I was lucky enough to be let into this wonderful man's life for a while. He put me up in his house. He recorded my bands single and album in the mid 90s he even put his voice onto one of our songs on the single. Was a great time spent and will never forget it . Total legend and it's wonderful to see him still playing and bringing joy to people.
Its priceless seeing frankie's face light up vvhen the audience joins him singing "Springtime" . It is a fantastic song afterall & I really enjoy these acoustic versions .
I have been chatting with Frankie tonight at a gig tonight in our hometown of Sunderland. It started when he complimented my sax playing and asked where I'd been hiding for the last thirty-odd years :) Unsung international star in its truest possible sense. An absolute privilege to share a bit of him. Hope you are well, Luigi!

NO! I think The Stormy Petrel was the perfect swan song, and my last Leatherface show was the most memorable of all. It's good when things come to an end on a high note. But was Frankie touring Germany this year?? Or just a one-off show in Hamburg?

Frankie will be playing at Wonk Fest in London on 27 th July!
Be there!
Maybe Frankie Stubbs will write a autobiography one day. Would be very interesting.
This is just fucking brilliant. The only drawback of Frankie sitting down is you don`t get his world famous shuffle!
FANTASTIC! Brilliant crowd - knowing all the words to every song!!
I love Leatherface! Oh man, this is amazing, thank you Frankie, cheers from Brasil...

Beautiful. Wonderful to see Frankie enjoying it too. Sincerely hope to see him in the UK one day.
Pure pleasure... goosebumps and tears
Felt really privileged having been there. Magic evening.
Ah..... best way to spend an afternoon, listening to Mr Stubbs! Still the best. Thanks for going to all the effort 🙏

Wow! thanks for uploading.
Gracias por tanto Frankie
Y también muchas gracias a quienes subieron esto.
Wow....
Springtime looks so bloody hard to play.
No, quite easy. Not superstitious is tough though.

Fuck me. I cried a bit. Alllllllll I can do...
please come to Greece!!!
Very cool
Great stuff, wee treat close up guitar playing as well! Get to Glasgow frankie!
I was blown away when I saw Leatherface play with Hot Water Music. Incredible.
it's not the same without Dickie, but I'll still take Frankie all day long
Me:
thinking Not Superstitious has a simple chord structure.
Me, after seeing it played live:
“What the fuck?”
Yup, genius!
Andy. Maybe not as good solo as with the band but what a song.
New Leatherface album? Please?!
Won't be the same without Dickie :( I do love the records in which he didn't play, but now it would be different... RIP good man.

What treat!...wish the crowd would pipe down a bit though :0)
best audience ever
Seriously. I was so happy, until the audience started 'singing' louder than Frankie...
I was about to the say the same, but I realised I was just jealous of not being there.
Дайте уже оператору пивка кто-нибудь. :D
Wish people would stfu. Otherwise absolutely marvelous.
I hate when people sing along. They did the same thing obsessively to Pat the Bunny, and ruined most of his live recordings. When it's acoustic, stfu.
fuck the recordings. you HAD to sing along at this show. fucking intense...
should stop TALKING though...
Awesome
