.maybe u r right but for me it's that one TSOL album, their perfect album, sry the name escapes me. My favorite (all time) album of. ANY genre is probably CRASS "Penis Envy" it's so musically confident, and the mocking tone (literally and figuratively) of the superb female vocals never* get too strident, they seem to be tempered with (pssed-off)brotherly concern. The whole.album is so deftly arranged, performed, and produced, that it's inscrutable For CRASS, I think it was their Sgt. Peppers or Abbey Road album, a high watermark for the band, the scene and music in general!
shannon townsend “Dance with Me” by T.S.O.L is the best punk album I’ve ever heard. I hope that’s the one you were thinking of. It’s such a perfect blend of styles and themes, there isn’t a bad song on the record and the bass sounds like nothing I’ve ever heard before. I’m only commenting because I’ve never heard anybody suggest any TSOL albums should be regarded that highly; which immediately makes you cool. Nice shoutout to Penis Envy, I place it as Crass’s second best effort (stations being number one) even though I do realize the album is musically superior, the concept limits the range of the band. You get it all on Stations, the feminism + everything else the band had to offer (including the Phil Free singing) anyways, I ramble... good luck, keep enjoying great music

This is seriously one of my all time favorite albums It flies under the radar of punk rock for literally no reason, it’s honestly rivals the Sex Pistols in quality imo, the adicts aren’t obscure by any means but they’re definitely underrated
Whose fkn radar does it 'fly under'? Anyone worth their salt loves the Adicts and this album. You are probably just too young to have been around for the good ol' days.
I saw them in 2015 in Portugal, in a small bar, as it is supposed to be! together with Exploited... I did not know this band! I was a fan that same night! Once a punk, always a Punk! Rock to Live, Live to Rock! Play LOUD
Siempre recordaré este disco, marco mi adolescencia. Inevitablemente de vienen muchos recuerdos y eso es lo lindo de la música, que te transporta a esos buenos momentos, aguante el punk y la ctm
Not one person shared this album with me back in the scene. I only heard addicts rom punk and disorderly and other comps. I really appreciate this album. I'm drinking beer and scotch and was cleaning the bathroom. Perfect music to chill after too. Some of the tracks I repeat.
Ev listened to them em no saying their shite bu t when ye listen te the Scottish band exploited sorry but they r shite exploited will always be a better band than them exploited barmy army am afraid by a million miles
I love the Anniversary Edition. It is a good representation of the melodies. BUT.... Punk really shines best when it is not set to a metronome/click track and the production is closer to the DiY feel of people playing in the room together. This early Adicts offerings really capture that feel quite well.
I bought 'Rollercoaster' & 'Joker in the Pack' in 2006-2007 and never looked back. Ended up buying them on a whim. Total crapshoot of a guess. They were my first albums by them. And ended up being indescribably amazing. Hell of a decision. I am an eternal fan of 'Cheese Tomato Man, 'My Baby got Ran Over by a Steamroller', 'Too young' & 'Daydreamer's Night'. Those albums are fucking priceless. My all time favorite punk band out of any punk band that I've EVER cum across. They're so goddamn original. I loooove their outfits. A Clockwork Orange is purely a work of a film genius. Stanley Kubrick is a God of a director in his own reich. And in the end, I'm a metal head and "Manson-whore" from way back. Says a lot to they're music making abilities. Oi and hails from Arizona, U.S.A. to my fellow "addicts".
If they had the money. Plus do remember that back then there wasnt a million diy labels willing to put out whoever comes along. There were literally none back then and the music industry ruled everything music related. Majority of punks in england back then were either totally broke, too young to work, no work to be had, were on the dole, or had no idea how to put out a record.
Great Lp. Haven't heard this since 1984. There is a low 'ticking' noise throughout the album. Is that meant to be there? I don't remember it being on my LP back in the day, unless I never noticed it.
one of the greatest punk rock albums ever made....
aha :-P
*Everybody agreed to that*

The Adicts are better then the Sex Pistols in my opinion

Anniversary edition is trash. This is exactly how I want to hear Songs of Praise. I love this album.
x2
Anniversary edition sounds a little bit to pop rock
I got to see them once a long time ago. They are a very hot or miss band. But man when they are good they are GOOD

This is the default album I send, whenever someone wants to try out "Punk Rock".
It's so good!
Where do you send it?
@@Haliboldt To any of my friends who wants to get into Punk.
after this send them extreme noise terror for a second reference, then the dead milkmen, then totalitar, then bad brains, so on and so forth!!!!
The chats are one of the best modern day punk bands
When I first heard in the background it blew my mind!
Awesome to see them in San Antonio TX back in 05 or 06 in a small bar/venue. Very fun show!

Clockwork wasnt just a book. Clockwork skins and punks were common in england back then and the ultra violence was just as real as in the book.
Tremendous. Ty for posting this!
Saw these guys at Holidays in the Sun in Asbury Park in 2003? One of the funnest shows ever
Oi! from Brazil!
Saw them a few times back in the 90's in san jose and san fransico. Great both times! The sf time they had olga from toy dolls playin bass.
Damn I fucking love this record!
Been fuckin years and I’m old as shit now but why don’t I feel any different 😅 except more crazy I forgot 😛😝😂😆😁
one of the best punk albums of all time
Punks Not Dead...!!!!!, saludos desde Chile..\../\../\../
Brilliant album
I'm just wondering how it took them 6 years to get a record out. They could have released this in 1978/79 if they wanted.
If they had the money. Plus do remember that back then there wasnt a million diy labels willing to put out whoever comes along. There were literally none back then and the music industry ruled everything music related.

Здравствуйте! Подскажите пожалуйста, какие есть группы похожие на adicts ? В этом году нечайно услышал и сразуже понравилась эта группа!!!
You could search for "the addicts" interview and search for their influences.
53 people who don't dance the tango apparently.
Mierda que bien suena!!!
I wish I could find this on vinyl
If you ever find this on vinyl somewhere, let me know! I’ve been looking forever!
Distortion is so fucking underrated
Telepatic people looking to my mind!

I read late 77 is when they started out named the Adicts. But yeah pre 77 they had a different name.
