Congrats to those who made the roster, especially those who are making their World Cup debut in the middle of their career. I'm looking at Lynn, and Kristie, Sofia Huerta and Aubrey Kingsbury. All of that work over the course of a life and a long career has paid off. I'm sure there are times it felt like they'd never get there but now the pipe dream has become a reality. I feel so sorry for Becky and also for the team that it won't have her leadership at this World Cup. Soccer is a brutal and unfair game. Injuries suck. But on that same vein, I feel so very sorry for Sam. This injury has stolen years from her right at the prime of her career. She was *killing* it over the couple of years leading right into the injury. I am confident and hopeful that she'll be back better than ever, but even if she is, injury stole from her these past years at her absolute prime. Much love and appreciation to all of these amazing sports players who play the beautiful game for us and who also put themselves through the physical and emotional wringer to bring us the sport we love to watch and they love to play.

At the 12 minute mark, I loved the *seamless* edit where Sam popped into her hoodie for two sentences then popped right back out of it 😂 Loved this interview and seeing all three of them express their feelings on the situation. Very emotional. Becky's presence on this World Cup team will certainly be missed.

I read the roster looking for Lynn's name on it. On the list that I read her name was the last one. It was like winning the game at the last minute. Congratulations Lynn! Go USA!

I think Sam Kerr once mentioned that Becky Sauerbrunn was one of the scariest defenders. And she knew if she could get past Becky she could against anyone else...just paraphrasing. Reallly missed both of you (Sam M and Becky) at the World Cup). Happy to see the new crew though. Lynn is a badass!
