I see you have the Elgoto on your desk, for connecting, are you using one cable to connect the camera and the prompter to the computer or are you using 2 different cables (one connecting the camera and another cable to connect the prompter)?
Is it safe to mount the prompter directly on any camera lens using the step up rings? I noticed in the manual that it says "do not mount on motorized lenses". What does this mean? Are all modern lenses not motorized these days?
If they enable phone mirroring it's crazy. How many times people have tried to come out with a solution to be able to shoot with their rear camera while being able to see the screen ? That's a killer feature right there
What a great video. I'm actually torn right now between getting a glide gear teleprompter to use with 10.2" iPad or alternatively the Elgato for talking head language education type content. Which setup would you choose for that sort of thing? Many thanks!
@@DavisFangTech Right on, thanks. I have 9th gen iPad for glide gear or MacBook Air for Elgato. Am I right that using teleprompter apps is big plus for the iPad set up? That's what has me kind of sort leaning that way, plus some of the connecting issues with elgato that you mentioned
@@steveperry4243 I’ve been using the elgato for all my videos since this one and I haven’t received any more connection issues, but I am using the same app on my Mac and iPad, so there’s no difference there for me

I don’t have my camera connected to a computer, but if you do, it would require two cables
@@DavisFangTech Can you explain your Elgoto Setup to me? I'm trying to understand more and create a setup with less cables as possible.
@@garyclement2888 the Elgato is simply attached to the lens of the camera and it is powered and run by one usb-c cable that goes into a laptop

I’m guessing it’s referring to lenses that extend like on a compact camera

Fingers crossed!

It really depends if you want to use your iPad or your laptop to run the teleprompter. Having to use a MacBook to run the elgato is love or hate

@@DavisFangTech okay good to hear, thank for the feedback
Love it, but I hope that they make a larger version soon!
9 inches is fairly sizeable!
where can i download display link and how to use it?
All the links should be on the elgato website
