Crate training is actually real great! My dog is now 1 and his crate is now somewhere he's really happy to go - it's not just good for sleeping, it gives them a safe comfortable space that they know is just their own :)
Hi Molly, we have a 1 year old Cockappo called Elsie, who is black and white, we got her last September, and love her! I would recommend starting to brush her with a soft brush as soon as possible, as cockatoo coats can get quite matted and tangled so get her use to being brushed daily! Love Lottie! Xx
Oh my god I have a cockapoo!!!! They’re the sweetest most loving dogs you could ever hope to find, congratulations and I hope you have the best time with yours 😭❤️
Sabrina S they’re not huge honestly, if you go for a miniature poodle crossed with a working cocker spaniel it will be pretty average sized I can’t tell you exact measurements but I’m like 5”6 and my 5 year old cockapoo only comes up to below my knee?
When we got our dog, we put a hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket so he couldn't chew it, in his bed and he didn't cry at all. It makes them feel like they are still with their brothers and sisters, so if she continues crying try this!
lexi I do that with my dog, we put it underneath the pillow of her bed, she’s 8 but it makes her think she’s sleeping with someone. she was our uncles before he passed away and he used to sleep with her. Also if you put your top in your dogs bed it will make her more comfortable
I have a cocker spaniel and my biggest toilet training tips are as soon as they wee or poo anywhere in the house take them straight outside or take them and place them on the puppy pad or wherever you want them to wee and they will begin to associate the two actions of weeing and having to go outside etc also clean everything with lemon scented products as dogs don’t like lemons so once you clean an area with lemon cleaning products she shouldn’t wee there again! But stick with it she’ll be toilet trained in no time xx
The biggest thing that helped us toilet train our cockapoo was every time he did a wee inside put them straight out in the garden as it lets them know that’s where to do it and it only took a couple of months from doing that
Aw Lottie is so adorable!! Crate training is so useful, my pup is almost 2 now and she loves her crate; it’s her happy and alone space! Best advice is just to soldier through the crying at night for a week or two and she’ll get used to it! But maybe pop down in the night to take her out to the toilet? Otherwise you might be facing a bit of a mess in the morning!! Enjoy every minute of puppy-ness!!😍😍
So lovely seeing you laughing and being happy again! I really think Lottie came into your life at the perfect time for you, she's going to be such a motivator for you when you're at uni. Knowing you're not far from home and puppy cuddles will be so good for you. I hope the next few weeks of uni start picking up and improving for you💖
I have a 5 month old yorkipoo and he learned to sit after only a few goes and the same as down and roll. The stage of chewing things and not barking to go outside feels stressful but is actually over so quickly and my puppy barked to go out to the toilet in about 6 weeks as we made sure to take him in the garden frequently. Enjoy your time with Lottie, it’s literally the best ✨✨
i got bella, my black cockapoo about 2 months ago now for my 16th birthday!! aren’t they just the most perfect loving dogs in the world!! it took me about 12 years to finally persuade my mum and she finally surprised me with one!! you won’t be able to imagine life without lottie now! hope she gives you endless amounts of cuddles☺️xx
Omg Lottie is so gorgeous! I’ve got a cockapoo, she’s 8 now and she’s such a lovely dog. So so friendly, affectionate and actually quite clever! She was fairly easy to train as a puppy x
I got a cockapoo puppy about 3 months ago and she is the cutest thing to ever exist! She's ginger and fluffy and called Roxy. If she's not sleeping, then if you put a clock near her crate of which she can hear it ticking then it helps to settle them as it reminds them of their mums heartbeat. Also we have found that letting her have kitchen roll tube (once we've used the kitchen roll) and empty plastic bottles have provided a lot more entertainment for her than actual toys. She's so cute and i'm sure you're already in love. Hope uni starts to get easier for you, I go next year and am already nervous!! xxx
Cockerpoos are the cutest dogs. I've had mine for 2 years and she's so playful and excitable! They love anything that squeaks, and apparently all expensive shoes.
