I would assume Pink/Rose would be the kind of childishly abusive - harmful and toxic, physically and emotionally, without even realising it. Think about her and Greg an it makes a lot of sense. Yellow is definitely authoritatively abusive of her gems, Blue is neglectful (You've got to be a leader, Blue!) and abusive through her emotions, Pink is probably a childish abusive, and White would definitely be an emotionally detached and abusive. It's actually an interesting way to look at it, the Gem Matriarchs are all *terrible* matriarchs.

I believe that- Yes Current White Pearl was Pink Pearl, and that They Augmented Steven's/RQ's/PD's (White) Pearl to be mentally and physically capable of handling Pink Diamonds Request- It also makes sense in the "Game" Sense as it would have been a Toy she couldn't easily brake.

I just realized something, Pearl could be in greater danger then even Garnet. If white pearl belonged to pink, what if our Pearl originally belonged to white, and what if white wanted to trade back. Personally, I belive pink and white traded Pearl's when Pink got her first colony because White believed giving Pink her personal Pearl would keep the colony running smoothly. After all, our Pearl is darn near the most perfectionist Pearl shown thus far, she is meticulous even in her own mind and her personality compared to yellow pearl and blue pearl is probably the most suiting to whites, she goes out of her way to decoder what her master needs done (White does seem to be brainwashing her diamond now but probably wouldn't have needed to do that with our Pearl) also, thinking of Pearl in regards to Steven, Pearl is the most motherly in that she wants to take care of him even if it might not be what he or anyone else thinks is best, think when she was gonna take him into space or any time she has tried to keep him from dangerous information, sounds an awful lot like what white diamond would be like minus the extra level of crazy)
If you think about it pink may be the one who cracked white pearl. If white pearl was pinks pearl then maybe the mirror we saw in the jungle moon scene was a metaphore for White pearl who was made in pink's likness then pink may have just been in a fit of rage and punched her pearl out of rage not meaning to harm her. Realizing what she had done pink didn't think she should be around white pearl and asked to have her switched in order to protect her. This may be why white is so robotic because she feel like she needs to be perfect so she doesn't let down anyone else.

However, pearl's gem is located on the forehead just like white diamond therefore she is white diamond's pearl. As you can see white pearl's gem is located on the belly just like Rose. From Pink’s reaction to Pearl saying to discard her what if Pink’s original Pearl and Pink were really close and maybe one day Pink got into trouble( for interfering in Blue or Yellow’s business or throwing a tantrum that caused something to go wrong since Pink seems to have had a terrible temper back then) and maybe Pink pearl stood up to White then White mind controlled Pink pearl or tortured her until she did everything White commanded(scarring her mentally and physically) and during that time maybe gave our Pearl to Pink and keeping Pink Pearl as a reminder to everyone of what happens when you go against her and that’s why blue and yellow flinch because they might have been the ones to witness the mind control/torture or they were forced to do the torturing and feel bad

