@@someyetiwithinternetaccess1253 hey, you might be on to something there, however, if it's happening to you irl i guess there's no reason to read about s similar situation on a fiction story, idk, i dropped it because it got repetitive, but it's still like a 8,5/10 reaf
Because it’s too formulaic, it’s like we are reading the same story every arc non stop with different characters and a lot of conversations felt contrived and forced. How ever out of hundreds of comics this one is the closest to a cliche shonen, so it’s easy to digest for many that’s why you have ppl like you enjoying, it’s basically a bigmac comic
@@isaac15752 sure if that's what you wanna think bud. I'm sorry that your uniqueness is too much of a burden for you to grace this lowly manwha with your time and attention, go re-read solo leveling because it's the most unique thing birthed by man worthy of an S, I bow before you for standing out from the masses with yo anime pfp and passive aggressive comments. 🙇 I feel like we didn't even read the same comic. The character development, relationships and journey alone are outstanding for manwha standards and makes it worth anyone's time. It is by all means at minimum an above average manwha but imo even a great one up there with the A's, it's definitely not an S tier tho. Plus it's all fucking reincarnated or isekaid or I read a novel now I'm in it bullshit, at least this one can stand on its feet without relying on some fucking cheat system blessed me with isekai bs.
I really agree with a lot of these, but I'd personally put Suicide Hunter on the "Lot of Potential" tier. The arcs that were shown so far were phenomenal, especially the one with the dolls and the latest murim arc, and the art-style is also one of the absolute best for me. The side characters are also very interesting to me, and that's very rare in manhwa. But yeah good vid!
yea especially if you read ahead in the light novel the story is just amazing is all i can say without giving spoilers, i thought that it was so good that i couldnt help waiting for the next chapters in the manhwa so i read up to whats released in the ln although the ln translation isnt perfect as the main guy who translated it has english as a second language its still a good read
idk, i don't really like SSS Suicide since it feels like they're trying to push good morals and lessons onto the protagonist without any actual substance
Your in for a treat on the next arc i wont spoil anything but its was the best for me when i read the web novel. The concept for me for that arc was really unique.

