Keep it up. I been listineing to you since you first started and you are begining to master your craft. A hint of quirkiness, jokes and knowledge is a great combination!
Nice review, I will be getting the Kailua as like HBBs IEMs & haven't gone wrong with any of the sets I've bought. I'm waiting for someone to do a review of the new Shanling Sono as I also like the look of that but haven't heard any reviews on it's sound yet.
Got mine! It sounds really good. This one is small and fits well. Used my own cable and tips. I listen to mostly rock music and the Kaiula sounds pretty good. The nozzle is small,so there’s no problem with eartips fitting them. I did wish that they could have put a case with them. Good review and a great buy.
@@SuperChonk oh no I was trying to say I found your eartip tier list video and then discovered all your other great content ❤️ got all the info I needed. I just ordered the Azla Light version 👌
@@UpgradeLemonade I'm really glad you found them useful. Do let me know what do you think about them! Once again, thanks for the follow. it means a lot to me.
Cool review and comparisons ! I’ve been waiting for a review of this :) How does the Kailua, project Red compare to the Hexa? Glad you have the fun animation back at the beginning of your video :) Pretty smooth editing! “Natural” inserts were helpful!
I actually prefer the Kailua and the Red over the Hexa. The Hexa has a flatter sound without as much upper midrange presence and has a very distinct and smooth balanced armature tone. Both the Kailua and Red is a little more dynamic compared to the Hexa which I personally prefer.
@@SuperChonk Thanks SC :) My mature ears prefer a little lift in the bass and trebly ;) I like the Hexa for their ability to make mp3 recordings to better music all pretty likable. It sounds “right” but lacks resolution, and initially I was picking up on shell resonances. I put a better cable on the Hexa and it does scale up some. How does the resolution of the Kailua and Red fair - layering and details to the Hexa? Thanks for your insights!
How are these Kailua compared to QKZ X HBB KHAN? Both have 2DD config and tuned by same the guy but, Kailua are almost double the price of KHAN and many are complaining about shallow fit of these Kailua. Which one do you recommend?
Good review! I got mine and love them. Kailua is a good buy. Fit is good and the nozzle is small, so eartips shouldn’t be a problem. I used my own cable and tips. The Kailua sounds smooth with plenty of bass. I like it better than the Kiwi Ears Quartet that I sent back. This is the best buy for me since I bought the Simgot ea500, they’re like opposites. Simgot is more technical and the Kailua is smoother and not as technical. HBB did a good job on this one.
Which eartips will be best for galaxy buds 2 pro? And keep up the great work, earned a sub Another thing which eartips reduce treble and boost the mids and bass?
Does the Galaxy buds 2 Pro has a similar nozzle profile to nomal iems? If yes you can consider final type E as it is a narrow bore which reduces treble a little bit that allows you to perceive more mids and bass. Alternatively, if that is not enough you can try foams like complys which will reduce treble quite a bit.
Very different sound signatures. Gonna depend on what you like in presentation. Hexa is neutral bright. Pretty boring set but gets by on the clean and resolving treble. Good analytical set but it's not fun and doesn't have a lot of bass.
Kailua looks and sounds like a 20$ IEM.Great design and colors for someone who collecting Barbie dolls.Cable is thinnest I ever saw on a IEM.This set got very poor soundstage, intimate and congested presentation, lack of details and separation and metalic timbre.I returned this garbage on Amazon

A most excellent review. This looks right in my wheelhouse.
Lots of bass with a smooth non peaky treble with decent extension. It’s quite lovely!

I actually just heard it from a friend yesterday. Both are natural warmish IEM but The Kailua has more resolution by comparison.
@@SuperChonk If it doesn't really stand apart from the Kailua then I'll probably skip it, shame it looked nice, Cheers.

Yeah indeed a case would be nice. I hope on the next collab, one can be provided :)
Ive been refreshing yt to find reviews! I love u ❤

needed some explanation on some Azla eartips but also discovered your fantastic IEM coverage, earned a sub. Keep up the great work 🤘

Hello have you tried moondrop variations how it compare to final audio a5000? In term of technicality, soundstage, and imaging?

Totally agree! I feel that the Kailua is a very different flavor compared to the EA500. I honestly enjoyed both!
@@SuperChonk I totally agree!
Great review! How would you compare this to the 7hz Legato? Have an awesome day! 'Til your next video :)
Please review juzear 41t. I like your criteria.
Trying to decide if I should get this or wait to see what the new moondrop starfield is like
I think the Starfield will retail a little higher than these though.

Thank you very much for your kind words!
getting these a year later, $30 now on linsoul! nothing close in the price range
Just order this set in the latest Linsoul sale 😬
I saw the prices on these. It was a steal!
My worst IEM buy for a long time. congested and intimate presentation.Return to amazon in progress.
Plz explain it. Why it's worst
Is it better than the tanchjim kara
Tonally quite different. I do prefer a DD tone rather than a more pronounced BA tone that is more evident on the Kara.
I would get the purple one cos it reminds me of Freeza
I know right! It does have the Freeza colourway!

@@SuperChonk thanks mate but should I use final e tips on earbuds like I use my buds for workout that's why
Be careful as larger eartips might not fit into the case
Great review. :) Do you know how it compares to the Olina SE?
I haven't tried the Olina in a while so I cannot really comment. Sorry!
this or hexa ?