Theory time... I always wondered why rose had a star shape around her gem and why it was so significant. But when you look at white diamond her hair is star shaped, not only that she refers to pink/rose as starlight and even pink diamonds hair has 5 poofy parts just like a star. And since we know now that white diamond probably abused pink and caused her to become a temperamental child then we see where the star comes from. White diamond mentally abused pink and traumatized her to an extent where she subconsciously uses stars in her outfits. Just a mini theory
Since we saw Bismuth return in Reunited, it got me thinking. In Mindful Education, we saw Bismuth, Eyeball, and Jasper in Stevonnie's hallucinations. I think that since Bismuth was redeemed and learned of Rose Quartz being Pink Diamond, Eyeball and Jasper will quickly follow behind in being redeemed as well. Eyeball was in the trial, so the likelihood of her still being on Homeworld is high. Who's to say Steven won't come across her and appeal to her, as Pink Diamond? If White potentially heals the corrupted Gems and Steven returns to Earth, healed Jasper could be redeemed as she realizes she has been fighting her disguised Diamond. Just a thought.
I must admit, I'm not really liking the new talk sprite tbh. The flannel kinda hurts my eyes, I personally don't like the art style, and especially the facial expressions. It's a downgrade from the previous one, which was much better imo. This one looks like it was aiming to be more detailed, but the other one had softer features that were easier on the eyes. Also those shoulders are so broad/sharp it's lowkey disturbing XD Don't attack me, just expressing my thoughts and feelings about the new sprite.
Also, gem placement. Rebecca Sugar mentioned in a panel that gem placement is important; the forehead implies a cerebral character, stomach implies someone intuitive. Gem placement matches up with Yellow and Blue Diamonds and their Pearls, but is flip flipped for Pink and White Diamonds' Pearls. It only makes sense that they 'have' each others Pearls. Especially since Pink and White have such distinct personalities which definitely correlate to their own gem placements.
I personally have a theory on my own (that has nothing to do with the recent episodes btw): Simply put, rose/pink diamond CANNOT BE steven's mother. Most of my reasons come from real world science, but there are also certaind thing from the show that raise some eyebrows at the whole thing. 1) DNA: it is well known that, in order for a human to be made, we require 2 sets of DNA, one from the mother and one from the father, this is because each set of DNA only possesses half of the information requiried to do so; and seeing as gems are computer with light-made physical bodies (which CAN be done for anyone questioning that) it seems unlikely that they would possess DNA to begin with. Now you could get around this by saying that steven is basically a greg clone made in rose (and in before anyone says it, it wouldn't necessarily have to make steven identical to greg, even in cloning there can be genetic variations that make a slightly different set of genes from the ones greg would express). However, even if we make this assumption there is issue number #2 2) supporting the pregnancy: in order for rose to actually make steven she would need to support his formation throughout the 9 months it would take for a human to be born, that means supporting the nutritional needs, hormonal requiriements, encironment necessities, etc. And, keep in mind, this wold all have to be done to a T MANUALLY, since rose's body would not be naturally equipped to undergo these tasks the way a human woman's body would be. But let's say they can somehow pull off this unbelievable balancing act, then we come across issue #3 3) Giving up her physical form: 1 word; UNNECESARY. in the episode "lion 4: straight to video" we see rose pregnant (or pretending to be pregnant?). This alone disproves her "needing to give up her physical form", because steven is ALREADY THERE, inside rose's made up womb (or at least supposed to be there), as the whole process of childbirth is completed, steven's body would not need rose's gem to live, at all. (if he made it through the whole thing in the first place, he wouldn't need it afterwards). This is the one there is no answer to (and mind the MASSIVE leaps in logic i had to go through so far). after that there are the things that don't quite make sense regardless of everything else: a) Steven's powers: why? the gems have their "powers" specifically because their "bodies" are made of light simulations. by modifying their code they can alter their image (shapeshifting), generate light-made matter (weapons) and maybe break a few quantum laws (dunno about that one, see: pearl in "a single pale rose"). But steven's body is ORGANIC, the weapons can be made by the gem so that's not the issue; the issue is shapeshifting. Being organic, steven should not be able to change or shift body parts out of thin air. but he is. Now, we could assume that his gem simulates the shapeshifting by "making" the additions, but then how can steven shrink in size when he overworks himself? how does THAT work? HOW DOES ANY OF THIS WORK? b) astral projecion and possesion: oh yeah, remember steven can do that? Multiple times, we have seen steven leap out of his body and jump into other people's minds, he even straight up possesed lars and a stevenmelon in some ocassions. It doesn't make sense to me that a gem would able to do anything of the sort, at the very least, we haven't seen any gem do anything even remotely similar. we haven't heard anyone metioning it before or since, it the only one of steven's powers that seem out of place to me. c) only human-gem hibrid: statistically, it is very unlikely. that's it. d) greg: over the course of the show, greg has been the most down-to-earth and realistic character overall. Except for the big revelations: the human zoo, meeting he diamonds, and; most importantly of all; the pink diamond revelation. greg's reactions in these cirmumstances is UNNATURALLY CALM. he is way to traquil for a guy that just learned that the mother of his son and the love of his life was someone else the whole time. It's almost as if he already knew of all of it. It's just uncanny to me. e) known con-artist: DON'T KILL ME FOR THIS, but rose is now widely known to be a masterful liar and a great manipulator, she decieved the crystal gems for well over 5000 years about her identity, lied to pearl about the lions (not sure why though) and faked her own death. It is hard to me to take anything we are told about her at face value. that's all i got for now.
I think it's possible Greg already knows about Pink Diamond. The rest of this theory is really interesting. I can't wait to see the next season to have more answers to that :) For Steven's powers, the only answer I see it's because he's a diamond : healing, floating, etc. Jumping into people's mind could be a foreshadowing of diamond's mind control power, like White Diamond on her pearl. About Steven being a hybrid, I think nobody (I'm speaking about the characters in the show, not the creator of the show herself) doesn't exactly how it's work since he's the only one (or so we think). I agree Steven could be a clone of his father, that means comes from 100% of his father's DNA. That can explain why he's a boy like him. For his shapeshifting I honestly don't know. Maybe the "external parts" are made of light? For his mother's pregnancy, I think the Steven inside is exclusively organic at this point. And since Rose doesn't have any part to make him "out" (and I'm not sure we can makea caesarian on a Gem), she had to give up her physical form to let him out and so Steven was born :) Maybe in the next season we'll learn more of this, of Steven and his hybridity :)