Hiya, I have 2 cockerpoos!! They are uncle & nephew, 9 months & nearly 2 x definitely go to puppy training classes - great for socialisation for the dog & basic tricks. Also I would try & train her that the doorbell(or knock) is a good thing by giving treats as a lot of puppy’s get scared by the door xx
Aww Lottie is so cute! I recently got a Maltipoo puppy she is now 5 months old! Cheeky plug I blogged us picking he up, but the biggest tip I would give is 1) to have lots of chew sticks and chew toys on hand for when they get into the chewing phase and 2) TAKE LOADS OF PHOTOTS they don’t stay puppies for very long 😭💗
I just got a chocolate Cockerpoo this summer, he’s called fudge. He’s about 7 months old atm. Training him has been easy enough, just start early with the commands such as sitting and when you call their name and they respond make sure you reward that too. It makes them more responsive as they get older ☺️. Fudge loves duck toys, honestly he goes crazy for them. They have problematic ears at times so maybe get her used to ear massages ☺️✨. I hope she settles super well, so cute!
Crates are so beneficial for pups, as it creates a safe haven for them, not only their bed but somewhere for them to feel safe and comfortable when you're out of the house !!! Keep up with the crate training and she will love it like her own little house
Omg Lottie is the cutiest and funniest puppy I’ve ever seen, I have three dogs and the best advice I could give is to give her tough love to start with so she learns and once she has had all her jabs and can go out take her out and socialise her with other dogs constantly so you can enjoy going to the park with her or it will become a nightmare xx
I have two cocker spaniels! They are the cutest pups ever, but yours is also crazy adorable!! Make sure you cuddle them as much as possible as the more you snuggle them as puppies the more they want to cuddle you as adults xx
My dad has a 2 year old golden cockapoo and the other day got an 8 week old chocolate cockapoo, and they are honestly the most beautiful, loving caring dogs! They are absolutely mental however and are into everything & like to whine, but they are the most friendly things!
Also, if Lottie cries when she goes in her crate adding a hot water bottle helps because they are used to sleeping on top of each other/the heat xxx we did this and our puppy never cried 💗🐶🐶
I did an art foundation a few years ago at Manchester School of Art. Once the induction weeks are over and you've chosen your preferred subject it gets sooo much better!
She’s adorable! When she goes to the toilet on the puppy pads or outside give her loads of treats and attention and she’ll eventually get the idea! Good luck with her!
congratulations! we have a Cavachon and you will learn very quickly that they are the most excitable loving dogs but they do wear themselves out pretty quickly!!
My dad just got a beagle puppy and he uses a crate for training purposes etc. Puppies sleep a lot, Eddie will run around for an hour, hour and a half and then sleep for 3. It's just a puppy thing, enjoy it when they are asleep because you have to stay with them mostly when they are awake 😂She'll soon settle and get into a routine, I hope she is a great addition to your family! She is so cute! 💞
Omg Lottie is adorable!! Legit couldn’t stop smiling especially when she was dragging the camera haha! Also I’m from and support Liverpool, Tom supports a great team 😂😂
Lottie is so cute 😍 I have 4 Cockapoos, Bailey, Hatty and Skye who are 5 and Dexter who is 2! Your doing the right thing with crate training, my guys all love there crates, although they don’t have them in the house anymore, they do use them when travelling and when I take them on holiday. There crates are there safe place, which they love to escape to if they are unsure about there surroundings. 🐾
Ive got an apricot cockapoo and he’s legit my best friend, I love him to pieces 😍 that running around mental in the evening is called a Doodle Dash, our dog always does it around 7-8pm, now he does it because he knows it’s time for a walk but when he was a puppy he did it for no reason 😂 cockapoos are full of energy at all times, almost too smart for their own good but absolute gems. When we trained Oakley, we had to figure out what he was motivated by (could be toys, food, affection) and use that to teach him. Our cockapoo chewed and broke all his toys for a long time, so we bought him deer antlers from pet shops to chew, and didn’t buy him too many toys from shops bc they were so expensive, but got him ones from charity shops that we were happy for him to ruin. The weeing on the rug thing could be because it’s a bit similar to grass, happened to my Aunty’s when they were toilet training her. Hope this all helps, I know you’ll love having a dog!
