I totally agree with the tape going over the tab on the 3m masker. I seen your other video the other week and gave it a try. It's so much better and moves freely, especially if your using plastic around windows, kitchen etc. Great videos guys 👍🏻 Daniel ( EnglandUK )
Any chance of a product video, what you use and why and what you won’t use and why. Eg: paint and primers in one, primer for over oil base trim all that
hi josh a question ..how do you get the paper or plastic to cover or keep in the top of gutter ? is it just the tape from paper roller or another method .. i struggle getting the paper taping up to adhere to inside top gutter...??? or do you stick it only to very top of gutter ? i cant see the tape on the gutter tops .. on roof ...........i appreciate your tip
Hi Josh. Newb here. Love your videos. Question: What do you do with masking if the waiting period is long between the coats? I'm afraid of paint bridging and lifting up with the tape during the removal. Do you have to re-tape/re-mask between the coats? I think it would be a nightmare... How long masking can you "wait". And how to know that? Thanks. Minda.
Hi Josh, I see what spray can you use in other videos for aluminium window frames. Would u recommend duramax for white paint to spray interior aluminium windows (some rooms no natural light) or will it go yellow? Or would you recommend a water based paint for the aluminium window frames?
@@paintingbyjosh Thanks for your reply, I picked up some dulux aquanamel that I was considering spraying on with an airless spray gun. I will take a look at the duramax. Would you say the aquanamel is not the right product for aluminium window paint?
@Gavin Hill I wouldn't recommend using the aquanamel on the aluminium it will work but longevity it will not. You can achieve a factory finish using the method & products I use & guaranteed to last 💯
You got it all wrong they do blow up and paint goes underneath! Ben doing this for 26 years I know what works and it's not the way you are talking I have another video explaining all this. Maybe you need to check it out. Cheers
@Painting by Josh 26 years is a long time. Maybe I was taught wrong back in the 80s when i started, but my drop cloths don't blow up. Mine aren't the lite piddly ones they sell today. I did check out the other one, it's great content. I know what works too, have a good one.
@Danny my drop sheets are heavy duty when you are running high pressure no doubt it's going to blow up a drop cloth. Maybe you need to start your own Channel if if know what's up.🙏cheers
@Painting by Josh it's a shame you're pissy. All was offered was advice, and you acted like my grandkids. I'm glad yours works. I'll keep watching dumbasses make life harder for the masses.
Always enjoyable to watch a pro working and explaining how to go about doing it right. Well done josh 👍👍🙏
Thank you Legend! Appreciate the kind words nothing but respect 💯 🙌

Hi Gavin. I definitely recommend the Dulux Duramax it's formulated not to yellow so you will not have a drama. 👍

Appreciate the info thanks!
Why do you use paper vs. plastic film over the windows?
I think on that day was really windy. Plus better for our environment 💯
👍👍
Respect 🙌
Do you come to Sydney for work??
Hi Rebecca. I don't usually all depending on the job?
Why not use plactic to save paper? lost less tape and paper to use
Think of the turtles
Yes I try to minimise plastic as much as I can...save the planet 🙌❤️
I plastic the windows but best to have 2 guys if its windy
Just to help. If you place the drop cloths on top of the paper, they don't blow up, and you don't have to tape it to the cloth.