Murim login belongs in a lot of potential category, it has great art style amazing combat and hilarious comedy. It also is very unique setting as the mc can access both the murim world and a hunter/dungeon world. Leaving a lot to explore
Suicide Hunter is crazy good fun. It tackles reincarnation + time travel in a way I've seen no other narrative do. The novel was absolutely worth reading as well, I'm not gonna lie, felt like reading a fanfic or something. And I mean that in the absolutely best way, creativity is off the charts with this one. Each arc does something different. I think the beginning makes it seem like the story will turn out to be generic, but then things get crazy. Highly recommend.
@@zeusx6479 your life is shit tier then lol. it explain too many unnecessary stuff that's not even important. story is just dragging and it's not even that good.
SSS-class suicide hunter so far is an S-tier hands down. Top-notch story, the main character has a definite identity and knows what he wants, trustworthy, he is fearless. The concept of clearing towers and getting different skills is quite generic but the worlds the author introduced, the requirements to clear the floors, how the characters clear the floor and control everything are simply super well executed . So many chapters are absolutely tear-jerkers. It's a masterpiece so far
@Prabhjot Singh _ The fact that the intention and emotions of the characters are well portrayed, especially the last few chapters makes the art really good
From reading the Second coming of gluttony light novel it is sad that you ranked it so low, but thinking back to the beginning of the book I actually have to agree with you. After the initial arc where he goes through the training thing, it gets so much better that it's honestly like a totally different story. Thinking back I remember almost dropping it because the beginning was soooo bad. I hope you still read it if it continues to get published & gets a lot better as the book did.
Nah man nothing to be sad about, he's ranking the manwha not the novel. The Manwha is fucking awful, it does most things right... except for the tiny little fact that IT FUCKING SKIPS EVERYTHING. Absolutely all characters and character relationships are completely butchered because the interactions and any implications of background interactions get cut down so much, the story isn't exciting because stuff isn't set up well enough, it keeps omitting important details (it never mentions that time moves slower in the other world, yet fucking assumes the reader knows it), and some sections of the story are INCREDIBLY jarring because it just suddenly skips entire chapters (the transition from neutral zone to Haramark is unbelievably disorienting). It gives you zero reason to give a shit about anything because it cuts out absolutely all of the nuanced writing that makes you care. The manwha is so unbelievably watered down that it turns into the most pointless generic korean action fantasy series ever. Even as a big fan of the novel I couldn't help but be bored reading the manwha.
Finally someone actually giving recognition for Leviathan! In my oponion the best manhwa the art and story is so beautiful and it is such a good hidden gem. Even if i would put it in S tier no doubt i love to see it in A tier
Tales of Demons of Gods does not waste time it builds a story that connects the reader with each character, the story is amazing, the characters are well built, the plot is interesting and immersive, and the world takes you out of earth and into its own universe. Deservers S without doubt.
Doesn't waste time? they release chapters once every solar eclipse and the chapters are like 2 and a half panels long. Its the kind of manhwa you let marinate for a year and then read from beginning again
If you ask any fan of TSCOG they'd likely put the mawha in "hurt my soul". I started with the comic too and it barely left an impression on me, I read like a season and half of it before jumping into the novel and my eyes were forever opened to what a travesty the adaptation is. Read the novel, it's really cool.
Would strongly recommend Red Storm if you haven't read it. It has a very unique setting, an interesting premise, amazing fights, top-tier character growth, and 380 chapters. (the art is pretty bad in the first 20 chapters, but it looks amazing when it switches to black and white)
@@susmitasubedi7179 How weak he is??? Lol. He's not 1 of the top fighters, but he is definitely strong. Read some more chapters, if you really don't like it after maybe a dozen or so more chapters then maybe it would be better to drop it then.
There is one tiny manhwa, like only 21 chapters long, called "The Horizon". It's so short however, after I finished reading it, I am adamant that it is, not only one of the darkest stories, but also the best in general when it comes to storytelling (in my opinion). You can easily finish it in one sitting and it's such a beautiful, in a weird way, story that I highly recommend.
If you haven’t read it I recommend the survival story of the sword king in the other world. I’m just in love with the art, it’s one of my favorite series’s and will definitely place a or s tier.
*Reform of Deadbeat Noble* is solid B-A to me the novel is pretty thorough in the training advancement elements and it got some very unique stuff within it
For the worldbuilding, the characters and the storyline, i can't see tower of god lower than S rank. The artstyle at the beginning is quite bad but the story is incredible and as it goes on, siu really improved the drawing part and now we have amazing panels. I you like stories like one piece for exemple and you are nont afraid to begin a real journey go for it you will not be disappointed.
I can’t disagree, i do think the pacing is pretty weak sometimes and there are some pretty painful arcs, but its as close as we have to the sheer scale and world building of one o Piece. Its probably S tier for a lot of people!
Imo bam is literally the single most insufferable protagonist i've ever had the displeasure of reading about after Kazuya from rent a girlfriend (do not waste your time reading that, by the way). Literally every single problem that happens in the second part is either Bam fucking something up because he's stupid, or Bam failing to solve something correctly because he's stupid. Bam was also incredibly stupid in part 1, but that was justifiable because he was practically a newborn (having never entered proper society). Part 2 however happens after a hefty timeskip, so that excuse no longer works. And he's seemingly not stupid because that's part of the characterization, but just because the author isn't capable of writing believable conflicts with a protagonist as strong as Bam is in part 2, so the only way conflict could possibly happen is if Bam acts like an idiot and doesn't use his strength correctly. I genuinely do not think there was a single conflict that happened in that entire part where I didn't scream at the scream over Bam not doing something he should very easily be able to do to resolve a major part of the conflict. The side characters of part 2 are also really weak, partially because they're significantly weaker than Bam and thus aren't really allowed to have any agency and only really exist as a failsafe for Bam's fuckups. Also partially because they're just not as interesting, particularly the sisters. Part 1 was pretty great, but flawed, while part 2 was pretty horrible save for the world designs. I tried to read part 3 but it immediately opens with Bam being a complete moron again so I wasn't able to.
Return of the mt. Hua sect should be in S or a lot of potential tbh. I have read ahead like I'm around 400 chaps in the ln and it's such an amazing story where every character feels like my own child and i feel so proud seeing them grow like one of my fav
Finally someone explaining the great that is wind breaker, even that is not a perfect story pace, It has one of the best freshy characters, ambience, drama and art. With one bullet point, It can make you have so many emotions, the face expressions are amazing, how describes all the feelings of the trama and the character's thoughts. You can feel the heavyness that the protagonist are passing through and all his emotions. It is just a gem of a manhwa and one of the best out there for sure
Is the romance get better ? I think I kinda drop it because of that (will pick it up later). The two girls or the romance with the mc felt so force imo.
