For .25 Hybrids out of the Superior Liner I run my Reg @ 150 BAR...after polishing the liner I run about 50-100 MkII pellets through it to season it in before I start with Hybrids & that'll take 10-20 of them to get the liner to settle down. Pull your barrel & probe...insert the probe into the barrel so it lines up with the transfer port...mark the edge of the probe against the barrel while inserted with a fine point Sharpie...reassemble and adjust the thread on the cocking rod/probe block as needed to line up when closed. Barrel set screw torqued to 20 inch pounds. Muzzle nut torqued to 25 inch pounds. Best velocity was 950-1030 fps but still shot good at lower speeds. You should be getting MOA out of her 👍
I've never bothered tracking barrel nut torque, thats a great idea. Its always been measured in my guns as "not too tight" or "try not to break it you moron" haha the liner is fairly well seasoned already but im keen to start over
Nice video..lil tip.. for those stiff parallax wheels. I found if I apply a dab of oil to the parallax and use a heatgun to spread the oil it softens the oring inside and loosens the stiffness. NO MORE SORE FINGERS
Couldn’t help but notice the Burris scope box on the table. I put a 3X Burris pistol scope on my Diana Bandit PCP multi shot.22 cal pistol and what a game changer. It can take squirrels, tweeties, what ever out to 50 yards and head shots all day long at 30 yards. 685 FPS with 15.89 Hades. If you don’t have this 180$ pistol boss...your missing out on some fun. It makes a great truck gun also. I picked this AOA adjustable scope up used at a local gun shop for 75$. Yeah I know what it cost new...what a deal right? Great optics and a forever warranty ain’t bad either. Think your Cane Toads might really be scared if you had a Bandit .22. Would love to see that video. Thanks and BTW dig your fashion sense...Ha Ha...whatever works right? God bless.
Hey, Meaty...nice to see some pre-Typhoon goodies...better get your rubber ducky and swim ring ready but it will have to be a BIG one since you are up on a mountain:-) Cheers and good luck!
Enjoyed the video mate. Wish I had some of your knowledge on the FX Impact. They are so expensive here in Aust. Add shipping cost to far away Perth also. Can’t believe the rain you guys get up there. Looking forward to the next Video. Cheers
Great video good stuff kandL nice but yes the polishing does work i polished everything in my impact even the washers in the reg. And the slug kit with pin probe i polished as well valve rod even a lil bit on the liner heavy superior helps i guess good stuff buddy thanks for sharing bsafe keep them coming 👍 😀
How about making a cast concrete bench rest top? You could even seed the logo of the channel with broken glass into the concrete top while its curing, then trowel it in, kind of like exposed aggregate without sharp bits. 💡💡🇦🇺
Great vid.. not one buuuuuurrrrp, odd. Try a Caldwell stable table, they are rock solid. The table surface is a little slick but that can be fixed or replaced. I lol'd when you talked about the rabbit hole of tweaks to improve your groups. I have been there, it never ends. The gun evolves from a modular multicaliber high mag capacity plinker/pest gun to a single shot don't touch it or even look at it funny because the settings are "perfect" bench gun.
I bought it because you can do all that stuff, I like that you can make it do stuff rather then just have to settle for what it gives you out of the box
@@deanmorriss7184 my impact worked fine without all the mods too just like the bsa, Bendigo, streamline, crown etc etc. They are "nice to haves" not really "need to haves"
Hello, nice video as usual. Just to say something about the paralax issue you talked about. I had the exact same issue, but thanks to Matt, I solved it. Either you put the front mount further to the front, wich it seems you can not do by looking at the video, or you just simply DO NOT tighten the front mount so much. Problem solved with me ! Cheers. 👍
Love all the goodies shame they dont make the extending butt for the crown( there's a lovely adjustable one ) as I'm a big bugger . One thought on the stiffness of the paralax (i assume u meant side wheel one) its possibly you may have overtightened the mounts , I had the exact same on an Optisan took days to work it out and was too late by then, thankfully they replaced it. Think the element only takes max of 17inlb.
@@meatheadmarksman2013 good job they have a no quibble warranty. The one really nice bit of kit i have for working on the guns is the torque screwdriver as thats the only thing you can really F**k up badly (prior lessons learned)
Also don't feel bad about the fx hybrid slugs I've tried everything to get them to group good out to 100 yards and I always get flyers ill get 3 or 4 in. The same hole then a flyer off to the side lol I've shot them at 1025 fps to 780fps and I always get a flyer lol but I still like them maybe I'm just a bad shot anyways thanks for sharing bsafe
Have you played with different lubes on your pellets? Great video, I'm looking forward to install the corrected safety that's not in the way 🙂. Funny how they have lived with that for all this time lol
Great video bud . Is the safety still on the same side of the gun ? I want mine moved to other side so I can use my thumb (like the M-16A1 and A-2 ) . I hate having to move my thumb from one side to other to use safty . I might have to make one for myself . If you don't like what you have ....make what you want .
Maybe the parallax adjustment knob need a wheel? 60-80-100mm may do the trick. Could go full out and put one of those great big 6” on it..Ha Ha...no just kidding. I use an 80mm on mine. Not too much really and only like 20-30$.
I don't really know what "ring of trust" means but im an element optics pro staff member if thats what your asking. im not selling the S&B, just trying new things.

K&L inverted safety is brilliant.
The original used to dig into my finger and I'd accidentally move it , the K&L solved it all.

Absolutely correct I love the helix and my parlex is stiff in areas and softer in others areas
Some folks suggested backing off the front mouinting screws, I did and now my side wheel is creamy smooth. My torque wrench must be out of whack