BP and YP probably get along with their diamonds so well because they were specifically made with their diamonds in mind and in their likeness. They probably think along the same lines as BD and YD.
Our pearl has all the colors. Maybe she's like a mini fusion of all of the diamond's personalities. Which is why she's brainy but also super emotional and fierce all in one.
Are yellow and blue pearl ALWAYS accompanying their diamonds though? cuz we might have assumed that the two of them were in the arm ships during reunited, but then they weren't brought with everyone in pink's ship back to homeworld, so it feels likely to me that they might have stayed on homeworld when blue and yellow went to earth. I dont know if this changes the theory at all, because i'm not sure how important that premise was, but yeah, just something i noticed

So far we just know Pink Pearl got into mischief with Pink, and after multiple incidents caused by Pink, she got taken away under Whites possession. Pink seemed to really enjoy her pearl on the flash backs, could be one of the reasons she was so willing to just dump Spinel, as just another toy/replacement for Pink Pearl. Considering our pearl has white skin and whites gem placement, it's somewhat safe to assume they just traded pinks for whites.

I just noticed something. The pearls gem are located in the same place as their diamond. Like yellow and blue pearl are located on the chest like yellow and blue diamond. However, pearl's gem is located on the forehead just like white diamond therefore she is white diamond's pearl. As you can see white pearl's gem is located on the belly just like Rose. White pearl is Rose Quartz pearl

i have a feeling that WD was the one who planned the war but pink pearl found out about White's plan , so WD use her light power to make pink pearl lost her left eye and then take her as her servant so no one will know about her plan and so WD changed pink pearl's color to white , so White exchanged PD's pearl with our pearl to make her plan for the war work
IDK if this is true but in a episode when Steven and Connie was trapped in the tower in Steven dream blue mentioned "do one more thing bad and white is gonna take away your pearl" or something like that, But I personally think that pink pearl cracked because she was replaced by a new and better pearl and BTW this is just my opinion
From Pink’s reaction to Pearl saying to discard her what if Pink’s original Pearl and Pink were really close and maybe one day Pink got into trouble( for interfering in Blue or Yellow’s business or throwing a tantrum that caused something to go wrong since Pink seems to have had a terrible temper back then) and maybe Pink pearl stood up to White then White mind controlled Pink pearl or tortured her until she did everything White commanded(scarring her mentally and physically) and during that time maybe gave our Pearl to Pink and keeping Pink Pearl as a reminder to everyone of what happens when you go against her and that’s why blue and yellow flinch because they might have been the ones to witness the mind control/torture or they were forced to do the torturing and feel bad
So, if yellow and blues ships are arm's and pinks is a pair of legs. White diamonds is probably a torso, and when all the diamonds fuse the limbs will act as the body for the fusion.

