The problem with prequels is that you know that characters who were in the first game are going to live and that characters who aren’t in the first game either die or move.
Yeah it does take away the suspense. You could argue that it's about cherishing memories from people that have died but it still kills it alot for me when i know someone will die and thus the majority of what they do is pointless, at least to them.
Yeah they can work pretty good, but i guess part of why it worked so well in MGS3 is because it was a rather big timeskip instead of just being "A week before Shadow moses" or something. The more you go back in time the more you can establish things.

Just a couple of hours is usually enough to get intimate with someone (depending on chemistry). So have some suspension of disbelief...
Xenon 93 it's not love, it's just having a crush. You can't just fall in love with someone at the first sight. That's a misconception. In most cases such fascination is very intense but burns out just as quickly. Love, is what is left of it for the rest of the life.

Rachel’s character is very inconsistent as well, she cares about Chloe but yet she partakes in spending time with Frank according to the original game and even with Jefferson. This prequel was obviously a catch grab that doesn’t compares to the original game, I really miss Max.

Though it's still abit of a ripoff. I'd be impressed if they offer a twist and show this off as a alternate version where Max doesn't come back and fucks things up, giving the two a actual happy end. But I doubt that the devs would follow such a idea.

I enjoy the prequel. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the original Life is Strange, but as an opportunity to return to a universe I love and maybe add even more depth to the characters I know.

Until you consider the fact that Chloe being essentially a year older than Max makes no fucking sense in the first place (most notably with her being apparently quite aware of Victoria, in spite of never having made even a passing reference to her in the original game).
Chloe actually does know Victoria in the first game. If you chose to take a picture of Victoria in EP1, Chloe can see it while looking through Max's photos and she says something along the lines of "Karma's a bitch, you skank".

Honestly, this series was interesting for the time traveler narrative. I couldn't stand Chloe and when it came to saving innocents over someone that constantly got herself killed, the choice was too easy. Chloe was far more intersting paralyzed than some cookie-cutter, devil-may-care, punk girl.

Agreed, so many people fall head over heels with this game, and from the very first episode of the original game, I never understood why. I find this entire series to be complete, pandering garbage, but people eat it up. It's good to see others who have the same mindset.
Eh.. I myself appreciate the game's mechanics, narrative, art style, music, and I don't see any valid reason for you to shit on the fans and the game itself just because they liked it and you didn't. People have different tastes, and what do you do when someone has a different taste than you? You let them be, it's not your loss that they liked it and it's certainly not our loss that you didn't.

Just like you have a right to say how much you like it, I have a right to say I don't like it. People do have different tastes, you're right, what appeals to me doesn't appeal to everyone else, and vice versa, which is why I don't shit on other people for having a different opinion than I do. While I do have some complaints about certain aspects of the LiS fanbase, I never attack a person individually for having a different opinion or viewpoint than I do. I stick to the facts and focus on the quality (or lack thereof) of the game.

I enjoy the prequel. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the original Life is Strange, but as an opportunity to return to a universe I love and maybe add even more depth to the characters I know.

Just wanted to point out that Before the storm takes place 3 years prior to the original game and not months before like you seem to be implying. So all your time based sins are bullshit. Otherwise its an entertaining video.
Until you consider the fact that Chloe being essentially a year older than Max makes no fucking sense in the first place (most notably with her being apparently quite aware of Victoria, in spite of never having made even a passing reference to her in the original game).
Chloe actually does know Victoria in the first game. If you chose to take a picture of Victoria in EP1, Chloe can see it while looking through Max's photos and she says something along the lines of "Karma's a bitch, you skank".

Honestly, this series was interesting for the time traveler narrative. I couldn't stand Chloe and when it came to saving innocents over someone that constantly got herself killed, the choice was too easy. Chloe was far more intersting paralyzed than some cookie-cutter, devil-may-care, punk girl.
