Stockholders of companies should have to explain their every vote and declaration not just to other stockholders but to everybody that can be validated as a customer so as to ensure the future of the company.

If you're a company owner, instead of focusing on politics, you really have "to mind first your own business" Profit first before anything else. You're so drowned in hate & politics that you forgot that you have a company to run to. It's okay react and felt disgusted on someone or on what is happening around but still you need to be balanced 😊 business first. If in social media, instead of hate and politics I'd rather want deep conversation on certain topic, interacts, share some thoughts & opinions, ideas and solutions.

All motions put before the shareholders at every firm's Annual General Meeting (AGM) come with management's recommendation of how to vote on each motion. Mutual fund managers, as a matter of policy, vote what management recommends. This means that corporate America operates unobstructed by any possible shareholder veto, because 1/3+ of the owners of record of 1/3+ of their shares are managed funds. I see no easy way of restoring a meaningful vote to the owners of benefit of American shares.
