    Hello Cindy. We were suddenly forced to try to learn french in the early seventies when I was at secondary school. I should have listened, but in fairness, it was very dry and not explained particularly well - I was caned regularly for not doing my homework. Thanks for a great channel. Progressing veryyyyy slowlyyyyy but surely.

      Argh, I'm so glad I didn't have to go to school when corporal punishment was a thing! How they thought kids could learn through fear is beyond me... I believe anyone learns best if they actually want to learn and if they're in a happy and safe environment. Plus making mistakes is actually a powerful learning tool, so no-one should ever be punished or ridiculed for making them. I'm glad you're making progress thanks to my channel, and I promise, I won't shout at you if you ask questions or make mistakes! lol.

      You were caned!?!?!? What kind of school was that? Catholic?

      @@armoricain : In spite of his screen name, he might be from Singapore. They are very strict there and a few years ago a young American was caned for vandalizing cars. No amount of handwringing from the U.S. could prevent his sentence from being carried out. That's when our American arrogance is sometimes tested and not allowed in another country. Never poke a bear and expect him to turn out to be a teddy bear instead.

    It would be nice to see words written phonetically as well as pronounced more slowly. For instance, how exactly are you pronouncing the word 'vraiment'? Vreh-haq-mon? Thank you.

    • @armoricain
      @armoricain 7 років тому

      Why the "haq" part? It's just "Vrehmahng" without pronouncing the "g", except if you are from the South of France.

    Hello it is great channal...but i wish if you explain the sentence ( which verb ..word ..article) not only to say the translation in total...we need to know how to make sentences not just to memorise ready made sentences ...merci pour votre +effort :)

    bonjour et merci beaucoup. svp @ 2:52 pour quoi pas ''je ne t'ai pas vu'' en lieu de ''je ne t'avais pas vu'' ?

    • @Frencheezi
      @Frencheezi  4 роки тому +1

      Je ne t'ai pas vu = I haven't seen you / I didn't see you.
      Je ne t'avais pas vu = I hadn't seen you.
      Hope that helps :)

      @@Frencheezi merci beaucoup 🙏 mais isn't it correct to say "sorry for earlier, (when I didn't say hi because) I didn't see you (then)?" I mean☺️
