  • With more than sixty years of history, DIE BÜHNE is a German amateur theater steeped in tradition. Most of the actors and actresses are students who pursue their passion for acting at the TU Dresden theater. Yet, the members of @DieBuehneDD are not only on stage: Many of them are also involved in technical services, costume and stage design, make-up or in the running of the theater.
In the Hot Seat, the amateur actors reveal why they didn't study drama, how they learn their texts by heart and what their most bizarre moment on stage was. They also talk about traditions in the theater, favorite roles and tips against stage fright.

    Hot Seat:
Each episode focuses on a different group of people who all have something in common - be it that they share the same workplace, same degree program, or same research area. We ask them questions from our community and do away with clichés and prejudices.
More about "DIE BÜHNE - TU Dresden’s theater":
DIE BÜHNE is TU Dresden’s theater. Traditionally, the focus is on professional theater work with students from all faculties. Drama, performance, readings, concerts - the repertoire of DIE BÜHNE is diverse and open to the members' desire to experiment. DIE BÜHNE is a learning-by-doing theater, a theater workshop with professional production conditions and creative leeway. Each semester, they offer acting courses for which TU Dresden students can register. The DIE BÜHNE studio stage is located in the Weber Building at Teplitzer Str. 26.

    Hazloche un Broche (Jiddisch)
= Glück und Segen auf deutsch, wurde falsch verstanden, deshalb Hals- und Beinbruch.
