Remember how many clothes you found instead of guns. This is a trash idea imho. Been playing since day 2 of Beta. Let alone having weapons in start. So lame and really annoying. This is nothing more than the Devs taking your money and trolling you.
It would be great if they made good guns rare again. Back then getting a Kar98 was really difficult, and getting a relatively decent gun was challenging. The gun that you got was the gun that you had to use. That was the ultimate survival experience, and if you wanted to get a better gun, you had to drop in school or go to a military base.

Hope we could also use the fpp cam while sitting in the plane .

On console I drove through yasnaya and there weren't any buildings rendered, let alone play dough ones 😂
Did they bring back lagging out 13xs while driving 😅 also was always fun trying to grab a gun but pick up cloths instead

I had a potato pc when i first played PUBG back in 2017. I had like 30fps and it would lag all the time but it was still a very fun game to play.
Now i get to play Classic Erangel again but with better performances
I wonder if you drive a car to a flat open field all of a sudden you get a wall and die I used to have that happen a lot at least to drive off the road
Vault should be possible, because it's designed around the surfaces detected in front of your character.
They didn't make special objects for the vaulting feature. It should work as always.

this is a good chance for both OLD players and New players to experience the classic map
As an EA Day 1 player, I got back into it just to shake the rust off. Can't wait.
Bringing back features? Does that mean they are bringing back insta blowing up of vehicles?
They should bring back explosive car wrecks that sent vehicles twirling through the air and exploding on impact

No wonder why they removed pubg map pick in lobby cuz none single normal player would pick any of these maps over erangel "we lost a lot of players on other maps so we are removing map pick mod so now we are forcing you to play dog maps but hey don't worry soon enough we will give you old 2w erangel" this is average mindset of a pubg dev

I’m no fan of Sanhok but I liked the OG map and extras like the air field, gliders and the roaming loot trucks.
finally, i can see how much fps i will get with my actual PC in the Erangel Classic version of the map. $_$ i hope people do benchmarks compare of both.

Aiming and sensitivity settings felt so much smoother... grenades were OP and I loved the sound!..
Two weeks is not enough time.. though, they will notice how many players will be back on NA.

PUBG DEVS if you are reading these comments kindly note not having this as a special standalone mode to play "might" force many players quitting other lobbies just to get into the Classic Erangle especially with the fact that it will be available for only 2 weeks.

Honestly a step back IMO and a nuisance. The old map is good, but the fact that recoil will work differently in one map out of 5 is pretty dumb.
How is this going to bring in new players.Old players are going to return to a game full of hackers.
Take away the desert map, when it comes down to the last squads its all open field and hills. I hate that map, need a tokyo like map

I want to play PUBG all day long but the cheaters and Vikendi 92% of the time have ruined the game for me.
They should just take recoil out of the game on console because if you aren't using a cronus like 60% of people then you're screwed.

I completely agree. As an og erangel player, I don't want og erangel. I want new and improved erangel. But some folks like retro stuff and would prefer the original over remastered so I get it but it's just not for me. I'll play it but this is nothing to get hyped over imo. Maybe a special playmode over the weekend or something. Not next update announcement worthy 🤷♂️
Og erangel was fun but there's a reason why they call it optimization. I'm really not looking forward to this event and I really hope we have the option to choose or not choose this map. Erangel has leaped miles over the years, I really can't imagine going back to ground level. I feel like this was a desperate move to keep up with fortnite. Besides that, erangel is still the same to me just improved. Why tf we are wanting to go back in time to revisit that is beyond me. And we are throwing parties over cosmetics being on the ground? Like wtf? This is where we are in the game? Getting excited over an old map that had tons of issues? But hey! We can pick up a cool rain coat for 22mins 🤦♂️🤡 this update is pathetic on the devs end
The og map is iconic to new players like it was for Fortnite, which had new players lined up to play og Fortnite, because they heard so much good things from real og’s.Idk why UA-camrs are praising this return, when it going to frustrate new players.
I like there're many maps, but Rondo and Taego are just bloat.
This is such a waste of their Dev time.. Clothes on the floor was absolutely pointless, I'll admit there's far too many good guns on the ground in the initial drop but filling up the loot pool with clothes just makes it even harder for no reason.. We'll see if the community likes this but I highly doubt it, this will end up bringing people in but they'll end up realizing how garbage the game was initially.. Xbox pubg release was so buggy and you'd get legged out driving or a multitude of other reasons.. This will make the game look bad in the end..

map selection or big vs. small maps selection would be nice already. or just let us have every map in selection and not exclude some