My cockapoo had his mat next to the door so that he associated going to the toilet with the outside - it made potty training a lot easier!! He also loves dentastix chews, and squeaky toys! He’s nearly three now and a few weeks ago he got his collar tangled in his crate wires and we had to get rid of the crate, he now has an open bed and loves it just as much, so just be aware that she may outgrow her crate!! My cockapoo also used to be completely obsessed with kitchen paper - it was so funny!! Lottie is so cute and she reminds me so much of what my dog used to be like! Xx
I have a Schnoodle, we trained him to ring a bell on the back door when he needs to go out for a wee! He picked it up so quickly, it means when ur in a different room u can still hear him wanted to go out so there’s no mess! Ur puppy is so cute! 💕
Ahhh! So exciting! The only thing I have to really advise you about is to please get her desexed. I volunteer for a rescue and we really urge everyone to desex their animals no matter what size. Getting her desexed young means she will be immediately dismissed from getting any diseases or harmful illnesses that could harm her in her later life. Have the best time with her, a new puppy is just the best thing everrrr! also very jealous hahaha xxx
It sounds a bit crazy but I have an 11 week old Labrador who is now toilet trained. We put a puppy pad and a dog bell that hangs from the door handle. Whenever Arnie went in the house we would pick him up and put him on the pad and also knock the bell. Also whenever he went outside we would knock it too. He quickly associated the bell with outside and also going to the toilet. The bells are around £10 from Amazon hope this helps 😊
Been here since you were in year 10 and now you're hitting 100K! Keep going, I'm so happy for you!! And Lottie (Lotty?) is GORGEOUS 💛 Just think of those doggy cuddles at the end of the week to get you through uni!xxx
Hi Molly, it took us a good few weeks to train our dog to wee and poo outside, but all i can see is, appraise her when needed with treats and if she wee's/poo's inside she has got to know this is not where she does it!! Puppy's will learn everything when they are young, so keep teaching her whilst she is still a puppy. make sure she know's who is boss!
ahh when you picked up the pink pig so many memories flooded back to when I was 10 (8 years ago). We got my dog from a rescue centre and she came with the pink pig and was OBSESSED with it!!!
I have a cockapoo and he absolutely loves ‘Kong’ toys! They’re very intelligent dogs because of the Cocker Spaniel in them and these toys allow them to get treats out of a ball once they figure out they have to roll it along the floor! Lottie is a little beaut 😍
Crate training is great and it gives them their own space- put in a blanket from her Mum if you have one- and a tshirt of your Mum or dads, it really helps her get used to everything! Also a ticking clock wrapped in the blanket will remind her of her mums heartbeat :)
I’ve got a Labrador and she loved frozen carrots, which really helps with teething and I also recommend liki mat/KONG that you can fill with peanut butter/banana or whatever you want and that will keep her entertained when you go out and leave her at home
I have a cockapoo and she was 1 in August. Cockapoos are known for separation anxiety so we never put our dog in a locked cage but that’s just us lol. Cockapoo are so incredibly loving though and they are so clever.
Ahh Molly this is so exciting! I have a cockapoo too and they are the cutest! They also stay so excitable- my one is 8 and still runs around like he is a puppy!
Omg the puppy is so cute💗btw a tip I’ve got a dog had her for 11 years😂If she cry’s during the night u have to leave her cuz otherwise she will just keep doing it😂Also If she’s not settling during the night you could put a little clock in the cage with her (that reminds them of their mums hear beat) it really helps them❤️❤️
My puppy’s five months old now, but every time she goes to the door, she’s telling you she needs out to pee, just let her out in your back garden until she gets her 2nd jab. But invest in loads of toys and chews for her. Puppy’s love tugger toys and tennis balls. The only thing that’s controversial is like crate training my dog never settled in one so we got rid of it but if he makes a mess on the floor it’s life and you just got to clean it but puppy’s get this weird skin allergy to grass when they’re younger but it goes away x
She's so adorable. I used raw carrot chunks instead of dog chews for my puppy. I think it's better for them. Nature's Miracle is great for eliminating odors, etc. from dog pee and poo. It gets rid of the bio substance instead of covering it up. Take her to the vet as soon as possible to finish any shots and also to get a complete checkup . Vets also have lots of good advice for new puppy owners. Good luck!
