As an experienced crocheter, I would cut the white thread so much shorter and only carry it under 5 or 6 stitches. Otherwise a ridge forms over one third of the kippah where the colors join.
I see you have sore hands. Go to the pharmacy and ask them for Terbinafine (its a foot cream and cheap). take a small drop and rub it anywhere on your arm, just a small area and leave it for 48 hours. Worked for me. i got some sort of skin allergy from swimming in the sea when i first went to Israel. I had it for 20 years and nothing would clear it up until i tried terbinafine. Go check it out