@@psych073 I dont think the romance was forced, maybe shelly at the beginning was a forced romance card, tbh, I kinda hate her at the beginning, but she has an evolution you know. And yes, the romance get better and better, to make an example without spoiling, the mc has a romance with one girl pretty much at the end of the series at the moment, and its so joyfull to watch because you knew all the circumstances that they passed through together and still, it is not the best romance pair of the show, there will be a lot of amazing couples that yoh will witness if you want to continue the series, even if a priori does not seem that they will work together, it certainly does some way, idk I love how handles the manhwa romance, It seems real you know, not like other manhwas or mangas where the mc and the waifu knows and exchange short words and boom, they married, It actually get deeper on the drama and the "being together in the worst moments" thing. 9 out of 10 as a serie to me and also so recommended, if you want any other recommendation you can tell me so xd
this is show how people likes different things. i would put "Academy’s Undercover Professor, Return of The Unrivaled Spear Knight, Barbarian Quest, trash of the count's family, overgeared and i obtained a mythic item to "A+" Tier. this manhwas art are amazing, especially to BQ. you would not get bored and will binge to read every chapter. and i will add "Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God and Swordmaster Youngest Son to "Lot of Potential" Tier. and "SSS Class Hunter" arc definitely "S+" Tier. the MC character development is top-notch, the side character are also well written and every arc are phenomenal.
Second Coming Of Gluttony is one of the Legendary korean webnovel ever.... This is a redemption story, and holy cow, it's really good. The Harem Part is just a fan service, the main attraction is the MC Story, how he live then and now, how he make a decision, how people around him behave. The Manhwa just can't catch those emotional moment, it become so lighthearted generic fantasy manhwa
i agree, i also have SCoG in my top 3. it pains me that most tier list makers haven't read the novel, honestly. also yeah the manhwa is a disappointment.
Idk about the novel but in the manhwa after the 2nd season it became trash. The art changed, mc's personality changed it felt like it became a completely different manhwa. So many time skips that i couldn't catch up with the story.
I would put her summon to s rank, redemption story like mushoku and her summon is really my taste, it's one of the few tropes or genre (idk what it's called) that make me feel emotional.
Barbarian quest for me is s rank, amaazing art work and it's fun to watch the main character develope himself as he goes through different things humans have discovered/believed, it's also fun to watch people fight.
Absolutely agree with return of the crazy demon. Undefeatable swordman starts off amazing. I would say the start is one of my top 3 favorite starts to a manhwa/manhua. Unfortunately it doesn't continue as good but I still think it's B tier Volcanic age lost my interest after the fight against the monk with the coffin. When it came out there wasn't anything like it so it was a lot better but at the moment it's a C Leviathan is amazing! Top 10 in the manhwa category. Wish they animated it Return of the blossoming blade is S tier. I find the balance of humor, Passion, wisdom so well done. Also really appealing art. It's not crazy but it's comforting Tales of demons and gods is pretty good. It has so much detail that you can almost make a game out of it. The latest chapters seem shorter though. Maybe it's just me. Legend of the northern blade is truly S tier. I agree the story isn't going to wow you but it's so we'll done. Nano machine is probably the best system manhua that takes itself seriously. Greta art and just the right balance of system and cultivation. Wouldn't call it S tier though Lighting degree is good. The latest arc is dragging but I still enjoy it. C tier is pretty fair Her summon is in my A rank. I left at around chapter 100 and found out it finished shortly after which is why I can't promote it. Don't know how they could have wrapped up a satisfying ending like that. I thought that series was going to go on for 250-300 chapters
You should try Azure Legacy. It's unique in the cultivation manhua scene imo. Yes, it's a generic cultivation manhua, but without the annoying elements that every other cultivation manhua has such as "courting death", "you dare?" and characters such as "evil elder" who wishes the worst for his family. It's pretty chill and so far entertaining. The only downside I've found is that there's no good translation so it might be getting flamed for it.
Tbate has about 40-50 chapters that are painful to read (light novel) , as he said, though there are pretty good parts in-between, there's a lot of boring parts as well. But the more recent chapters are absolutely outstanding, after the boring id say chapter 60 to chapter 110 it gets amazing, it was hard for me to stop reading because I just wanted to know what happened next, and not all of the training arcs are bad either. Which is evident later into the light novel.
Eleceed is amazing, the best weekly release/ most exciting for sure. It has everything, visuals, story, humor, real fun and amazing. S Rank for sure highly recommended real good since chap 1! It's incredible, the manhua of the fatty cat hahaha
Glad you put the breaker series in there as S rank couldnt agree more! I waited years for the 3rd arc to start up and so hyped to see where it goes. not sure if both of them are back but it is good so far. also I am gonna recommend a manga for everyone to read and I know its not manhwa but it is still on par with the breaker, Gamaran is a must read for any action/sword fighting fanatic.
Ohmygod you put my skeleton boy in c rank. The story are so crazy that it's actually good and it have lore behind it. And the new chapter never disappoint it's aways work toward main story
It has several interesting ways to improve himself and the timeframe can either go back as Re:Zero or be changed by certains objects. Great read! Whould personnally go with a solid A!
wow all your S list are actually my favorites and currently always waiting for new chapters, and yes FengShen Ji is the GOAT for completed manhwa, even better than solo leveling just for the end.
Cant agree more with the TBATE take, as a former patreon subscriber for the light-novel, its has such a good storyline, and almost perfect world building. Its the first series that i was actively engaged in with the community. But the manhwa adaptation really isnt doing it for me. I dont want to say the art style suck but its definetly subpar and that alone just ruins the whole experience. But i can see that its getting better. The story really picks up after the school arc with is the 4th volume about 60 chapters of the pight novel. Definetly recommend reading the light novel. Thank you all for coming to my TED talk.
I definitely enjoyed reading the web novel a lot I have good memories pulling an all nighter at my friends house reading it. It was one of my first manhwa but when I returned to it the poor art turned me off. Still have not finished it tho.
@@somefatrussian it definitely is an incredible read. Whenever you have time, go ahead and jump right back into the novel, there is a lot of gold still to uncovered.
you haven't read Second Life Ranker? I highly recommend it, seeing how similar our tastes are based on this list, and I guarantee that will be somewhere on that of a lot of potential if not S tier based on the light novel as well... If I would have to recommend some other titles that I might have missed their names or you haven't read yet, I would say: Return to Player, The Challenger, The Last Human, unOrdinary(it's a webtoon)
Unfortunately the art in second life ranker is pretty bad. The action paneling and weight of the characters' movements and attacks are frankly horrendous, and the coloring can be really offputting.
I actually agree with many of those and glad to see justice for my all time favorite "chronicles of the heavenly demon" though it's definitely S tier for me
can relate. I absolutely the idea of kids getting raised learn martial arts together at like a temple or underground. That's why I liked reaper of drifting moon but the time skip came way too early for me. I also like revenge manhwas and chronicles of heavenly demon did it for me.