Theory time...
I always wondered why rose had a star shape around her gem and why it was so significant. But when you look at white diamond her hair is star shaped, not only that she refers to pink/rose as starlight and even pink diamonds hair has 5 poofy parts just like a star. And since we know now that white diamond probably abused pink and caused her to become a temperamental child then we see where the star comes from. White diamond mentally abused pink and traumatized her to an extent where she subconsciously uses stars in her outfits. Just a mini theory

Is everything in this show a damn foreshadowing?
Since we saw Bismuth return in Reunited, it got me thinking.
In Mindful Education, we saw Bismuth, Eyeball, and Jasper in Stevonnie's hallucinations. I think that since Bismuth was redeemed and learned of Rose Quartz being Pink Diamond, Eyeball and Jasper will quickly follow behind in being redeemed as well. Eyeball was in the trial, so the likelihood of her still being on Homeworld is high. Who's to say Steven won't come across her and appeal to her, as Pink Diamond? If White potentially heals the corrupted Gems and Steven returns to Earth, healed Jasper could be redeemed as she realizes she has been fighting her disguised Diamond.
Just a thought.

I must admit, I'm not really liking the new talk sprite tbh. The flannel kinda hurts my eyes, I personally don't like the art style, and especially the facial expressions. It's a downgrade from the previous one, which was much better imo. This one looks like it was aiming to be more detailed, but the other one had softer features that were easier on the eyes. Also those shoulders are so broad/sharp it's lowkey disturbing XD
Don't attack me, just expressing my thoughts and feelings about the new sprite.

Also, gem placement. Rebecca Sugar mentioned in a panel that gem placement is important; the forehead implies a cerebral character, stomach implies someone intuitive. Gem placement matches up with Yellow and Blue Diamonds and their Pearls, but is flip flipped for Pink and White Diamonds' Pearls. It only makes sense that they 'have' each others Pearls. Especially since Pink and White have such distinct personalities which definitely correlate to their own gem placements.

