For example, in the beginning of the song, you are just tapping it lightly so it rings out a bit more, and then for the verse, you put more pressure on it so it's more defined! Awesome job!

It is a way of taking the small time to give thanks, to get into the beat that they have to perform for the singer and other band members and to actually also help put the listeners into a worship theme. PLUS, practice, practice, practice, practice...

Amazing cover, been practicing directly from it for quite some time now but can't seem to figure out what the sticking pattern is at 3:29. Kind of seems like single strokes with some accented hits, but I'm pretty rusty on my rudiments so any help would be much appreciated

I had truly enjoyed your video of your drum cover. Just a small note, you might want to play some songs on a video that are a little bit up beat. Not all sermon songs are slow, if they are, it is because they have a newbe or a bunch of newbes on board. Having played in a band and retired (thank God), I really appreciate others playing. I think what you're hearing on the album in that verse is hi-hats keeping time with the left foot.
