Does the lower wheel ever need to be adjusted? Is it possible to adjust the lower wheel in this model? The owner's manual does not mention the lower wheel.
Does the lower blade guide have an optipn of going back and forth to level with the blade? The upper guides have it, but I could not see on the lower guides.
Need your advice. Should the blade touch any of the bearings when you turn the wheel by hand or when saw is running? Bought a brand new Metabo BAS 318, was working perfectly when the blade caught the plastic insert on the table. Since then the blade is drifting to the left badly when cutting.

Thanks - nice to see this bandsaw up close and personal Would have been nice to have you explain what you were doing and why - a guide for a complete n00b on how to set up and care for this tool. :-)
Scheppach makes really good bandsaws but HBS250 is not better than BAS261. The hbs doesnt have cast aluminium table like bas. If you want a better saw than this one i reccomend Scheppach BASA1
I curently saving money for Scheppach BASA 3...i watched all of the reviews out there and i even saw People replacing the Makita whit BASA3. Its a really really good saw. Pricey but good
Just recently got one of these and it vibrates like mad. The top wheel seems balanced when I spin it freely though. Not sure if it's just been put together badly.
I also got one recently and there's quite a lot of vibe. Reduced the blade tension and it's better but there's still some vibe. I think this is a common problem for this model
@@sumandl Thanks. 1 more quick question. Are you able to balance a coin on the table without the coin toppling? Mine seems to have a fair bit of shake.
a limited use tool that is really only for very light soft materials of miniscule dimensions.I have this machine which came with a poor quality, baldy set up blade that blunted in less time than it took to open the box it came in. After following the video instructions of Alex Snodgrass and with a new blade I realised this size of bandsaw offered little for me. My advice would be to buy an electric jigsaw which will do everything a bandsaw does and much more.
I hope there was no voice over because I had to mute the video because of the soundtrack.

How is it? Is there any problem with blade ? Does it break the blade often?
never. Why?
@@sumandl i have a hercules mark but breaks the blade so oft, i am thinking to buy that, do you recommend? I will cut at 5-6cm thickness polywood

Is it easy to change and set up blades
Yes it is
That background music is a shocker

actually it should not. It should be a hair of space between the blade and bearing.
Hi mate... A few queations about the bandsaw. How many blades are in the box and what sizes(width) can it take? Thanks
i got 1 blade with my saw... and i think the max blade you could instal would be 1/2 inch. I'm using a thin 1/4 inch blade for curves.
@@sumandl thanks.. In the end i decided on this saw as opossed to Basa1 because of weight and motor power.
Goran Jelenić Good choice! Where are you located?

Pozdrav i dobrodosel!
Bought this bandsaw two years ago. Have tried every setup guide out there and it still doesn't cut straight. What a waste.
Yep, the music should explain all details. My pleasure to vote down.
Great video. Can this cut simple square mortice and tenon joints in 4 inch x 4 inch timber ? Or, is the access for larger timbers restricted ? Thanks.

How this performed when it's come to hard wood like hard maple?
It's a 200$ bandsaw. You can't rip down stuff with it. Hard ply is ok till 1 inch. Then you need to slow down
Can you adjust speed?
no.
@@sumandl thanks.
Thank you for this video, I would like to buy one and I think this one will do the job.
Payet Olivier Sounds great. Good luck with your new Tool 👍
Very cool! I got the very same saw just two weeks ago.
Zanimiva zadeva.
I was looking to buy this or Scheppach HBS 250. After reading the comments, I'd rather go for the HBS250.

Hi! thank you for this video but I'm wondering, why you didn't buy the Makita LB1200F? I can see you love Makita's tools. Enjoy it!
