I have a Vietnamese friend and he can cook!!! He makes fish head soup with a tuna head... they're usually very large. He makes it with lots of tomatoes and he also adds a cut up pineapple, celery, onions and cilantro (a type of coriander). Then cooks it slowly for a couple of hours. We have the soup and pick the meat from the head with chopsticks. VERY good.
Your husband should try the fish soup. I love it I’m American and I even cook salmon sinigang and other Philippine dishes. You make me hungry I’m going too cook Salmon sinigang today.
Living in Bohol, I miss a lot of food back in the USA. Bohol does not have many big grocery stores, the only real one is at the ICM, and even there you do not find many western foods. Still searching 🙂
p.s. I love seeing MingMing. I had to give up my cat in order to live in a small retirement home. It has been possibly my biggest grief. Anyway, it soothes my heart to see you both talk to him. He loves being loved more than he loves his food. Cats who don’t empty their plate means they’re not afraid that another animal will take it. He really trusts all of you. Pretty high praise from a cat. Thank you to everyone in your family. I love it when the girls speak English. Tell them not to be shy. If we could speak your language…😂❤
