Region One is beautiful and peaceful. Needs to have more modern hotels for Americans who wants to visit Jonestown. Are there any Masjid there.

Wow this brought back a lot of memories to me as a child i remember travelling to region 1 mabaruma a lot from Georgetown. Can't wait to visit guyana again, it's been so many years. I'm praying that i can make that trip soon. In my days it was the small guyana Airways plane. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for showing us part of the town of Port Kaituma. I hope that you will soon visit the border communities with Venezuela such as: Matthews Ridge, Baramita, Arakaka and Five Stars Landing in the west of Region 1.
I was supposed to be at those places but that would have been the same price as a ticket on the plane 😭

i actually have, people are not interested in their own country , it is here on youtube that i have found the most people interested in Guyana and by extension a Guyanese youtuber. My only mission from here on is to have people see Guyana from my eyes and to look back on these videos with loved ones and be happy that i made them when i am old and gray headed and say "i'm glad i did that"

Which airport did you fly out of? How long was the flight, can you do this trip in a day or do you have to stay over night? This is a wonderful experience to see somewhere other than Georgetown. Thank you!