I personally have a theory on my own (that has nothing to do with the recent episodes btw):
Simply put, rose/pink diamond CANNOT BE steven's mother.
Most of my reasons come from real world science, but there are also certaind thing from the show that raise some eyebrows at the whole thing.
1) DNA: it is well known that, in order for a human to be made, we require 2 sets of DNA, one from the mother and one from the father, this is because each set of DNA only possesses half of the information requiried to do so; and seeing as gems are computer with light-made physical bodies (which CAN be done for anyone questioning that) it seems unlikely that they would possess DNA to begin with. Now you could get around this by saying that steven is basically a greg clone made in rose (and in before anyone says it, it wouldn't necessarily have to make steven identical to greg, even in cloning there can be genetic variations that make a slightly different set of genes from the ones greg would express). However, even if we make this assumption there is issue number #2
2) supporting the pregnancy: in order for rose to actually make steven she would need to support his formation throughout the 9 months it would take for a human to be born, that means supporting the nutritional needs, hormonal requiriements, encironment necessities, etc. And, keep in mind, this wold all have to be done to a T MANUALLY, since rose's body would not be naturally equipped to undergo these tasks the way a human woman's body would be. But let's say they can somehow pull off this unbelievable balancing act, then we come across issue #3
3) Giving up her physical form: 1 word; UNNECESARY. in the episode "lion 4: straight to video" we see rose pregnant (or pretending to be pregnant?). This alone disproves her "needing to give up her physical form", because steven is ALREADY THERE, inside rose's made up womb (or at least supposed to be there), as the whole process of childbirth is completed, steven's body would not need rose's gem to live, at all. (if he made it through the whole thing in the first place, he wouldn't need it afterwards). This is the one there is no answer to (and mind the MASSIVE leaps in logic i had to go through so far).
after that there are the things that don't quite make sense regardless of everything else:
a) Steven's powers: why? the gems have their "powers" specifically because their "bodies" are made of light simulations. by modifying their code they can alter their image (shapeshifting), generate light-made matter (weapons) and maybe break a few quantum laws (dunno about that one, see: pearl in "a single pale rose"). But steven's body is ORGANIC, the weapons can be made by the gem so that's not the issue; the issue is shapeshifting. Being organic, steven should not be able to change or shift body parts out of thin air. but he is. Now, we could assume that his gem simulates the shapeshifting by "making" the additions, but then how can steven shrink in size when he overworks himself? how does THAT work? HOW DOES ANY OF THIS WORK?
b) astral projecion and possesion: oh yeah, remember steven can do that? Multiple times, we have seen steven leap out of his body and jump into other people's minds, he even straight up possesed lars and a stevenmelon in some ocassions. It doesn't make sense to me that a gem would able to do anything of the sort, at the very least, we haven't seen any gem do anything even remotely similar. we haven't heard anyone metioning it before or since, it the only one of steven's powers that seem out of place to me.
c) only human-gem hibrid: statistically, it is very unlikely. that's it.
d) greg: over the course of the show, greg has been the most down-to-earth and realistic character overall. Except for the big revelations: the human zoo, meeting he diamonds, and; most importantly of all; the pink diamond revelation. greg's reactions in these cirmumstances is UNNATURALLY CALM. he is way to traquil for a guy that just learned that the mother of his son and the love of his life was someone else the whole time. It's almost as if he already knew of all of it. It's just uncanny to me.
e) known con-artist: DON'T KILL ME FOR THIS, but rose is now widely known to be a masterful liar and a great manipulator, she decieved the crystal gems for well over 5000 years about her identity, lied to pearl about the lions (not sure why though) and faked her own death. It is hard to me to take anything we are told about her at face value.

I think it's possible Greg already knows about Pink Diamond. The rest of this theory is really interesting. I can't wait to see the next season to have more answers to that :)
For Steven's powers, the only answer I see it's because he's a diamond : healing, floating, etc. Jumping into people's mind could be a foreshadowing of diamond's mind control power, like White Diamond on her pearl.
About Steven being a hybrid, I think nobody (I'm speaking about the characters in the show, not the creator of the show herself) doesn't exactly how it's work since he's the only one (or so we think). I agree Steven could be a clone of his father, that means comes from 100% of his father's DNA. That can explain why he's a boy like him. For his shapeshifting I honestly don't know. Maybe the "external parts" are made of light? For his mother's pregnancy, I think the Steven inside is exclusively organic at this point. And since Rose doesn't have any part to make him "out" (and I'm not sure we can makea caesarian on a Gem), she had to give up her physical form to let him out and so Steven was born :)
Maybe in the next season we'll learn more of this, of Steven and his hybridity :)

BP and YP probably get along with their diamonds so well because they were specifically made with their diamonds in mind and in their likeness. They probably think along the same lines as BD and YD.
Our pearl has all the colors. Maybe she's like a mini fusion of all of the diamond's personalities. Which is why she's brainy but also super emotional and fierce all in one.
Are yellow and blue pearl ALWAYS accompanying their diamonds though? cuz we might have assumed that the two of them were in the arm ships during reunited, but then they weren't brought with everyone in pink's ship back to homeworld, so it feels likely to me that they might have stayed on homeworld when blue and yellow went to earth. I dont know if this changes the theory at all, because i'm not sure how important that premise was, but yeah, just something i noticed

So far we just know Pink Pearl got into mischief with Pink, and after multiple incidents caused by Pink, she got taken away under Whites possession. Pink seemed to really enjoy her pearl on the flash backs, could be one of the reasons she was so willing to just dump Spinel, as just another toy/replacement for Pink Pearl.
Considering our pearl has white skin and whites gem placement, it's somewhat safe to assume they just traded pinks for whites.
