Nice save!! But I still don’t want anemones in my reef tank for this reason… they’ll kill anything they touch. I’d rather set up a nem only tank if I want nems.
The nems I have are rooted onto an island rock and have never left it. That said I agree there is always the possibility of them roaming and wrecking things up
I agree they don't "typically" go together. But with large enough system, well conditioned fish and clams they can work. This is proven true not just by many hobbyists, but also many public aquariums.

Nice work with the dip. Seems so drastic but has always worked for me in reasonably healthy clams.