I went back on your channel and refreshed after watching this vlog and it had gone up by like 100 subscribers in a matter of 20 minutes!! Big up Molly with the youtube growth 🤙🏻🤙🏻
SO CUTE AHHHH the videos with her wanting the camera awe ! I have just watched your room tour, weekly uni vlog and this one in succession I am so loving watching this! I am going to uni next year and I'm excited- I hope you settle into uni, I'm sure everyone will love/already loves you x
I bought a red cockapoo two months ago and they are so cute but I'm not gonna lie to you the first month and a bit they wee everywhere! But as soon as they go outside you give them treats and to stop them crying out a blanket over there cage xxx
Nope, I’m an experienced dog owner and trainer. Puppies need to be taken outdoors every 1hour at least. As often as you possibly can is a good guide line :)
I think you can do your course, you can do anything when you put your mind to it, however if you're not enjoying it, it's not too late to change! I swapped my course in my second week and I was so happy I did! It's so much easier to put all your effort into something you love
I have a 6 month old cockapoo and would totally stress to stick with training! It can be easy when they’re so cute to let it slide but cockapoos are super smart and Lottie will work out really quickly when she can get away with things! It’s hard work but so rewarding, looking forward to seeing her become a part of your fam ❤️
hey I’m 2 years late lol but I’ve just had a cockapoo and he’s 8 weeks. He was fine for the first few days and had most wees and poos outside but now he is doing quite a few inside, what do you recommend we should do? As well as that we kept him on the landing in his crate for the first few nights and have now tried to keep him in the kitchen in his crate but he cries without reassurance but we can’t keep going back to him because he’ll learn that the whining gets our attention. What do you recommend?? no worries if not!! :) Xx
@@i.randle4025 Hey! So exciting you have a puppy, aren’t they the cutest ☺️ I’m no expert so I can only go off what I’ve learnt ... but for the toilet training I would recommend going right back to the initial training. Letting them out alot, picking them up and putting them outside if you think they’re looking to do their business, and loads of treats and praise when they do it outside. It sounds like they know what they are supposed to do but are being a little lazy 😆 and stick with the crate training! We had a few weeks before the whining stopped, but try to make it a nice place for them, and if you do go to see them in the night, make it just to take them outside and give no cuddles or playtime (like people say to do with babies). I know it’s horrible to hear them whining but you know it’s a safe place for them so try not to give in or like you say he’ll carry on as it gets your attention. Persistence is something I definitely learnt with our cockapoo, that and they don’t seem to ever grow out of the puppy phase haha! Hope that helps a little, good luck! X
@@kelseylou-22 hey! omg thank you so so much, I really appreciate it!! Yes we have to keep reminding ourselves it’s all about patience and he will eventually learn, not to jinx it but we have sort of made a spot in the garden a place associated with having a poo and wee an whenever we take him there now he has done them today! With the crate, obviously him being a puppy he has a lot of energy and staying at home until his vaccination means he can’t let his energy all out and is much more hyper than he would be when he’s going out on walks in the day! So that will defo be better at night when he is more tired! We have kept him in his crate, he has usually pooped and weed before and sleep and may whine after an hour but we simply say “shush” a few times to reassure we’re there and he’s fine. Like you said, patience and persistence is key, thank you so much for helping!! xx🥰
omg babe so happy for you !! I watched your weekly vlog and I really really felt for you- I think this is just what you needed ♥️ I really hope your next week will be better xx
My one tip for training a puppy is ignore them if they do something naughty but praise them loads and give them loads of treats when they are good/do what you tell them to. Also, we crate trained our dog too and if you put a blanket or towel over the crate, it gives them a safe, private place to sleep
Ooohhh I forgot to mention! There’s a cockapoo owners club on Facebook please get someone from your family to join it because it’s the most supportive place to get advice and to share cute pictures! You should so join it’s been a lifesaver with ours!xx
I haven’t got a cockapoo but I do have a 8 month old Shih Tzu who we got from 8 weeks old. Some training tips that we have used is standing up, turning your back and folding your arms if they start nibbling/biting even if it is play. You must not make any contant or pay any attention to them. Also making them sit and wait before placing their food down will help reduce food aggression as they will try to snatch the bowl from you as they grow bigger. The same should be done with treats. Making them sit, lie down etc before giving it to them should stop them jumping up and snatching it from you x
Ohhh she's so cute😆 my grandad has a brown cockerpoo called Lottie. They're such lovely dogs. I'm off to uni on Saturday and then the next weekend were getting our puppy and my heart is going to melt so much.