My only two major criticisms with this are how low SSS-Class Suicide Hunter is and how high Solo Leveling is. Suicide Hunter (especially the novel but even what we have of the manhwa) is one of the most engaging, tightly plotted stories of its kind on the market, whereas in my opinion Solo Leveling is actually pretty mid in terms of everything but the art, which is admittedly amazing and makes it worth reading in its own right.
@@fbisama5109 SAO was one of the ips that popularized anime in the us. That doesn't make it good. The fact is that solo leveling may look fantastic, but the character writing- in my opinion the most important part of a story- was incredibly weak, and a lot of the plotting wasn't exactly tight
@@worthlesshuman5041 Exactly. Solo leveling was popular because it was perfect for people who haven't read any Manhwa before, it's the perfect entry point. It's exactly like SAO in that regard too.
@@worthlesshuman5041 man sao really bring blight to the anime genres huh? Imagine manhwa actually bring something new/unique to the anime instead of another guy with video game powers? >Muh.. you just a hater for manhwa. Not a hater, just disappointed. Despite technological edge that webtoon have over manga, majority of its genre either power fantasy or romance. Comics have superheros, manga have scifi, shounen. What even manhwa bring new into the table?
@@tubawarlordwong9408 I think saying "manga has shounen" is a bit reductive in terms of analysis. Shounen, when you think about it, is just "comics targeted to young boys", which western comics had already been doing for years. Sure, shounen manga did innovate a ton of associated tropes, concepts, and plotlines to make it its own thing, but just because someone did something first doesn't mean they did it best. If innovation is what you're interested in, Korea was one of the first countries to adopt a webtoon format for non-indie comic productions, allowing for more frequent releases with more visually impressive art. Also, manhwa shounen and manga shounen, though similar in some ways, have vastly different tropes to the point where a person reading a manhwa or a manga can almost always tell the difference between the two. Manhwa also popularized a new type of protagonist- not the soft nice guy or the kirito edgelord, but a guy who's a complete and total jerk but may or may not have a heart of gold (a prime example of this is Chung Myung from return of the mount hua sect).
The start of suicide hunter was so bare-bones, so generic weak guy turns strong type shit that I thought it would be nothing but dumb fun, but holy fuck does the story and themes get deep with this one. I can't wait for the manhwa to start again
I agree with your comments on TBATE. The part where Arthur goes down in the cave and finds all the dead troops and the Lance felt so much darker in the novel and im sure many other parts will feel a lot less impactful
There are so many manhwas which he ranked wrong in my opinion and I was about to post a whole ass essay roasting him for his choices but then I realized that this video was posted a year ago when so many of them didn't have their recent arcs which are just amazing. Like Swordmaster's Youngest Son should be in A tier when it comes to the recent arcs and Return of the Mount Hua sect should just straight up be S-tier. It's just it. There is no other manhwa better than Return of Mt. Hua Sect when it comes to what it's doing. It's hard to describe why it's so good because it's the only one of its kind and as a novel reader, the later arcs as simply peak. Especially the 10000 men arc. That rage moment was peak
Damn unironically I love how my list would be so different from yours, I like this diversity of opinions. For example I love Luo ji, like you I can't find any real good point but I really wait the new chapter every week.
My top three manwhas are definitely: Return of Mount Hua Sect (a little bit underrated in my opinion, because a character like Chung Myung is nowhere to be seen…so f original), The Legend of the northern blade and The beginning after the end 😄
I know people like to talk about MC and artwork from Return of Mount Hua Sect but what I really like about the series is the paneling of the scenes (idk if it makes sense I have no idea what do you call that) that's one more thing I really like in this, The Legend of the Northern Blade and The World After The Fall
Hey I'm kinda late but I do have something to say about the tier list, so here are my opinions which I'm gonna update as I progress through your video (this is more of a comparison between the novel and the manhwa since I read novels more than manhwa) : The beginning after the end : I honestly don't know how far the manhwa has gotten, but in the future, there are many arcs that are just as painful if not more so if you like emotional moments in your story, you're gonna need to have another tier higher lol Overgeared : it's quite disappointing tbh, the story lose a lot of "motivation" (for lack of better words) when it's adapted into the manhwa. If you base this tier list just off of the manhwa then I can agree with the rank, but the novel was better. The manhwa jumps around obstacles too fast which makes you not feel anything when grid achieve something, which is not the case for the novel Second coming of gluttony : it truly hurts. I read first time a few years ago but can't get pass 3 chapter, tried again sometimes later but still can't get pass 5 chapter. Then I read the novel and holy cow the difference is too much. The manhwa completely butcher all of the characters. Seol isn't a cool, collected, op characters but a reckless, mischievous, and desperate. Hannah isn't supposed to be a comical character. She's a fox, she shouldn't lose control as easily as in manhwa. The story beat jumps around too many times and some character motivation is just doesn't make sense The story is way better in novel than in manhwa, sure it still has a little bit of harem tone in it, but It's not too prevalent since the harem parts are saved for the extra story
Feng Shen Ji numbah one BAYBEEEEEE. Also, the story might be "basic", but it's in a way a mythological tale might be straightforward. It feels so incredibly grand. I love it.
Chinese Manhuas stories and art are usually really bad, but there are a couple that are really good that I recommend you read. Villain Initialization, Greatest Spy in History, Lu Bu's Lifestory are just some. One good manhwa that doesn't get enough attention and is really good is Player (Oh Hyeon-Jun), the art is really good and the character development is great.
Magic emperor is the best manhwa I have ever read ! His scheme is so amazing. And the way he talk is truely a master. Unlike other manhwa just brawl but no brain. Who ever made this is a master of communication. It deserve more than A tier.
@@LokisturOfficial I also really like the series, cool to know thY you would put it higher on the list. Just question though, have you read lookism and what would you put it on this list? Ps: I know your probably not read this lol
Leviathan should definitely be S tier above all in my opinion. Everything is good about it. Unique plot, unique art-style, amazing colours, Interesting characters, peak character development, amazing pacing, good ending, again the art-style is absolutely peak, the gore is peak, good world building, main female lead is so nc,... Everything is good about it, EVERYTHING.
Respect for putting ORV up there! A fantastic series. And I’m also really interested to see where damn reincarnation goes with it’s story. ToG is still my favorite because of my investment in the story. I think there are some interesting stories coming out or have come recently in the 10-30 chapter range, that may be pretty good. So I hope you can do another one of these lists next year where more stories and chapters for these series come out.

