Love status effects. Very varied, from bleed and it's sheer damage, to poison and it's DOT, and frostbite with it's constant proccing. My personal favorite status effect is sleep, and a really good weapon for it is St. Trina's Torch, you should try it.
I just wanna say thank you, your videos have been a big distraction for me lately while I’m dealing with depression. Your creative builds and fun videos are always a joy. I really love status effects and with my depression I don’t get enough sleep, so I personally wish I could have St. Trina’s Torch to help me sleep. I’d love to see a build around that for sure, I’m sure it would be well received by my fellow depression brotherhood.
I have a build I call the "triple buff" build. I realized that the buildup of poison buff on poison mist AOW depends on your arcane so infusing a great stars hammer with occult means you get high bleed and poison (works with any weapon that has innate bleed). Throw on mushroom crown, lord of blood exaltations, kindred of rot exaltations, and St. Trina's torch for an intimidating and varied build.
That first invasion saw the return of a build I haven’t seen since Dks3; an “Artorias” with non-cosplay heavy armor and dual katanas. You hate to see it folks.

Hey Chase not sure if you'll see this but thanks to your entertaining content I've been able to hit the treadmill and get myself back into shape. The consistency of simply 15 minutes a day watching your videos while running burns calories almost as well as St Trina's torch.
My grandma is dying of liver failure from drinking too much. Her last wish in the hospital is to see a st Trina torch build. This will lift her spirits and make her last wish come true.

Funnily enough, an *Occult Great Knife* has an A-scaling in Arcane to aid with *Blood Blade;* outdamaging the Reduvia's (Just have a bit of regen to make up for the minor HP loss) Also, don't underestimate *Spectral Lance* on Pure Arcane setups; pairing it with the *Arrow Reach Talisman* can result in cheap, yet effective snipes that have surprisingly good tracking!
Always nice to watch as always. I'm still laughing at that skeleton beastman that kept dying and reviving over and over, and of course at the constant attacking out of hitstun from blues. One weapon I'm surprised isn't seeing more use is the guardian swordspear, keen infused it gets some pretty nasty AR and it has the jump R2 into R1 true combo when one handed, on top of being a halberd with all the pros that go with that, esoecially the high poise damage and running poke.
Occult builds are fun -- and there's a bleed weapon of every category, so there's no shortage of playstyles whether you want to use halberds, greatswords, or claws. In fact, I kind of wish Chase had put the Morning Star as one of his weapons -- a bleed hammer with a thrust is perfect with a parry shield for roll catching, countering, and even trading if you have the right Ash, but I don't think Chase likes hammers.
I'm glad the Flamberge exists for Greatswords... Off the top of your head, do you know if there's bleed on any Curved Greatswords or Colossal Greatswords?
Please do a video with Eleonora's Poleblade! One thing I find that helps is that if you can predict and trade the first hit of its ash of war in their face, you're guaranteed the whole bit. Better to do in up close then from range where you can get punished unless you predict a roll

Yo Chase, are you still using that PC with the Intel 10-core 7900X? I've seen some framedrops in Volcano Manor in this video and just wanted to let you know that this would explain it. ER only runs completely smooth on Ryzen 5000, Intel 10XXX or newer. With the core counts of modern deskop CPUs, you'd also gain a performance uplift when rendering videos. I also heard that getting a new CPU makes the St. Trina torch 20% more effective.

I am sure you already know but there are several blunt weapons that do not lose their STR scaling completely when made occult. For example the Brick Hammer gets B STR and S ARC at Occult +25. The Warp Axe is great for this since it attacks faster than the rest and gets B/B scaling.

Arcane + occult is the META as far as I can tell. It boosts unique properties like bleed and sleep, and scales the physical damage FAR higher than physical affinities allow. On a high strength build my lvl 250 does 5-600 with a banished knight greatsword, with occult and 99 arcane he does 7-800.
It depends on the weapon. Typically, Occult is a flat downgrade over something like Blood if you're meeting multiple softcaps. If not that, Quality is the way to go for pure AR. Occult Banished Greatsword is 730~ AR at 80 arcane and 40 str/dex while Quality is 799 at 80 str/dex. Also, you hardly have a "build" at level 250. Thats incredibly overleveled considering that the multiplayer meta is 125-150.
Y'know what could be fun. Heavy armor or Iron jar, possibly both and use melee incantations or sorceries. (Y'know magic bonk, Moonblade, Aspect Tail those kinda spells)
I realize this is late, but if you wore the white mask from varre it further increases your damage output by 10% when there’s blood loss in the vicinity.
The great horn hammer has a surprisingly high bleed build up. I don’t know if it’s cause my level is 335 but wild strikes on it is really fun with it because it has surprisingly good hyper armor when swinging from left to right that is. Doing the second part w/R1(2) you kinda lose it
I got a 90 arcane build lol the blood buildup from occult ash’s becomes huge really with any ash of war set to occult with arcane pumped will have the ash deal more bleed build up but occult aow will benefit from it the most
Next time, maybe try 50 Arcane since that's the softcap and the difference between 80 is only 10 extra bleed on an occult flamberge. THen put the spare points into STR or DEX and make it a pure bleed build. A bloody Iron Greatsword will have 30 more bleed and almost 200 more AR over Occult Flamberge with the same investment.
Friendly reminder that sleep buildup scales with Arcane. Knowing this, you can probably guess where this joke is going

There’s a delay when using blood blade. Reduvia is faster. The faster cast is better imo for PvP
+1 for spectral lance. My first playthrough was that on a nagakiba. Has just the right arc for midrange headshots.

Coward spells used by nerds, a real iron jar caster uses a pickaxe and stone digger spells exclusively.
(They give you hyper armor)
warping away usually fixes the invisible phantoms for me.
