The was interesting but I would rather have a list of the books that were checked out the most for the year not librarian picks. My library does that and it always amazes me what they are. My libraries #1 Fiction The Women by Kristin Hannah but it was the Non Fiction #1 was Barron’s American Sign Language and #2 was Laurel and Hardy Behind the Movies by Randy Skretvedt. The is from a library in Central NY😊
Good vid, but the audio was weirdly sharp. Sounded like my speaker was all the way up, but I only had it half way, scratchy/blown out sound. Made it hard to listen
Could you please recommend books that have a middle-aged woman (around 50), as the protagonist? As a MAW myself, I find it increasingly difficult to find books that aren’t based on a young person’s perspective. Thank you!
I am 42 and really enjoyed The Thursday Murder Club series, Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers and you may enjoy Killers of A Certain Age.😊 all feature more mature main characters.
I work in libraries and one of our top lending authors a few years ago was the person who writes the Peppa Pig books. Yup.
Ha! That’s neat - means the kiddos use the library.

My library did that too but it basically mirrored the top most recommended of tik tokers so it wasn’t interesting to me.

That’s fascinating.

Will be looking into Gretel and the Great War. Maybe Technofeudalism.
Both sound excellent.
Only a few days until the _real_ list of the best books of 2024 appears - Steve Donoghue’s list. 😀
