dead by this point) or else you are toast. But the biggest difficulty is getting 100% at the end. The game is basically asking you to fight the start of level 4 area 3 but now without lightning anymore. It's so easy to miss enemies. Tbh ig in a way I think both of the levels have it just as bad in this area because the big boat in level 3 is hard to deal with. But anyway yeah, level 3's difficulty is hard carried by area 2. If it didn't exist level 3 wouldn't be even half as bad anymore.

The level 4 part is hard, but managable. Level 3 area 2 is much harder.
The tactic used at 2:33 can be improved even more. You can go for the crown before you go for the coins for maximum profit. I plan to do a brand new run because there are so many new strats I missed here.

The gameplay is almost perfect, but there is a little flaw at 13:43 and 29:11. Btw recently, I am kinda spamming comments in many different games, especially platypus. The other games are alien sky, astrobatics, atomaders, heavy weapon, and plants vs zombies. And wow, you still remember some of the details in some of these games even though these videos have been uploaded like over 6 years.

Mines in level 2 have set patterns. It's difficult at first but never RNG-based and you can learn it. Only volcano is really bs