This is so cute omg! Hope that uni goes better this week, I know what change is like as I started a completely new sixth form but it gets better. Wish you still daily vlogged :( x
Also my grandparents have a cockerpoo, one thing we’ve found with her is she needs hard wearing toys because otherwise she rips them to shreds in seconds as they have really strong teeth! Xx
Oh my goodness!!! So so sweet! I have a Bichon Frise who is 9 (v. similar to Lotte but white!) and it makes me really want another puppy! she’s so energetic haha!
i know all dogs aren't the same but i recently got a puppy and I noticed when i first got her she wouldn't chew hard toys and preferred the softer ones though she is now warming to them
Aww can’t believe you got a puppy! I’ve also got a cockapoo and he’s now 2, they’re such a friendly breed congratulations! Good luck for the rest of uni too x
Awwww shes so gorgeous! We have a cockapoo, shes 5 now :) They are amazing dogs, who randomly all seem to love pinching socks and also, get used to the crazy hour every evening when shes puppy :) They are such lovely dogs, would never have any other breed now, they are they best :) x
I would defiantly recommend with cockapoos to make sure you groom regularly as they matt so easily not so much as a puppy, but it’s good to get them used to the process of being groomed while young. Also I work in a groomers and when ever we have a very matted cockapoo we usually have to clip them off not because it’s easier for us but better for the dog as trying to brush out matts is very uncomfortable for them. It’s a good idea to take her for a puppy groom in a few months so she can get used to going to the groomers. Another thing with grooming as well is to bath them regularly while young to get them used to it as well as the hair dryer, I did this with my cockapoo puppy’s and there a dream to bath and dry now where as when they were young they were a nightmare!
OMG that puppy is sooooo cute! I found it hard to crate train my dog but he was okay after a wile, I'm a Liverpool supporter and my fiance got my 2 year old daughter kit last week I'm sure she will be one like her mummy and daddy and grandma. Loved this vlog :) xx
Congratulations!! We got our puppy about 3 weeks ago and she’s a dream, she’s a bullweiler so very different from Lottie but the best advice I can give you is just be patient. My puppy hated me for the first two weeks and I just kept at it and now we’re best friends haha x
I got a cocker spaniel about four weeks ago. I think the nights takes a while to overcome but try maybe putting a ticking clock in with her or someone’s jumper so she has the scent of one of you with her in her crate.
when i did my foundation they made us do everything A1 so that it can go in our portfolio for uni interviews! i feel your pain i hate working at that large of a scale! also dont worry the initial workshops trying different media doesnt last long and you soon get to settle into doing exactly what you want to do:) xx
Crate training is actually real great! My dog is now 1 and his crate is now somewhere he's really happy to go - it's not just good for sleeping, it gives them a safe comfortable space that they know is just their own :)

Katy Sexton I have a cockapoo too!
HeyitsVienna they’re amazing aren’t they?! Molly is so lucky to have a puppy, I’d adore another one but my parents said no 😥
I really want to get one but how big do they grow length and height wise when they become adults?
Sabrina S they’re not huge honestly, if you go for a miniature poodle crossed with a working cocker spaniel it will be pretty average sized I can’t tell you exact measurements but I’m like 5”6 and my 5 year old cockapoo only comes up to below my knee?

Oh my gosh she is the cutest funniest puppy ever - I’ve heard that cockapoo puppies are really energetic and now I can see that!!
Glad to see you a lot happier now Molly!
Been here since you were in year 10 and now you're hitting 100K! Keep going, I'm so happy for you!! And Lottie (Lotty?) is GORGEOUS 💛 Just think of those doggy cuddles at the end of the week to get you through uni!xxx
Aw my heart - so cute!!! Loved this Molly x
instablaster
Wow I was not expecting this !
I wasn't either
I was... i read the title
She is absolutely ADORABLE!!!!
