There actually is more than one video of the incident. My uncle filmed was filming the audience and testing the zoom on the camera. He zoomed out just in time to catch it. It’s grainy and blurry but you can see and hear the impacts. He bounced a good 5ft off the turnbuckle area and hit the ring hard enough to bounce a second time. It was to big booms and screams. I’ve only watched it twice. But our family still has that VHS tape he made, it’s only 7 minutes long mostly just him filming random shots and testing the zoom. Once he realized what happened he turned the camera off and left the arena because of what he just witnessed and because he didn’t think the show was going to happen. He kept that video a secret until about 3 years ago. And no he will not sell it or ever upload it. He only let me watch it because I didn’t believe that he actually had the video of it, and I couldn’t have my phone with me. It was really a messed up thing to see.

I think the whole stunt was unnecessary and the gimmick was dumb, but wrestlers coming down from the rafters in a high wire act wasn't unheard of (Shawn Michaels and Sting). They had performed the same stunt with the blue blazer in the past and it went just fine. They even rehearsed the stunt earlier that afternoon with the same crew and equipment. Everything went as planned. There was no reason to suspect that there'd be a problem during the show. Because of that, I don't necessarily think McMahon deserved as much criticism as he received. However, where he lost my sympathy and respect was when he chose to continue the show. IMO it should've ended when the accident happened, but it ABSOLUTELY should've stopped once they knew Owen was dead. Pushing forward and continuing the show was unbelievably insensitive and disrespectful.

Owen was WAY BETTER than Bret!! That's just a FACT!!! In ring he was just far more superior!! He was on another level. He was a good technical wrestler and he also had his high flying abilities such as flipping off the top ropes and moves like that. Bret was never able to do any of that. I know he injured Stone Cold and Dan Severn but accidents happen. Bret claims that he never injured anyone but Bad News Brown aaid specifically that Bret had hurt him more than once. It was to the point that Bad News was going to beat his ass. And as far as promos Owen was actually funny as fuck when cutting promos as a heel. He truly was. Bret , on the other hand , absolutely SUCKED!!! He always had that overly serious poor me demeanor. Bret was extremely overrated. There are so many other wrestlers from Stampede who are way better than Bret. The one who overrates Bret the most is himself. He once said that he was more popular in Britain than Davey Boy Smith. He went on to say that he was the more favored wrestler at the 92 Summer Slam against Davey Boy but the fans cheered for Davey Boy just to be respectful because it was his home country. I mean how fucking delusional is that? And don't get me started about the Montreal Screw Job. Bret didn't want to lose that night because he didn't want to do that to his character. That is beyond pathetic of an excuse and Bret knows that, so nowadays he basically says Shawn threatened him and still had animosity towards him. Just complete bullshit. If you watch Dark Side of the Ring and Wrestling with Shadows it is clear as day that he is lying.