I agree with a lot but I think you did a disservice to some. Suicide Hunter is A tier now with the potential to be S tier later. And for where I obtained a mythic item and swordmaster's youngest son are now I think they should be low B they have potential and haven't hit any sour notes yet. Tales of demons and gods is an A if you read a good translation. And if you can get past the art Skeleton that couldn't protect the dungeon's first season is pretty amazing.
OBJECTION! The great mage returns after 4000 years is actually pretty much S tier or at least "a lot of potential" tier. Since the world builded in a very solid way. The magic system is awesome. There are a good characters and a pretty good visual. There is no things that happen just... because reasons and all that stuff. Main characters are great, new characters are great, even the demigod are great. Fights are VERY well made. There is a lot of thoughts and good debates here. A lot of things happens - has its own story. Such as Master Beniang`s hardships about running the circle. Cos a lot of time I just cant believe that a girl in such condition could run a circle of that scale without any mental consequenses and hardships. But then author make a whole story about how she was actually almost in despair about the whole situation. Dramma in here are just so touching. Emotional thing here actually one of the best that I have ever read. Even better than in Feng Shen Ji. And the main character oh my god the main character. He is just awesome. On the paper he is just another very strong and skillfull dude with a lot of power in his stock but jesus christ how good he written. He always trying to do best and its not comes to him for nothing and not gain him an all-mighty power. He actually always struggle and have problems and barriers which he trying to overcome. Its so good. The world is awesome, characters are awesome, systems are awesome and the only issue that I have with this work of art - I want more. More chapters. So yeah. A tier is a clear underrating. So OBJECTION!
I'm trying to figure out the name of manhwa, the main character gets to go back in time to do things differently, a God shows up and tells him he has been chosen he says the only way he'll go is if he is given, don't remember specifically what though, he appears in a room full of people a system screen shows up that they were invited but only 3 A invitations, a few B, a few C, and also 1 Special invitation, S, A, and B would get a price, then shows up on screen and says that they have to survive and get out of that room, but there's a monster trying to get in, so nobody tries to open that door until it stops, then all of a sudden something breaks through the floor grabs a girl and some people try to help well the main character look around too see what everybody else is going to do then he tries to help but it's already too late, everyone else decides to run out the door because the monster was no longer on the other side of the door,
Surprised you don't have "Survival Story of A Sword King" in your list. Artstyle is phenomenal, storyline so far is great. A very unique take on "isekai" genre.
overall this list is appreciated to me but i do disagree on some B tier stuff deserving more while some A tiers are the opposite of that . the major one among B tier that i trully believe deserves more is Overgeared i am not kidding you when i tell you i've been reading the web novel *religiously* for over 4.5 years now! the Manhwa is so so far behind in content the best "golden age" part of Overgeared has yet to come to be adapted still and although i don't like somewhat the lessened focus on some major side characters in the last hundreds chapters but the story is still going strong enough to make me hyped and engaged even after all this time giving cliffhangers so frequently 👌🏼
Sorry but Solo Leveling can't be an S tier. Yeah it had amazing visuals it was easy to understand and all but S tier is not just about that, you can't tell me that you'll be able to reread Solo Leveling and tell me you enjoyed that. And don't get me wrong I like Solo Leveling it was my first manhwa but it only focus on the Jin-woo and some side characters are just left and forgotten and at some point he was just so strong that he didn't even struggle and when he struggled he just said "Arise" and created more soldiers. So Solo Leveling doesn't deserve S tier
I dont disagree honestly, i have to put it there because i think it is the best at what it does and in enough categories that makes reading it an experience that is pretty special. Perfect, certainly not but there is no perfect series. Respect the perspective 100% though!
Completely agree with you, if they focused on developing the side characters more than we would have a greater sense of crisis and emotio al attachment to them as they face certain doom. It was very bland in my opinion, and do t get me started with the novel, it was even worse.
limit breaker is a really good one, it seem bad at first with the whole op mc. But, the way they executed it is just amazing. stuff just doesn't happen without a reason, it has a meaning behind it and thats one of the things that set it apart from other manhwas. and recently just ended s1 and tbh it's one of my favorite ones right now
Overgeared is one of my favorites on this list, I would recommend it if you like fantasy up beat story’s with good fights and decent world building, and later on some city building!
yh its damn good but it turns kinda repetitive to me, and there is some arcs like the doppelganger one that were a bit slow, I love his story tho. Great characters have overgeared too
@@Alan-gu1hp It did kinda lose what I feel was one of the best parts of the novel, which was greed's incredible misfortune and how he overcomes it, but it still is a very fun relaxing fantasy novel to read.
@@Alan-gu1hp i don't know who told you that, I would suggest not taking one advice only ? Because i've heard litteraly dozens of people say the opposite, litteraly 99% of people would tell you the novel is far better than the manhwa and it only gets better as the story goes on. I say this as a guy who started from the manhwa and was kinda reticent to read the novel and I'm glad I did. I read the 1700+ chapters in like 2 months lol
