I have such a love-hate relationship with Vestiaire. I find I have to really spell it out for them when there is an issue. Like when I recently sold a bag and they sent me the shipping label and told me to contact the courier to arrange collection (it was a direct shipping sale within my own country rather than a sale where I had to send it to them). The courier didn’t show up despite contacting them everyday for over a week. I also contacted Vestiaire every day to figure out what to do. After over a week of this Vestiaire finally informed me that they hadn’t used that courier company for months despite telling me to contact them and giving me a shipping label with that company listed on it. It was so frustrating 🤯 and that’s only one of many stories I have with Vestiaire.
OMG that sounded like a nightmare... It's a love-hate relationship indeed! When things go well they are great, but when there's an issue, OMG... headache for daysssssss... 😵
I have a problem with their charging, 15% for the platform is fine and 3% payment processing, er, OK. My real issue though is that anyone from a different country sees the price with an extra 13% added by VC, which makes your items look more expensive. Apparently this is for currency conversion, but my UK credit card company charges 47p to pay in another currency whereas VC are adding £30 for £200 item. I wish all buyers knew to pay in the seller's currency - they would save a lot of money!
I was looking for a review on Vestiaire and found you. This video was so helpful and got a good laugh from it 😅 I’m glad I’m not the only one that can scroll for hours to score a good deal hahaha thank you for sharing 🫶🏽
Thank you for the video, it was very informative. Are there any local New Zealand (preferably Auckland if possible)places/websites to sell designer items you would recommend? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thank you for watching Carry. I'm investigating a few platforms to sell at the moment as I need to do a clean out. I don't a solid answer for now but I will keep you posted. Are you on my Instagram? x
@@carryzhen4639 Update: selling in Auckland/New Zealand, if you item is over $2K then Vestiaire Collective amazing because it's a big international platforms with lots of shoppers but downside is sellers in NZ has to pay for shipping which is around $350-$500 to the VC HQ. For items below $2k I usually use Trade Me or Facebook Marketplace. Hope this helps :)
I've had nothing but bad buying experiences with them & their customer service department is HORRIBLE. It could just be my bad luck , but nevertheless not going to purchase from them again. Good Luck to all.
Just purchased and received my first and LAST order from here. Was shipped after authentication in France to me here in the States. Beautiful Gucci bag...thrown in a too small box...with absolutely nothing. No tissues, bubble, no wrap. Nothing to waterproof it. Just the bag. No order information. So disappointed and disgusted. Chat CS zero help. Will not touch this platform again with a ten foot pole. Buyer beware.
Idk but you are cute and I feel like I was a designer in a past life. Bc this I feel is my calling. I would love to link up with you and make a difference.
I love buying pieces from Vestiaire. I got a JW Anderson pierce bag and a McQueen manta clutch - both pieces I can’t afford when I was still in university. 🫶🏽 But yes, their packaging needs (so much) improvement. 🥲

I want to ask, if I buy, will I pay more import customs tax in my country?

I’ve been wanting to invest in more Chanel items! THEY HAVE EVERYTHING AND GREAT DEALS! ❤
There's NO Chanel store in New Zealand so I want to get some bags from there too!
I have picked up great vintage pieces from VC. Most recently a Guccu skirt I wanted from 2 years ago, that I scored for $800. So exciting! 😊
Gucci skirt for $800 sounds like a great deal ❤❤❤
I'd give you 100 likes if I could, you are very entertaining I was LOL the entire time! xx💗
Aww thank you xx 🥰

Glad I'm not the only one that have issues with their packaging 😓
