Still goes hard! First time I heard this was in Cyberzone in Orlando! That was the night of the Ladies of Breaks. Baby Anne and Debbie D was in the mix! I think that was 2001.
Its funny that this song is coming back...I listened to it in my early 20s. My daughter who is 24 sent this to me saying I remember you playing this when I was younger.
Hola, Juanito! Do you know how I can post a very cool and relevant photo, here? I've tried a couple things, and I'm going to see if I can find any other suggestions (for android, and I have the premium app).
The great thing about Baby Anne is her ability to pick tracks that WIN and put em together- heres a prime example of her using Jackal n Hyde with Tony Faline to give you a fabulous intro to "one of her greatest CD's"
Got to see these guys at 600 North in Daytona Beach circa 2001. That was an ahhhhhhh-mazing experience ;) I'd do anything to rinse and repeat those days.
Miami is the home of the mother fucking bass, Detroit Motor City is always in the place, Germany, can't you see, is where it all began, Kraftwerk and Bambaataa had a Master Plan, Miami is the home of the Mother Fucking Bass, Detroit Motor City is always in the place, from Frisco Bay to the UK Electro Pounds the Ground, BBoys prepare for battle coz, This is the sound of the Underground.
SOOO Totaly LOVE Techno! Well I think that is the name of this type of music...suppose my daughter could confirm! Yep, she confirmed! Thanks for posting this!
Dammmm okayyyyyy shit I'm only just hearing this for the first time. Came around here looking for some DJ icey mixes and I'm happy to have found a cool jam 🙏❤️✌️🌍
Man this brings me back to my underground rave days. I remember The Edge way back in the 1990's...back then the Dust Brothers were untouchable. At any rate, the very first time I heard this song I think was at Ultra Miami in 2001. I can't remember but I think DJ Santana was spinning it. Although thinking back...he was always a Tampa DJ so maybe not. Whatever, I miss those days when everything was about community and the music. Then the fu*king scene kids came in and because they never knew how to act...the fuzz would follow.
I think it's generally about the evolution of electronic music. They mention germanny (Kraftwerk was the pioneer who influenced pioneers in miami and detroit), miami (where the miami bass sound comes from) and detroit(techno-city, belleville three) but this is just my interpretation.
I just hit 115 mph in my Mercedes AMG GTc while this was playing at 2:30 AM on Pandora (driving to my office to start the day). I so get you. The cycle of life is interesting - if I go back 20 years when I first heard this in Florida, I was leaving the bars in Ybor City at 2:30 AM. Now I'm working at 2:30 AM. If I look forward 20 years from now, my four young kids will probably be leaving the bars at 2:30 AM listening to something similar - and if they're anything like their mom and dad - drug free the entire time (or so I hope with good parenting on my part). Now back to the grind... money never sleeps.
This song will always be one of the best! 3 things: 1) As a South Florida native I can confirm Miami is the home of the motherfuckin bass. 2) In 2003 had 2 15" MMATS audio Juggernauts ported running off 2 MMATS high currents, Focal mids & highs running off 2 PPIs & 5 large batteries on 2 alternators so this shit was so clear & hit so hard in my truck I had cops calling & telling me "Turn your shit down!" because I did high end car audio & electronics & the place I worked had the contract to put alarms in all the cities squad cars so they knew me & my truck & could hear it way before they could see it 😂. 3) I had to replace the rear glass with a window for a solid one without one because you could slide your hand into the gap the window had since it was flexing so bad & I was going to end up breaking it. Good times.
My 10yr old son asks for this song on the regular!! Turned all of my kiddos into EDM/techno freaks..lol. Oldest is almost 30 and has passed that love down to my granddaughter these days. ❤🤘
Cause Baby Anne put is as track 1 on her Live in LasVegas CD, so now everyone thinks its her track. She is the Bass Queen but Jackal would then be the Bass OverGods!
Anytime anyone asks me how long I have been raving I always say since the sound of underground and they don't get it and probably never will
I miss these olden days.
And it’s ok cause this was our time
From Jacksonville to Miami and everywhere in between. Nothing like the 90's Break Beats. Mary B is the funk