I believe it was in a school, they were zombies, and they were spirits like the spirit of the girl that dies at the beginning and the wife and kid of another person who watch them die because he was too scared to I believe there was even a gocha machine, and you have to look on the second floor for coins you could get items, skills, weapons, even and item to revive somebody who died
Yeah for me nano machine had wasted potential tbh. Like the nano machine in recent chapters is almost non existent. I feel like you could replace the nano machine with skills and nothing would change. The early chapters where the machine applied modern martial arts was cool and opened to cool ideas for future chapters. But recently I feel like the author was either lazy or he was out of ideas.
Man I fucking love Hero Has Returned and It's twist was something so original to me after reading so much, and ig it does require you turn off your brain but if you do the series is so so good at making you feel for these characters. it's hard to tell who is the main character because everyone gets time in the spotlight. If you go into it not caring about anyone but the mc you won't have a good time, but if you let it sweep you into everyone's individual story it feels magical.
Still enjoying it and i agree with the twist in a landscape of a lot of the same did something really interesting. Really wish we could have kept the focus on our initial protag personally though
My tier S are: Jungle Juice, Solo Leveling, The Return of the Mount Hua Sect, The Greatmage Return after 4000 years, Damn Reincarnation (at the moment) and 100th regression of the max level player (at the moment) EDIT: Goblin Night is also very good
bro the longer I watched this video the more hyped I got. Breaker is goated, my all time favorite too. I legit feel like I can share this video with people I want to introduce to different manhwa: you're that guy pal.
Imo, Eleceed should be in S rank. The fights are so good and it's really fun to read and is easy to get addicted to compared to most manhwas. The wholesomeness of this manhwa is just phenomenal and I think it is really underrated.
@@jmcastillo9436 read lookism (my fav comic) it is very hard to get into. So I recommend you to read ch 232-246 first just complete these 15 chapter if you like it then you can start reading from ch 1 and if you don't like it then this comic is not for you. Some other recommendations would be Boxer, Kubera and The second coming of Gluttony all are good manhwas
Hi..I know it doesn't fit the genre you have covered, but do check out Real Man. The Manhwa is a Time Travel manhwa based on Corporate Life. The protagonist became the CEO of Samsung Group, but had a lot of regrets in achieving this post thus somehow goes back in time. It's literally hand's down the best manhwa in the business genre Manhwa dealing with a lot of office politics. Trust me you all will get hooked up 😉
Personally SSS Class Suicide Hunter is bare minimum A+. The art in my opinion is amazing, the way the Mc deals with problems and gets creative. His powers are also pretty unique and overall is insanely kind. I can’t really explain it, its one of the few manhwa that I’ve legit cried too.
Skeleton in C is totally valid. Despite really liking it O'd probably put it there too. The mysteries are really really gripping and there's a lot of interesting uses of the time travel. Buuuut it's a little too long-winded for its own good and the characters aren't the strongest. Skelly boy especially is way too slow on the uptake, but I hope he can finally grow on that front in this arc.
Been reading manhwa since 2016 and as of now Eleceed is on my overall S+++ or godtier ofc because of Cat Kayden haha. I don't like TBATE too much drama love it on the start after reading the novel i drop it. I can't see UNORDINARY too this one is also good. The char developement is best
Well, as a TBATE lover, I can tell why you haven't liked that much when you tryed to read the novel. If you just try to read the war arc, you'll love the plot and the mc even more. Trust me
*Solo Leveling* is that one thing i never understood the hype about since i already read 10 other similar novels works before starting it in spite of its undoubtedly good art 乁 ˘ o ˘ ㄏ
Well imagine that it is one of the early manwha and there is very less manwha with the same concept and starting from episode 1 it's art is almost god tier at that time and a constant update so any manwha at that time has no chance and need to step up their game.
because SL was the one to bring a "lot" and I say that because it's true the same way for everyone in the earlier days of anime that defend the first anime they tend to watch is due to them having a special place in their heart and SL is the same way and because it popularized multiple things and this is visibly obvious on having seen LOTS of manwha's being made which looked blatantly similar to SL
16:30 Putting A returners's magic should be special in C tier is criminal. The only downside to this manhwa is. Infact, you know what, there are no downsides. The art could be better but its still good. Story is strong ✅ There's a clear end goal ✅ Decent focus on side characters ✅ Novel concept of going into the past to ✅ Intellectual plot contains battle of ideologies and not just "mc good, villain bad" generic stuff ✅ Unpredictable plot ✅ and much more Of course I'm speaking based on the present and this video was made over a year ago, but even back then, it was good. This is a solid A tier at least
After the fact i realized i forgot a bunch of series, ill do another tier list at a later date with it. Second life ranker is probably a solid A for me
@@LokisturOfficial sorry, but Second Life Ranker is like Solo Leveling to me but just better because they both mostly focus on MC but the story of SLR is much better and the visuals are just wow for me

