Listening to the isolated bass track, it sounds like Jason played it finger style until 4:04. He changed to a pick while the open E was ringing on bar 118.
1000 merci ! 🙏🙏 C'est la première chanson que j'ai appris à la guitare, je l'ai jouée des tas de fois, je l'adore, je viens de me mettre à la basse et je suis contente de pouvoir la jouer aussi 🥰
Hi paul .. been having some fun with your bass tabs .. are you able to do a bass tab for 23' version of whitesnakes stormbringer please .. keep rockin dude
That’s funny, if you watch, “A Year and A Half In The Life of Metallica” Jason is shown playing a fretless bass for Nothing, I think it’s even on the music video.
It’s not confirmed that he was using a fretless, correct me if I’m wrong but I think he was also using a normal 4 string in the video. I’m pretty sure he was just experimenting with it on the track.
Nice job! So your notes about the "open D" - are you saying that what you play play on the 5th fret of the A should really be an octave lower? If not, where does the open D come into play? Thanks!
Thanks for this bass cover. Regarding ua-cam.com/video/0jwGEZtErVY/v-deo.html fretless bass: in official video for this song I thought that Jason uses fretless bass: ua-cam.com/video/tAGnKpE4NCI/v-deo.html
@@redgamer821 No, but some songs are totally unecessary to cover and put on youtube, like this one, because it has been done so much before. However, if you think a version might be wrong and you play a better version, then it's worth to upload.
@@Lfrm-420 I can offer my opinion though right? For me, I don't get why you would do a video which isn't building upon what people have done in the past.

I started learning fingerstyle guitar a few months ago and this song is part of that practice.
Thanks for showing us the bass on it 👍

Correct
It is possible that he used a Hipshot detuner or a similar device in the recording, so he was switching from E to D on the 4th string
Excelente gracias

Maybe Jason doesn't know because he didn't lay down the track in the studio... 🤷♀
Good video, but I don't understand why you chose this song when there are plenty of playalongs for it on UA-cam already.
Ahh cuz he fucking likes it! It's a badass song
So nobody should ever play a song that other people have covered...
