- The jewel of Arcadia, the namesake of a sunken ship, and now the sight of a crucial battle. After enjoying decades of success and overseas interventions, all-out war has returned to Arcadian shores, the likes of which haven’t been seen since the days of the Arcadian Psycho and the formation of his map. This war will be heartbreaking.
Nouvelle Bruges, the Divergences equivalent of New York, was the Belgian Confederacy’s capital city, now Arcadia’s, and the namesake of the ocean liner sunk by China in 1900. That sinking brought Arcadia into a huge war against China, broke apart the Asian hugbox and led to the formation of Germany.
The diplomacy in Europe is still shifting after German tanks blitzed through the Lowland plains and brought Burgundy and the Dual Monarchy to their knees in the last war. Those two countries have split, the tug-of-war for the British Isles will continue, and the Italian-influenced Albanian state will become a flashpoint for a cunning Russian move. And not only are tanks a mainstay of armies across the world - it’s time for airplanes to join them.

Tbh this definitely one of Spud's bleakest campaign's with just the sheer amount of gp wars that happening all over the world all the time. There barely been a any times where at least two major powers haven't been at war. This also isn't helped by the fact that half the countries in this campaign are dictatorships and the millions of people and capital wasted to fuel these never ending wars.

you know, I really like that this campaign went all the way past the 1920s, unlike previous ones that ended early because it was no longer fun
And I also like that unlike other campaigns, Gran Colombian didn't get the short end of the stick and got completely smashed early on, and that Burgundy has somehow managed to survive all the way through instead of reaching a quick stalemate in Europe between DM and Elbians. I imagine it has been quite frantic for the Burgundy player having to juggle so much, but boy the existence of Burgundy in this campaign pretty much guaranteed constant entertainment and content for this series
