Michelle Zauner is awesome. She perfectly described the soul-sucking life of an office job. I'm so glad she left and pursued her creative dreams! Crying in H Mart is my favorite memoir. She is such an inspiration.

I just "discovered" her yesterday from an interview on NPR radio. She has completely impressed me, with her being so articulate and intelligent. And now, today, to see how physically beautiful she is - Wow!! I have ordered the first Japanese Breakfast cd - previewed it on UA-cam, it sounds amazing. I wish her as much success as she is able to handle. She seems so deserving of it.

I am sorry for the loss of your mother but you are beautifully Asian. You are lucky to have grown up in the US in this historic time. Mixed babies from the war times were prized if they looked as Asian as you and hidden if they were in Asia as times went by if they looked less Asian than you and I am talking about girl babies only. In the US if the more you looked not Asian but the American people felt tricked and reviled when they found out that you had a "yellow" mother. Thank you for being this progressed person for all of us that came before.
