DIF Animation 1: Regenerative Cities

In this short animation we discuss what regenerative cities are, and why we need them. We first set the context by outlining the impact of cities, before talking about how cities are conceptualised in various ways, using systems thinking, urban metabolism and urban ecosystems as examples. We conclude by touching on the future of cities. The film was written by Dr Nick Taylor Buck of the Urban Institute at the University of Sheffield, and Professor Lenny Koh of the Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre at the University of Sheffield.
