Could you do a video about where to find the tastiest healthy options like fruits, veggies, salads, etc? We get so burnt out on sweets and fried food, and always crave healthier meals towards the end of our vacations.
I love the relaxed unplanned moments! Cast Members sometimes play games like bean bag toss or hula hoop with kids. Sounds silly, but a few minutes break for pure play can be delightful in the middle of a crazy packed day. Adults can sip a cold beverage or sit in the shade while littles have some old fashioned fun. It’s really lovely, trust me.
Yes! My kids and I always like to sit somewhere on main street and enjoy popcorn and a cold drink. We caught some characters coming by last time we were there! Priceless ❤
So true! We stumbled upon a "Beauty and the Beast" story time at the Enchanted Castle. Kids got to dress up as characters while Belle told the story. I remember the stuffing myself into a costume for a 12-year old and hamming it up as Gaston! My wife and Belle were practically ROTFL. Great Times!
The hype thing is so true! I took my kids and on the way to the airport we listened to a Disney Playlist (we drove out of state to get a cheap flight with no stops) then we all wore disney themed clothes the week before and we had disney coloring books on the plane! The kids loved it and had fun coloring all the characters they would see! It also helps little ones understand a little bit more!
I have a spreadsheet with my Disney packing list to alleviate the stress of packing to go AND packing to leave to ensure we don't forget something we've brought. And yes, I do include an extra bag that collapses easily in case I have extra souvenirs-and let's face it-it happens every time!
We have always put together a list of what we want to do etc. My mom has made a spreadsheet for two of our trips. And I always do a packing list for wherever I’ve traveled because it helps me be organized 👍🏻
Doing less is a great tip! My mom and I took a less hectic trip to Disneyland in the Fall. We got up a little later, took it slow, and only did what we couldn’t miss instead of squeezing in everything. One of my favorite moments from that trip was spontaneously watching the flag retreat on Main Street. We loved the ceremony, and we will remember that memory forever!
I’m a lifer, but this is the first time in 25+ years I’m not feeling the Magic and will likely not book a long vacay at Disney. Not sure what’s going on (I don’t think it’s any “one” thing), but I’m just not feeling it right now. And we’re all APs even though we live in the Midwest.
Kind of feel the same here... we're from canada but have been making 2-3 annual trips since our kids were born, we havent gone back since Covid and looking at videos and what disney has done I just feel like It'll just be a huge disappointment if we go right now...
Been watching since November, when my mother announced that we're finally making our first ever trip to Disney World. 😊 These videos have been super helpful for both of us, as we're control freaks with anxiety and will probably spend the whole trip in fear of the unknown rather than enjoying it without some level of planning ahead of time!
@@amberlyons6213 Our trip was fabulous!!! Everything we dreamed it would be, everything I wanted it to be when I was a little girl! We're actually both diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety, which makes it difficult to plan stuff without being control freaks. Luckily, my step-dad and my partner are good at just letting us guide the trip, ya know? 😂 We had a lot of fun, even when things didn't go exactly according to plan 😉
Dense with helpful information and great advice. Among my favorites are "do less", "have a resort day" and "try something new". I love trying out foods that are out of my comfort zone
Aunt and Uncle got me a trip on short notice from the 22nd to the 28th this month and my anxiety is going crazy over what I’m gonna do with nothing planned lol
I've been able to scare up a trip for my family around the same time and just going with the "go with the flow" mentality. I made park reservations and a handful of dining and just planning to see what happens from there.
@@JoniMuchow yeah that’s pretty much where I’m at. Just happy to be able to go back to the parks and whatever happens, happens. I’m sure it’ll be fun regardless
Some of the best food is quick service and some of the best sit down restaurants are hidden gems. One of our favorite places is the Floridian Cafe and it is almost never fully booked.
When you stop having fun, it's time to stop and think for a few moments. Why aren't you having fun? Will an ice cream help? Or maybe the right move is to go back to the hotel and break the heat and humidity with a dip in the pool. Maybe you need a nap. It might energize you enough to let you go back to the park for a few hours in the evening.
JELLY ROLLS is the first trick to a great trip. Normally I drive down from the NYC area to Disney. So - the first "attraction" I go to at Disney is Jelly Rolls. It is for me the best way to progress out of the real world and into the Magic. (ANd I do not drink alcohol). But I am far too amped up from the ride to actually sleep right away. Although it is not my main profession, I am a musician and love to sing along with the two dueling Piano players. Afterwards, I get a reasonable sleep before I head to the parks the next morning, Have been doing this ever since they closed Pleasure Island - still would like the Adventurers club to come back. I have more than a dozen pins from there.
