Nice review! One thing you didn't mention though (unless I missed it) was regarding the price and if you believe this certification is worth the price. This certification is brand new, and me personally, if I plan on paying $500 USD for a certification, then I would want to make sure it is reputable in the cyber-space before enrolling and paying. I understand it's brand new and I agree that Abed is really well-known in the cyber-space as a content creator, but recruiters might not know that. There is no exam for this course, and you are paying that much money for a certificate of completion at the end of the day. Is that reasonable? Not sure...But, that's just my opinion! Otherwise, love your videos Ben! Great work as always!
Saw someone ask Unix guy on his channel ask about price and he said other youtubers charge 1000's and that he is asking for only a fair price of 500 bucks
Its not a certification, its a mini boot camp where you get a certificate of completion at the end. COMPLETELY different and worth understanding the difference between the two
@@Gautam-vb9be You can always find someone selling for more than $500 so its not a great selling point. $500 is actually the standard for influencer courses across different genres. They only really go more than $500 if their course is business related or aimed at high net worth individuals.
@@ultravioletiris6241 sure! I mean you can call it whatever you want, either a certification or a “MINI” boot camp, doesn’t matter to me. But my point is just that I don’t find it worth $500 USD. I just don’t see the valued return off it. That’s all and that’s just my opinion.
@@aliaraien6938 No you were talking about it being reputable compared to other certifications but its literally not a certification and isn’t recognized by HR in any way. I agree with everything else you said tho so no need to argue about the price.
Totally agree the price is outrageous. I would have bought it, but I now tell everyone I know to look for alternative training. There is a ton of GRC certifications and training out there...most of which are from established certification bodies such as ISACA and ISC2.
For a job that can get you upwards of $150k a year, I'd say it's well worth it. Look at how much people pay for CompTIA certifications, most of which will help you get entry level jobs, if at all.
@@listellareloadedxx8090 Dr. Gerald Auger's GRC Master Class is $149.97 on his Simply Cyber website, but you could probably get it cheaper if you go to TCM's training site and pay for one month all-access subscription. If you do that, you'll have full access to all of TCM's courses like Practical Ethical Hacking, Windows Privilege Escalation, Linux Privilege Escalation, Python Fundamentals, etc.
@@galloeBut the point is, is this certification of completion is recognised by HR? I mean, i wouldn't argue if the price was more affordable for its worth but for its price range I think we can go for a well recognised certification which comes with an exam and highly recognised by Companies which can help to land a Job.

I think honestly the course is interesting but it is extremely expensive for not being a certification. Besides, you are making a promotional video from an affiliate program that is paid advertising, it detracts from the credibility of your review. I would like to find a single video on UA-cam about this course that has not been sponsored by Unixguy.
This class costs about $350 too much. The UnixGuy is preying on career changers and cybersecurity newbies. While content may be good, it simply is too expensive. There is alternative training out there that costs much less. Do your homework folks!
I've searched and didn't see a person nor business cheaper than his. Please enlighten the public on who is charging less with that kind of quality of information.

Literally over price, can go for other recognised certification for this price range.
If this course cut down the price in half. I'll buy it but for now I just need to save up to afford this.

CISSP OR GRC?
Go for CISSP, it's highly recognised as priority and also having some good stuffs with exam to be certified.
CISSP
CISSP first, then CGRC from ISC2.
