A RENOWNED car customiser has taken a standard Mini and cut it down to an even more ‘mini’ size. With its 1300CC engine, it is so small that it’s even able to do a wheelie when driven in reverse gear! Customizer Andy Saunders told BTV: “I did the original build with Mini Ha Ha back in 1983, people thought I was nuts.” The Mini Ha Ha is one of the first and best-known creations by the famed independent car designer and customizer. “The idea came about when I was at school, there was a group of four or five of us and we were all into cars and I just knew that this had to be built,” remembers Saunders. The car was subsequently sold to a museum, before falling into disrepair. It then fell into the hands of car restorer Andy Shaw who has painstakingly restored it to its former glories.

You can use *_multiple effects_* at once, but the order matters.
This is italics _ *_within_* bold *
And keep punctuation within the effected area, or separated by a space afterwards.
I remember this car when I was about 18yrs old.It appeared in Street Machine magazine and I loved it.I even phoned Andy for qoute to do a shortened mini for me.Lovely to see it still about and top marks to the new owners for keeping it alive for more people to see.
Fantastic to see Andy Saunders and Mini Ha ha together again.
The man has built so many amazing creations over the years.

What an absolute gem of a restoration, you've literally saved this fantastic, genuinely unique car for future generations to be Wow'ed by!
The Wow factor is as strong today as when I first saw Mini HaHa all those years ago in the monthly motoring magazines.
It is very fortunate indeed that Mini HaHa was rescued by someone whom wanted to restore her to let others appreciate what an amazing vehicle this is!

Andy Saunders is a legend. I grew up drooling over all his builds in custom car and street machine , magazines ,when I was a kid. A brilliant creative customizing guy . Great to see been brought back to life by present owner . A great tribute to one very clever man
There use to be one of these in Glasgow, years ago. It was owned by the Mini Centre in Partick and I think it was there breakdown vehicle. It had a 1300cc Cooper engine, fat tyres and a HUGE polystyrene key sticking out the back. I think the police made them remove the key as it was a distraction for drivers. Wish I had it.
I remember when Andy Saunders built this car, it was in Street Machine magazine, he also built a really low purple Mini with white plastic cafe chairs for seats amongst so many other creations. The man is an automotive sculpting artistic genius.....just google his name and spend hours entertained by his creations.

I have a photo from the 80s of me as a kid with the centre page from a custom car mag showing Mini ha ha on my wall behind me. Takes me back 😀
0:55 I did mine in 1970, with parts from two 1961 Minis. I had no body on it, just joined the subframes with some angle iron. It had a 43” wheel base.
I saw a shortened mini in the mid eighties in my home town in Victoria Australia.. it sure was interesting to be passenger in as it was really pitchy given the ultra short wheelbase.

I saw this done to a Mini back around 1969-1970. It was parked near MIT on Mass Ave. in Cambridge, Mass. Kinda crude, I seem to recall a lot of pop-rivets across the roof.
I was there that day and got to stand right next to it. I was blown away knowing how rare this car is and I am one of many who get to see it. Only bloke I know who didn’t like it was my father.

it looks great, I love it. paint is metal flake orange. big size flakes.
that is so cool! definitely needs original wheels tho, the ones he has one it don't look quite right, but maybe there's a reason for them I don't know about.
Someone here in Australia copied the idea for a couple of tumbling-minis by adding 'rolling-cages' over the top of them. Remember seeing them perform at an agricultural show about 50yrs ago!
There were 2 of these in Cape Town in the 1980s. One was an open top like a Fiat X1/9.