Awh I wish you got Lottie last year so we can see her on your weekly vlogs all the time she’s so precious I’m already attached💞💞
Good luck!
I could legit cry she’s so cute!!!!
She looks so happy in her new home 😍
I bought a red cockapoo two months ago and they are so cute but I'm not gonna lie to you the first month and a bit they wee everywhere! But as soon as they go outside you give them treats and to stop them crying out a blanket over there cage xxx
Nooo way I also have a golden cockapoo called Lottie, she is now 4 years old! They are the cutest little doggies, so excited for you😊😊 xxx
For puppy training you literally need to take her outside every 20 mins for a wee and then reward her when she does it
12missmolly every 20 minutes? Huh lol no thats crazy
Thanks for the advice because I'm getting one soon 😊😊😊
12missmolly nah not every 20 mins that’s really absurd. I would say every 2-3 hours is more realistic.
Nope, I’m an experienced dog owner and trainer. Puppies need to be taken outdoors every 1hour at least. As often as you possibly can is a good guide line :)
As puppies have very small bladders that they find hard to control
Your and Harry’s relationship is so adorable
I think you can do your course, you can do anything when you put your mind to it, however if you're not enjoying it, it's not too late to change! I swapped my course in my second week and I was so happy I did! It's so much easier to put all your effort into something you love
With cockapoos they are really smart so you can teach the cool tricks my cockapoo loves to give hugs
Wow!!! I have an apricot cockapoo and they are the most loving & playful dogs ever!! X
Oh my. Lottie is the cutest little pup😍❤
My one tip for training a puppy is ignore them if they do something naughty but praise them loads and give them loads of treats when they are good/do what you tell them to. Also, we crate trained our dog too and if you put a blanket or towel over the crate, it gives them a safe, private place to sleep
She’s so cute. Hope uni gets better for you
Ooohhh I forgot to mention!
Never clicked so fast! Lottie is the cutest, can't wait for more videos with her 😁
I need a Lottie in my life. No wonder you couldn't wait to get home!
omg Lottie is literally the cutest lil puppy ever!! i loved the vlog
Also my grandparents have a cockerpoo, one thing we’ve found with her is she needs hard wearing toys because otherwise she rips them to shreds in seconds as they have really strong teeth! Xx
I’m here cuz I’m watching buncha cockapoo puppy vids cuz I’m getting a cockapoo puppy in 18 hours AHHHHHHHHHHH I CANT WAITTTTTTT
I have a cocker spaniel, he's just turned 10 and he's still obsessed with tissues and paper! He loves ripping them up!
Oh my goodness!!! So so sweet! I have a Bichon Frise who is 9 (v. similar to Lotte but white!) and it makes me really want another puppy! she’s so energetic haha!
Awh omg, I’m so excited to see more videos of her, she’s so adorable omg! I love you and your videos so much btw, you are such an inspiration to me! x
i know all dogs aren't the same but i recently got a puppy and I noticed when i first got her she wouldn't chew hard toys and preferred the softer ones though she is now warming to them
Aww can’t believe you got a puppy! I’ve also got a cockapoo and he’s now 2, they’re such a friendly breed congratulations! Good luck for the rest of uni too x
Really nice to see you happy back at home with yr family. Hope you have a good week. X
She’s adorable! 😍😍😍😍😫😫😫😫😫
I’m picking up my cockapoo puppy on the 20th of August!! (Under 4 days from now) I am so excited 😆
OH MY GOD, YOUR PUP IS SO CUTE!!! so so jealous of you omg, such a good excuse to come home from uni to!
Hey I have a cockapoo! She’s nearly 10 months now and we had her in January💞she’s so well behaved and dog friendly🐶xx
Awww her dive off the sofa 😭😭😭😍😍😍 she is so cute
Your cockerpoo is so cute! I have a cockerpoo too they are adorable.
She’s going to grow up so quick😭 i still call my dog a pup and he’s nearly 3 😂
Awww omg that dog is SO cute!
I knew you'd get a dog!
I knew you'd want a dog because you love Tom's dog x
AHHH MOLLY AHHH THIS IS MY FAVOURITE VLOG EVER!!! Your puppy is adorable!!! 💗
