      Nice video & good news! But the animation of 'co-solvents disecting biomass' at 4:04 - 4:20 is completely wrong. (No offence, but it's not even close). The animation shows water molecules (H2O) disolving a piece of salt (Na+ Cl-).
      It currently looks very inprofessional I am sorry to say. If you want to fix it I could help you though (just reply)! I am currently researching exactly this topic, converting (woody) biomass into bioethanol using a biorefinery).

      70k views in 9 days says it all. Negativity drives engagement drives advertising drives profits. Bad news gets clicks. Whether due to fear, sadness, anger. Happy headlines MIGHT get a read, negative ones get reads, comments, all that engagement shit the algorithms track to decide what to feed you.
      If course it’s a little self perpetuating, too. Commercial news rooms decided decades ago that negative headlines attracted more readers; people see something that angers or scares them, they tend to want to know more so they buy a paper. So they started pushing only bad news and that system carried over into the digital age. Which, obviously, meant bad news sold more than good; if all people have to eat is cabbages they’re gonna eat cabbage, and that creates false feedback and allows people to draw the wrong conclusion: “people prefer cabbage” rather than “people will eat what’s available even if it’s cabbage for every meal”.

    The bio fuel. If we can do it for planes we can do it for road vehicles. That way we can utilize the vehicles that are on the roads now and not put them in land fill sites.

    • @mainaccount0007
      @mainaccount0007 26 днів тому +5

    • @mrleenudler

      Exactly. It's like "eco-colonization", taking resources from a poor country so that the wealthier countries can benefit from cheaper electricity prices. I'm also concerned about the thousands miles of underground cable that will require a ton of digging, and the amount of lithium mining needed for the solar panels. It's so shortsighted.

    Honestly, the bio oil thing is a very intriguing thing. Of course right now it's being used for plains, but honestly I can see other applications for this type of fuel source, especially for other large vehicles like ships or even rockets for space exploration, having a fuel source we can create rather then have to find and extract it's a good step in a more productive humanity. Of course Nuclear is it's whole other thing, but hey, one thing at a time.