Unplanned Moments is so true! Our last trip (my first ever), we had a day in the middle to chill and mill around while the rest of the family headed to Universal for the day. So after goofing around in The Big Blue Pool (and being delighted to discover the underwater speakers played different music from what was above!), my husband and I went to Disney Springs on a lark and stumbled upon what turned out to be my favourite restaurant of the whole trip: The Polite Pig! I dream of those brussels sprouts.
My biggest tip for parents is to go without your kids! Lol! We take our son with every other trip to Disney World. Let me tell you, it’s A LOT more fun going to Disney without your kids! I truly believe Disney World is more fun for adults!
I always leave 1 or 2 days after a Disney trip when I get back home from a Disney trip or any vacation to decompress. You do not want to go back home and have to go to work the next day.
Yea! I loved my Spring 2019 Trip. I did avoid Easter Vacation Crowds and planned every day and had a fabulous time. Have fun! Check the weather before you go. I wore short sleeves some days and a Winter Parka on others, but I didn’t get rained on.
Be our guest was the worst restaurant we ate at while there! Best restaurants were Cinderellas royal table and the grand Floridian cafe (lobster burger 😋)
There are ways to mail a box of shoes or dirty clothes home, at least a Disney Hotel can make this fairly painless for you. The Bell Services Desk has the form and a Hotel Shop is likely to have an empty box for you.
We have tried to make reservation at the space 220 but it is impossible! Getting up early didn’t do it either and we have been constantly checking. Do you have any other suggestions?
In the past, I have seen them them suggest checking two days and one day before the day you want to dine because that is when people would cancel if they didn’t want to be charged the
I’m going to Disney next month for the first time but just for 2 days. I live like 8 hours away so I’m driving there. But I’m pretty much just gonna let genie+ plan my days. I don’t know what I’m doing.
Aj for dinner reservations I have 3 or 4 hard to get in restaurants that we want to plan during our trip I'm super stressed without the 160 days pre reservation time :( what can I do??? looking for Ohana, California grill, space 220, be our guest, tusker house, artist point, homecommin, and sye fye drive in I know the first few are going to be hard. Is there a way you can look up availability by restaurant?? look for your all of your Vaca to try to get a needed reservation at some time during your stay? I need the reservations# so they can help me book it all like they use to. Any tips on getting my reservations trying to show my family the best and I NEED Ohana ...I didn't even book my vacation until ohana was open it's s must for me please help me AJ
I’m going this year in August with my family and this will the first time since 2018. I was wondering what type of bag should bring that is easy and light that I can carry my new souvenirs? I keep watching AJ’s vids but I was just wondering. I also wanna know if I should buy the other kyber crystals?
It’s actually out right now! Don’t forget that if you enter in the promo code UA-cam it’ll save you money! No I don’t work for them, just a happy viewer and customer :)

Get the park hopper so you can do all four parks, if you miss a ride you need to go on you can go back. enjoy what you can....and only do what you really need to because no one can do everything
Understanding your party dynamic helps with the "let your party help plan." One of my daughters will definitely want to have input into the planning. The Mrs and my other daughter won't care what we do and will be happy with whatever. This doesn't mean that I don't have some surprises in store for them, but I want to make sure the one who wants some level of control over her trip feels like she has moments that she knows are coming and can get excited for!
This is great advice, AJ! When my kids could fit into a stroller, we would leave the park and let them nap. When they woke up, we would feed and bathe them and they would be fresh for the evening and we could enjoy the desserts and fireworks. I’m not sure what we will do now that they’re out of strollers and the long walk to transportation may do them in.
Helloo everyone, Please let me know where do you bring your baby or toddler who is little . I have a 3ft just turned 2 years old toddler. 😊 Me and his daddy are just going to go ride whichever he is allowed. Will be there in 2 days 😊 Thank you
Some of these things are really for Annual pass holders or someone who there on a week long trip. Disney makes it hard for the guests that are there for just a few days, especially if they want to do some things that they only get to do once or twice every 5 or so years.
Could you do a video about where to find the tastiest healthy options like fruits, veggies, salads, etc? We get so burnt out on sweets and fried food, and always crave healthier meals towards the end of our vacations.
That would be amazing! Or where the best/easiest places to get a specific diet (vegan, Paleo, keto etc)