But yeah good vid!
that arc actually made me cry
@@simplyreef9676 same, it was a masterpiece.
yea especially if you read ahead in the light novel the story is just amazing is all i can say without giving spoilers, i thought that it was so good that i couldnt help waiting for the next chapters in the manhwa so i read up to whats released in the ln although the ln translation isnt perfect as the main guy who translated it has english as a second language its still a good read
idk, i don't really like SSS Suicide since it feels like they're trying to push good morals and lessons onto the protagonist without any actual substance
Your in for a treat on the next arc i wont spoil anything but its was the best for me when i read the web novel. The concept for me for that arc was really unique.

Wow. I really like the first part. I drop it tho because the second story kinda bore me.
Like re zero?
nah the manwha butchered it
i love the ln, but the side stories was what ruined it for me
Nah man nothing to be sad about, he's ranking the manwha not the novel.

Tales of Demons of Gods does not waste time it builds a story that connects the reader with each character, the story is amazing, the characters are well built, the plot is interesting and immersive, and the world takes you out of earth and into its own universe. Deservers S without doubt.
I’d say it’s the most repetitive story out there. Almost every villain is the same character
Yeah it does feel slow at first but ive read it all the way through 3 times now
Doesn't waste time? they release chapters once every solar eclipse and the chapters are like 2 and a half panels long.
Well you have Rachel and Bam in that story, so it cant be S rank just because of that 💀
Return of the mt. Hua sect should be in S or a lot of potential tbh. I have read ahead like I'm around 400 chaps in the ln and it's such an amazing story where every character feels like my own child and i feel so proud seeing them grow like one of my fav

I didn't know there was a third arc, so excited to read it
Gamaran is amazing. The best manwha i can recommend is Veritas which is pretty similar to the Breaker. Sadly it's never finished.
Ohmygod you put my skeleton boy in c rank. The story are so crazy that it's actually good and it have lore behind it. And the new chapter never disappoint it's aways work toward main story
Gonna have to give the boy another chance then. Im pretty behind. Lets see if he climbs!
@@LokisturOfficial oh, and the mc not just a normal skeleton. He used to be someone important
It has several interesting ways to improve himself and the timeframe can either go back as Re:Zero or be changed by certains objects. Great read! Whould personnally go with a solid A!
Honestly how to fight is an E tier but it has some S tier fighting scenes that very few manwhas have managed to depict as well
100% agree on this, might be fun to do a tier list just for fights actually🤔
wow all your S list are actually my favorites and currently always waiting for new chapters, and yes FengShen Ji is the GOAT for completed manhwa, even better than solo leveling just for the end.
never heard of it, it is not really known at all and its artstyle looks like manga a bit more than manhwa for me
Cant agree more with the TBATE take, as a former patreon subscriber for the light-novel, its has such a good storyline, and almost perfect world building.
WHERE'S LOOKISM 😭, also i think you're heavily underrating how to fight, it's most def one of my favorite manhwa's. It rarely has a boring chapter.

you haven't read Second Life Ranker? I highly recommend it, seeing how similar our tastes are based on this list, and I guarantee that will be somewhere on that of a lot of potential if not S tier based on the light novel as well...
If I would have to recommend some other titles that I might have missed their names or you haven't read yet, I would say:
Return to Player, The Challenger, The Last Human, unOrdinary(it's a webtoon)
Unfortunately the art in second life ranker is pretty bad. The action paneling and weight of the characters' movements and attacks are frankly horrendous, and the coloring can be really offputting.
Ive read the whole light novel of second life ranker and it is my favorite light novel. Its easily S rank

Everyone calls solo leveling mid when it single handedly popularized manhwas no other manhwa/manhua can be as hype as solo leveling
@@fbisama5109
SAO was one of the ips that popularized anime in the us.
@@tubawarlordwong9408
I think saying "manga has shounen" is a bit reductive in terms of analysis.
Oww yeah that part i read in novel got be goosebumps...... so i was afraid to read manhwa.....but it was disappointing
The entire novel is so much darker
Almost traumatising
But its wonderfull
@@Hiroku_Konege I agree. I’m caught up to almost the latest chapter. I usually wait for there to be a few before reading
Agree a 100% my list is a disaster in hindsight for some of these awesome manhwa
Magic emperor
Fengshen ji
The begining after the end
Legend of nethern blade
Damn unironically I love how my list would be so different from yours, I like this diversity of opinions. For example I love Luo ji, like you I can't find any real good point but I really wait the new chapter every week.
My top three manwhas are definitely: Return of Mount Hua Sect (a little bit underrated in my opinion, because a character like Chung Myung is nowhere to be seen…so f original), The Legend of the northern blade and The beginning after the end 😄
I know people like to talk about MC and artwork from Return of Mount Hua Sect but what I really like about the series is the paneling of the scenes (idk if it makes sense I have no idea what do you call that) that's one more thing I really like in this, The Legend of the Northern Blade and The World After The Fall
i watched this just to see where you put tbate lmao. Ur vids are great for recommendations - I put legend of the northern blade in my to read
Hey I'm kinda late but I do have something to say about the tier list, so here are my opinions which I'm gonna update as I progress through your video (this is more of a comparison between the novel and the manhwa since I read novels more than manhwa) :
The beginning after the end : I honestly don't know how far the manhwa has gotten, but in the future, there are many arcs that are just as painful if not more so if you like emotional moments in your story, you're gonna need to have another tier higher lol
Overgeared : it's quite disappointing tbh, the story lose a lot of "motivation" (for lack of better words) when it's adapted into the manhwa. If you base this tier list just off of the manhwa then I can agree with the rank, but the novel was better. The manhwa jumps around obstacles too fast which makes you not feel anything when grid achieve something, which is not the case for the novel
Second coming of gluttony : it truly hurts. The story beat jumps around too many times and some character motivation is just doesn't make sense
The story is way better in novel than in manhwa, sure it still has a little bit of harem tone in it, but It's not too prevalent since the harem parts are saved for the extra story
You are talking about Chinese manhua & you didn't even said magic emperor, it's best manhua
Magic emperor is the best manhwa I have ever read ! His scheme is so amazing. And the way he talk is truely a master. Unlike other manhwa just brawl but no brain. Who ever made this is a master of communication. It deserve more than A tier.
aint no way swordmaster youngest son is at D tier, just the artstyle alone would take it to A tier plus the storyline make it so much better
Actually i think i confused that one with another series. 100% agree. Id put it in B tier right now, lots of potential there
@@LokisturOfficial I also really like the series, cool to know thY you would put it higher on the list. Just question though, have you read lookism and what would you put it on this list? Ps: I know your probably not read this lol

