I had I trip whit Singapore airlines in December from Bali Indonesia to Singapore whit a 787-10 Dreamliner flight time 2 hours and 20 minutes incredible airline and fantastic service!
I think back in 2018 when I was in Wellington visiting family, Singapore Airlines used a 777. In 2019, they began using the A350 for the route. Unfortunately I didn't manage to go on the Singapore Airlines flight. I booked with Emirates, and my journey from WLG-SYD (Sydney) was on a Qantas 737.
Singapore Airlines A350's are fantastic. Top notch service. Specially no safety issues with SQ flights. If it's A350 or A380 always pleasant experience. Sad to see more A380's are still grounded. It's such a magnificent aircraft. I always try to pick A350 or A380 flights.
I flew São Paulo to Barcelona some years ago... I think It has been discontinued. São Paulo has/had some of the longest 5th freedom flights ever, counting both streches, all summing almost 30hrs in total: Seoul x LAX x GRU Tokyo x LAX x GRU Tokyo x JFK x GRU Beijing x MAD x GRU Singapore x BCN x GRU...
As an Aussie (of Anglo GoldRush origin) from Melbourne, Singapore Airlines definitely has the best economy section & in-flight service from "The Singapore Girls" is outstanding. That it was the the first and only (please check on this) economy section in the upper level of the A380s is a wonderful pleasure for all the peasants like me. :-)
@@raxxmoriti that was 8th freedom flight (Flight between 2 cities domestically and continue to the airline country). Yes this freedom actually extremely rare between Africa and Asia but common in Europe.
@@rezaalan3991 thank you for the information I really did not know that there was an error th freedom flight. I've been to Germany and was shocked at how close all other countries are in relation to Hamburg, definately not the same here in Africa
I also heard before corona virus outbreak that Singapore airline is considering the new fifth route between Tokyo and New York. Now we’re not sure if this would come true.
When an airline flies between two countries - neither of which are represented by the airline. With Singapore airlines for example, normally all flights begin/end in Singapore.
Very nice. SQ should fly Nairobi and Lagos. Singapore Karachi Moscow, Singapore Port Moresby Nadi. Lot of scope. Ethiopian is the only African carrier in Asia, some Kenya Airways and SAA. Pakistan doesnt get any Asian carrier save for Thai and a few Chinese. Pakistan has a big market for Asia.
Vaililigi Tuilagi 5th freedom route - a route between two cities in two different countries that is served by a carrier from neither country, as a continuation of a service originating at a third airport (the airline’s home port)
I’ve road in the Manchester to Houston route my original itenirary was Dallas to Houston (United) Houston to Manchester (Singapore) Manchester to changi (Singapore) changi to Manila (Singapore)
SQ52 and 51 has changed flight route. Another A350 now carries the SQ51 and 52 callsign and now flies from Singapore to Manchester and back

It’s 3:40 am
I’ve got school today
And I can’t sleep
This is just another reason to stay up
Where do you live? Your school hasn't been shut down because of the pandemic?
Chris Loh
Not to be specific but Melbourne
@@p4m209 Cool. glad it hasn't impacted your corner of the world too badly yet.

Well there’s been a outbreak in northern Sydney and I won’t be surprised if even more people in my area get it from going to the Grand Prix
Pretty sure that in the Melbourne - Wellington case, they’re also the only widebody on that route. The other operators use 737 or A320/321.
Yes, you`re right. Singapore Airlines currently operates the only only wide-body aircraft out of Wellington to any destination.

There is also MXP-BCN with an Airbus A350-900
That was added recently

Awesome Video!
They are a "Great Way to Fly"
This would make an interesting series -- how many other airlines have 5th freedom rights like this?
3 yeas late, but Latam has its Santiago-Auckland-Sydney route

Shouldn't the flight path bend to the South on the southern hemisphere?
Singapore also flies Cape town to Johannesburg and flight time is 2hrs
Okay I admit it's not a 5th freedom flight, one is not allowed to book between those destinations

Still in the pipeline but not so soon . Bureaucracy and timing involve.
I flew Singapore from SF to HK. The service was excellent, but the legroom in economy was not (just as tight as United domestically).
They don’t fly sq1 from Hong Kong-san Francisco anymore. Now sq1 flies Singapore-san fransanciso direct
It still exists except there are 3 flights today
Just due to Covid
The Narrator got the pronounciation wrong for the Russian Airports. It's Do-mo-de-do-vo & She-re-met-ye-vo.
You forgot Johannesburg and Cape town.
Not a fifth freedom, since SQ doesn't have pickup rights at Johannesburg
So what's a fifth freedom route?
When an airline flies between two countries - neither of which are represented by the airline. With Singapore airlines for example, normally all flights begin/end in Singapore.
To make it simple, flying between Country A to Country C via Country B to unloading and loading passengers.
What is a freedom route
Vaililigi Tuilagi 5th freedom route - a route between two cities in two different countries that is served by a carrier from neither country, as a continuation of a service originating at a third airport (the airline’s home port)
Law of airlines to make a flight between two countries.
Why do you show Muinch Airport?
SQ24/25 FRA-JFK are not included in this video
K W Wong SQ24/SQ25 is the last example of 5th freedom flight.
Sq1/2 only operate 77w, never on 359

I’ve road in the Manchester to Houston route my original itenirary was Dallas to Houston (United) Houston to Manchester (Singapore) Manchester to changi (Singapore) changi to Manila (Singapore)
you could've went for Dallas-Vancouver and Vancouver-Manila though
release some merch
I live in Melbourne and it’s just Melbourne Airport
Fourth!
MAN-Houston......why? No one goes to Houston...
No one wants to travel through Manchester ever
Houston is an oil city, business travel means revenue
I flew Singapore Airlines A350 from Perth-Singapore and it wasn’t good, the seats where small.
Manchester to Houston? Do people in Manchester really need some BBQ or something?
we'll if you're in the mood for some Texan Ribs & Steak, why not visit the Lone Star state?

Sq 1 & 2 are always 777, never A350
GGRRR IT'S MEL-BIN NOT MEL-BORN RESEARCH!!!

Don’t really care for the AirJunk 350!
same goes for Boing triple-threat, it's cramped asf
Zedric Louis Bores no where half as bad as the AirJunk 350!!!
