    Hey Mel, you can just coat the raw eggs with food grade mineral oil and keeping them for several months refrigerated or at room temperature. Short-Term Storage (up to 3 months): Store at regular temperature.....Long-Term Storage (about 6-9 months): Store them in a cool, dark area - Ideally between 65-68 degrees & 75% humidity---Extra-Long Storage (9-12 months): Store in Fridge

    Save your egg shells and let them dry out throughly and the put them in your processor and powder them. Add powder to your garden for calcium. Great for your garden plants. And you can add some to your chicken scratch for calcium for your layers.

    That wind was no joke! This metal shed I'm living in had the walls shaking! I'm in the middle of cleaning up piles of limbs and dead trees and burning them as we finally got a little rain last night and the wind cooperated. Red flag warning lifted. I was a little upset that that wind blew around all my neatly piled up leaves. 😡 Gotta get it done before the danger noodles wake up! Blessings, Texas Deb ❤️

    Get an emergency tarp you can cover the shed but meantime start by buying enough PT 2x4 to span the shed with and spread every 2 feet across the roof. Cut all the boards to length and grab a bag of strap clamps. Go in the shed and run the strap up into the 2x4 wherever it crosses a post. Do this to all the boards to create a grid. This will lock all the metal beams into place and stabilize things. On top of the 2x4's just get some corrugated metal panels and screw them down on the top with each edge overlapping by at least one or more of the corrugations. Come back with a strip at the peak as a ridge cap and you will have a solid roof for a long time to come. Tarps are not meant to be long-term roofs. The sun will make them brittle over time.
    Home Depot black tubs with yellow tops are a great way to store tools against the weather.

      The totes you mention at Home Depot (HDX) are made at the company that I work at doing quality control. They are a huge account of ours. Our facility in Central Texas will probably be the one that supplies Arkansas.

    • @GoodwillCriminalsOfDallas
      @GoodwillCriminalsOfDallas 2 місяці тому

      @@kathrynmauro8673 I like the totes because the lids and sides hold up for stacking. Having some with a seal on the rim to make them water and bug-tight would be a nice upgrade. Perhaps adding a snapping lock for the lid could get a tighter fit. I would also recommend adding stick-out feet on the bottom. They lay flat on the ground so any mud or water gets all over the bottom. Just some ideas that might be used.

    Mel have you ever made pickled eggs with beets? I'm from Pa living in Ar now. Cook beets from can or boil peeled garden beets till soft, then with vinegar and sugar to taste and put cooked peeled eggs in jar ,pour juice over to cover and put beets on top to weigh them down. Google it if you don't understand my directions. Let sit three days at least till you taste one. Get red all thru to yolk. I also cut them in half and make deviled eggs with them, delicious. Good luck🎉
    You can also cook onion shells for onion eggs or make mustard eggs with a Pa Dutch recipe. Hope this helped.

    Here is a little hint hon , if you lay your bag of eggs flat in the freezer until frozen, you can either stack them up or line them up for space saving. I do that when we buy a large amount of hamburger, flaten out what is needed for each meal in a freezer bag, and freeze . Saves me room in my freezer . P.s. i love you and Garry ❤

    here is a thought, you could build a community freezer camp, basically you build a structure were you butcher the animals then you have a couple off freezer in the same building so you store the meat in the same area were you butcher them so you have some in your house but the main portion off the meat/ vegetable is in the community freezer camp.
    in this way then you dont need to have your freezer clog up whit meat and what not becasue it is in the freezer camp house.
    just a thought.

    Sheep need green grass, goats will eat anything. Plus goats will give you milk. Sheep will give you mutton, which is a red meat and Mel can't eat red meat. Pigs will eat anything and they are white meat. Goats love living in the woods for added vegetation and staying cool. there are some pigs that don't mind the hot weather.. Sheep prefer cool weather,, goats don't mind it hot and dry. and they love rocky hilly terrain. Goats and pigs like living in the woods and they will eat the vegetation down, so you can reclaim some of that land and they fertilize it. So if you rotate them around, the vegetation will grow back and that reduces the amount of feed you have to buy.

    Hey, Mel, when you get eggs like that next time stick. I'm in muffin. Cups wanted it in a cup. And then you've got individually frozen eggs. And what's their frozen? You can stick them into Galen's eyes, zip up bags and freeze like 12 of minute bag. Or so That way, when you need more egg for something. You've got individually frozen eggs and it takes up less space that way Plus if you use the fresh ones you get each day, then you have one's frozen for winter time when you're not getting as many eggs.
    2. Do they not make a replacement kit for the tarps for those tents? Because if they do, you could order one now while you've got the extra pool. And then just choose the get that order then. And then you'd have two tints that way.

    Hydrate done of those eggs it will save space in your freezer. You will need parchment paper, blender and a dehydrator. Walmart has just what you need snd the size. It takes 4 to 6 hours to do eggs.