Everything is good about it, EVERYTHING.

@@GameOver-ou1ge They are really good indeed :)
@@Donovan_Berserk indeed. MC is really unique, storyline so far is very exciting even tho some chapters feels a bit slow :)
Its in my second vid “another 100 manhwa tier list” didnt want the vid to be 3 hours long
Pretty good one actually
overall this list is appreciated to me
but i do disagree on some B tier stuff deserving more
while some A tiers are the opposite of that
.
the major one among B tier that i trully believe deserves more is Overgeared
i am not kidding you when i tell you
i've been reading the web novel *religiously* for over 4.5 years now!
the Manhwa is so so far behind in content
the best "golden age" part of Overgeared has yet to come to be adapted still
and although i don't like somewhat the lessened focus on some major side characters in the last hundreds chapters
but the story is still going strong enough to make me hyped and engaged even after all this time giving cliffhangers so frequently 👌🏼
Rarely see people agreeing, SL is the most overrated manhwa out there
@@NicholasPangaribuan glad to know ow, I thought I was the only one with this opinion.

Someone needs to type this list out.
limit breaker is a really good one, it seem bad at first with the whole op mc.
Same love overgeared it’s amazing
yh its damn good but it turns kinda repetitive to me, and there is some arcs like the doppelganger one that were a bit slow, I love his story tho. Great characters have overgeared too
ehh, from what ive been told the novel later on gets pretty bad. If the source material is bad, i don't think the product is gonna be great
@@Alan-gu1hp It did kinda lose what I feel was one of the best parts of the novel, which was greed's incredible misfortune and how he overcomes it, but it still is a very fun relaxing fantasy novel to read.
Read all these manhwas and I’d say overall it’s a good list but I do disagree with most of your choices for S class manhwa
Have you read lookism? Because i didn't see it in the video or I might've missed it.
Tbate > solo leveling
Man I fucking love Hero Has Returned and It's twist was something so original to me after reading so much, and ig it does require you turn off your brain but if you do the series is so so good at making you feel for these characters. it's hard to tell who is the main character because everyone gets time in the spotlight. If you go into it not caring about anyone but the mc you won't have a good time, but if you let it sweep you into everyone's individual story it feels magical.
Still enjoying it and i agree with the twist in a landscape of a lot of the same did something really interesting. Really wish we could have kept the focus on our initial protag personally though

Skeleton Soldier is amazing. yet, u put it on C because... the character is a skeleton?.. So overlord is a C too?
Its all about personal enjoyment, Ironically I’m kinda of mixed on overlord, but not for the skeleton thing just the overpowered side

Skeleton in C is totally valid. Despite really liking it O'd probably put it there too. The mysteries are really really gripping and there's a lot of interesting uses of the time travel. because SL was the one to bring a "lot" and I say that because it's true the same way for everyone in the earlier days of anime that defend the first anime they tend to watch is due to them having a special place in their heart and SL is the same way and because it popularized multiple things and this is visibly obvious on having seen LOTS of manwha's being made which looked blatantly similar to SL

16:30 Putting A returners's magic should be special in C tier is criminal. The only downside to this manhwa is. Infact, you know what, there are no downsides. The art could be better but its still good.
Story is strong ✅
There's a clear end goal ✅
Decent focus on side characters ✅
Novel concept of going into the past to ✅
Intellectual plot contains battle of ideologies and not just "mc good, villain bad" generic stuff ✅
Unpredictable plot ✅
and much more
Of course I'm speaking based on the present and this video was made over a year ago, but even back then, it was good.
This is a solid A tier at least
where is second Life ranker it's a solid s tier manhwa
After the fact i realized i forgot a bunch of series, ill do another tier list at a later date with it. Second life ranker is probably a solid A for me
@@LokisturOfficial sorry, but Second Life Ranker is like Solo Leveling to me but just better because they both mostly focus on MC but the story of SLR is much better and the visuals are just wow for me
@@galberkovich935 novel for slr is breathtaking
Ngl How to fight/Viral hit is a solid A tier or High B it has an amazing story with an amazing art its just that it is simple fighting... the character development and side character too is immaculate.. it has way more to offer than that
