Try to find a aims74 front site . The romaninan aims 74 has a different thread pitch on if memory serves me. Looks very similar to a 74 brake. And if you know all this, I'll shut up now lol.
The SAR is not really an AK-74, it is really just an AKM variant chambered in 5.45 keeping AKM features like the 45 degree gas block. Why it has no muzzle device is because those were imported during the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. Military Romanian guns had a front sight base threaded for muzzle devices like the AK-74, but the Romanians went with a different 22mm thread instead of the Soviet spec 24mm
@CLIPAZINE just picked up a SAR2 from a pawn shop for a really damn good price, and they threw in 2 spare Bakelite mags, a gun case, and 1,000Rds of non corrosive 5.45x39mm im happy as a clam and cleaned it the moment i got home
@@clipazineofficial I’m seeing online prices are now ranging from 1.2-1.3k. Mine even came with a cleaning rod and a cleaning brush in the tin filled with ammo, and I didn’t dig far but I’m hoping it has the original oil can. I snagged all of it for a cool 600$
@@clipazineofficial honestly over the phone the pawn shop said it was an SKS so the price was reasonable in this day and age, but where I went looking for iron, I struck gold
That gun looks like a lot of fun!
Yes we want to see Billy!
We may have to make it happen then!
😁
That intro. Haha. Pretty cool, gents. I love the AK platform.
Not our best but not our worst!
The target cam was a great addition 👌
Thanks Jacob! Any idea how we can utilize it better??
@@clipazineofficial slo mo?
@@salembirdnerd good idea! We’ll see if that camera does that!
Nice dude. Love my 74 as well- though mine's Bulgarian. Love your channel, glad to be here before it blows up :)
Aww, such kind words Eeyore! You really think we have a chance?
And sweet Bulgarian btw!

great video as always!
Thanks Ryan! We know it’s still not up to your HiPoint Carbine standards, though… maybe you can loan us out one of those for a future video??
@@clipazineofficial I shall consider it :p i think it should be loaned to you with a few revolvers :P
Amazing video guys!! Loved every second
Thanks Maps, we love you!

Thanks for the context, very informative!
Obviously. As was stated in the video. Just like every civilian variant of an AK47 is not an "AK47", but we still call then that...................
Pedantic much? Does “AK-74 pattern rifle” work better for you? FFS get a life!!!
HE WASN'T READY 🍍🍍🍍 LOL
Randy, you need to shop at Men's Warehouse!! You'll like the way you look 😎
Do you guarantee this?
@@clipazineofficial I guarantee it.
@@jessicafu oh, well in that case!
i hate to be that guy, but. that looks like a wasr 2
It’s OK to be that guy 😂 you’re probably right. I’ll ask Noah!
Oh wow, but literally the same in function and caliber to an AK74, except no full auto, "Guy"............
@@clipazineofficialThe most obvious difference is that a WASR doesn't have a dimple above the magwell while the SAR-2 does.
@@n0tthemessiah good info, thanks!

BRO THAT IS AWESOME! Hope you got out of there with a semi-good deal, but either way… that’s awesome! Congrats.
