Very interesting video.I especially love the intricate pattern on the face. So pretty. I would love to make one, and I have been researching the topic. 3 things I read. 1. You must only use 1 thread, which will end at the navel, in a knot, symbolic of our umbilical cord. . 2. You must always wind the thread in the direction or path of the sun, from east to west. 3. You can never cut anything with scissors, once it is part of the doll, and you can never pierce the doll with a needle. I understand that one believes the talisman holds power. If I were to attempt to make one, I would want to follow the rules.
@@stigyanblue1442 You can prepare different pieces beforehand, just like the lady in the video. Also it's possible to cut the thread with the intention of cutting off something you no longer want or need.
Ukrainian Motanka dolls are so interesting! I liked watching how this doll is made, and wish to make one for myself. I also liked the music in this video! Very exciting music to listen to! Thank you for making this video! I pray for Ukraine to have peace, not war with Russia. Putin should get out of Ukraine!! ~Janet in Canada

How do you get the fabric apart without scissors?
