I can imagine how 93' Christmas could have been for Children
These toys were actually toys. Fun and imaginative. Not stiff electronic stuff like today.
Hell yea I actually got to experience this time period as a 7 year old kid. Was amazing. I saw the movie in theater day one and my family bought me and my nephew a bunch of toys.
It was amazing, I had like 85% of these toys
Love how they kept the "Look for the mark" line all the way up to 2001. That's just something you rarely ever see with toy lines.
I think it's because there were a lot of generic dinosaur toys even back then, so telling kids to 'look for the mark' gave an extra layer of separation from those 'normal' dino toys.

Back in 1993, I was a married man, 35 years old, no kids. Didn't care about toys or even see the movie. My wife would relate to me some weird news from TV or the papers. My inevitable response was " There's a lot of shit going on, BUT ONLY AT JURASSIC PARK! I still do this today, being married sometimes means your spouse needs to deal with strange behavior.
It's still happending.

Jurassic Park Series 1 and 2 were the best in their era's as well and couldn't argue with that but I still agree with what you said

Witness the slow de-evolution in quality over the years..... I always thought as time went on the toys would have become better, i was so.. WRONG. 1993-1998 was PRIME TIME to be a JP nerd.

THANKS! ive had this video saved in my library for almost a year... i was waiting for Hasbro to make at least one commercial for the JW Hybrids before i uploaded this, but with them loosing the rights to Jurassic i don't see that happening... Hasbro promoting a toy-line they no longer have the license too. =/

With all the respect, but did anyone else notice how in 2015 hasbro tried to minimize as much as possible the showing of screws on their toys and almost always filmed their toys from the screwless side in the commercials. With that said, I really enjoy the look of the 1993-2009 commercias and toys. Wish I was born in those times.
Thank God that Mattel is doing a very good job now.

Yeah man!! ... all those vintage tv spots got you frigging PUMPED and made you want to GO BUY ALL the TOYS!!! and recreate your favorite scenes from the movies !! i mainly speak of the 1993-94 and 1997 commercials! Even the JP3 commercials are not bad, but the JP3 toys themselves weren't anything amazingly special. Just my opinion. =/

One of my favorite things to come out of the JP3 line was the All Terrain Dino Trapper!!

I remember when i saw for the first time the 2009 commercial. I know it's literally a repaint of 1997 and 2001 Toys, it marked my childhood for being the first Brasilian commercial of an jurassic park toy line, and the first Jurassic Park toy line i have aquired

Waking up on Christmas to JP Dino’s were my best Christmases. My mother hunted high and low for all of em. I remember she got the last Stegosaurus but it’s tail was bent towards its body, she felt bad cause she didn’t know how to fix it. I didn’t care, I did wonder why it was bent but I figured it came like that lol

I celebrated 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park.
I grew up with the 'Jurassic Park 3' toy line, those commercials were really good. Sadly doesn't exist a commercial about the Ultra T-rex and the animatronic Spinosaurus, it's strange. Or even the Alpha Pteranodon!
Whatever, I LOVE the old commercials from Kenner and, of course, Hasbro's 'JP3' line. The BEST age of the franchise, not only his movies, but also the toy lines!
I started collecting in 2018, thanks to Mattel's 'Fallen Kingdom', and I really like the job Mattel's doing... but since past year I'm mostly dedicated to bought stuff from Kenner (19 pieces at the moment beetween 'JP', 'The Lost World' and 'Chaos Effect'), I'm really obsessed with the dinosaurs, vehicles and human figures from Kenner 😅... Damn, wish buy the greatest set of all times: the "Command Compound" 😍!!!

Now I know where the inspiration for the “Jurassic Park” animated logo used in the trailer for the 3D re-release.
I love how the kids just yell "DINO DAMAGE!!". I never really cared for the feature, but it just adds to the excitement of these old toys.
I just envy these kids. I loved jurassic park a lot as a kid (still do) , but i don't think i've ever had any of these toys.

i actually wonder if the slide out seat mechanism on the original toy line's jeep inspired the filmmakers to add it to the jeep that dieter rode in in TLW. that'd would be a cool give and take to see the movies and toys inspire each other instead of being one-sided.

I still have my original 1993 set .. I tried collecting the new stuff and ended up selling it .. old one is better .. the quality is just like unimaginable making feel like it’s your first experience of ever having chocolate.. the Dino skins on the toys from 1993 and the quality …. Nothing compares to them .. forever legendary .. even the box art work and presentation for everything is legendary… the new stuff sucks.. hard cheap plastic I have no idea it looks big at first until you put your side by side comparison with the 1993 set and the 93 set is way bigger with better quality .
Man, Kenner made some of the best Jurassic Park toys... too bad they went downhill when Hasbro started making them... those Jurassic Park 3 dinos were... bad.
