I have a big bear that lost spark just like yours- it was running and then suddenly stopped. No spark. I have it all apart and have replaced so many parts and still no spark. I hope you get yours fixed; I'd love to see how you solve it! Great video!
I work on atv’s every day and still enjoy watching the process, troubleshooting a bad spark is actually pretty easy once you know how, first start with unplugging the handlebar cluster switch, then you can ohm out the coil and stator, if all good and wiring didn’t get eaten by rats, a new plug didn’t help then it’s probably the cdi, unfortunately the only real test is to swap it with a known good one. Also check the spark plug boot
had a 99 beartracker 250, loaded down to go fishing, cranked it up and let it warm up ran perfect went inside to grab tackle box and come back outside wouldnt start- burnt stator just like that
You need to turn down the idle a little bit more and it will stop jumping like that when you put it in gear and for the carburetor throttle cord all you do is have to pull that curve off coming from the carburetor
I got a 92 yamaha big bear 350. It was bought new in 91. My dad bought it off of his boss when I was about 6 or 7 and I'm 32 now and i still drive it around on the original tires.😂
I figured u was smart enough to know that cause the other stuff u done ... I got 1 of those welders but I need the peace that puts tension on wire roll
Just a safety note: if you use a cable with black/white/green on a 220 volt system (which it looks like you have) you should either use black tape or black heat shrink on the white cable so nobody (including yourself in the future) thinks that is a neutral. The white "thingy" on the back that one side goes to really looks like a circuit breaker. Finally, the cable adapter usually mounts on the outside of the equipment so the screws can be tightened after closing up, but I like how it looks on the welder. I'll have to remember that. I have to hand it to you, since most people that don't have the formal electrical training wouldn't dare to work with high current 220v equipment.
It’s funny, at least to me, that 220 volt is thought of as a bit scary in the US. In Australia, as in a lot of countries, 230-240 is your standard voltage and I noticed how small all of our 230 volt cables and plugs are compared to yours. I can confirm though, that if you get bitten by 230 volts it hurts like hell and you soon learn to treat it with respect. Cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺
@@scroungasworkshop4663 I've worked in a factory where 480v is the norm. My uncle used to test 110 volt receptacles with his finger but never on 220. I believe that our electrical code is heavily influenced by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) which may (my opinion) be influenced by insurance companies. In my travels I've noticed lots of wiring in other countries that would never pass inspection here in the USA. Also, unlike some countries (Aruba for example), our 110/220 system is a unified system, only three wires (plus a ground for safety), with a maximum of 110 volts to ground, or neutral and you can only get bit by 220v if you touch both hot leads. Of course, if you ever worked on a CRT television and gotten bit (I did), then even 220 would seem mild, compared to the 5K to 20K the flyback puts out.
@@joeheck146 Good points, I watch those blokes in Pakistan working and they scare me. I always avoided CRT’s for that very reason. Like touching a coil wire on your car, ouch😂😂
Oh, what's wrong with it i know locked up and engineering and engine quality is bad like snowrunner when you find a car truck or four wheeler. Snowrunner is a amazing game ps4 ps5 PC and phone
This kid is too young to work on small engines he don't know nothing about it he tears them up sorry I have to talk about this kid but he don't know squat

Fire vid again
That thing runs like a champ! She deserves some love for sure.
We have Simplisafe at the house, I had it for 10+ years and Ive moved the system for 4 house moves. Very good investment.
Get that bag watched through the whole ad
It is a 1988 Yamaha big bear 350 I have a 94 big bear and I love it

I heard something about some wires that connect to the key switch can be the problem. Look it up and try that out. Good luck
Great to see you back at it Buddy keep up the videos And stay safe
This ATV looks like the Bootstrap Bill of 4 wheelers

I love your videos man. Please keep posting like you have been.
Love your videos Braden!!! Keep them coming.
3:42 on my 88 moto 4 it has the solenoid and the battery box in that place and the thing that has the bottom cut out of it is storage
Just like that "deceased" 😂 dawg my new favorite UA-camr glad I seen this channel in my feed
Love the video Braden! Keep it up man!

Those vines weren't poison ivy
Great job made my day! Love everything about your channel.
12:43 i think you did the wrong pose And the engine gods thaught that you wanted the engine to stop XD
Every time I see your video I smile
Good job other than the throttle hanging and it idling high still

Where did you find that carburetor I need one for my quad it looks like it is the same quad
Most likely it’s your switch or somthing simple why it won’t spark, but great vid as always man!
Wouldn’t suprise me. Thanks
The starter solenoid placement is factory battery box should be beside that
@HarveySpooner has a portable cdi setup he uses for atv might be worth the while if you end up working with more of the single cylinder atvs
Great videos 🎉
I love watching these builds . But wouldn’t it be easier just to get these things home first and work on them in the garage

YES HE UPLOADED on a machine I know a little about
😂😂😂 good video man.
Did you ever check the oil
Hopefully you changed the circuit wire in the machine to gas solenoid bypass position for fluxcore.
Just seen of my works truckers in your video when you was driving the four wheeler home it was the blue Siskin steel truck
Now this is the American way
I can't believe you rode a 4 wheeler through Calvert City.
Good finds
What size wire did you use for the new plug on the welder?
Awg10
Bad gas and dirty carbs are usually the main issues when trying to get something started that’s been sitting forever
Are you going to fix the old bobcat?
Love your vids
Just replace the wall plug on the welder
Started to but old cable was too wide to fit a new plug. New cable was only like $20 at Lowe’s.
That Thang didn't smoke a bit when it fired up
nice video. new welders are inverters they are better
You may have to reverse the polarity on the welder since you’re using fluxcore look it up maybe you do maybe you don’t
I did
Did you remember to reverse the polarity from what it was with gas?
Yup
Keep that carb and give a her a refresher lol
That is the amount of grass Ipad and brainrot kids need💀💀
U do realize u could cut the plug off old cord with out removen the cord right? But good video
Not exactly. Tried that originally.
I figured u was smart enough to know that cause the other stuff u done ... I got 1 of those welders but I need the peace that puts tension on wire roll
It calledclwwn up points on it bro rhen get spark
It doesn’t have points
Better than my welds
you defiantly need to buy more stuff from him
Kill switch is active somewhere
I have a Yamaha three cylinder and it needs fixing😭 with some stuff
Didn’t you fix the bumper on that truck?
Ran over a small tree in the woods
Heck yeh boi
I could use it for parts for my 250
30 miles on a atv is nuts
What state you live in
85 years of welding experience that’s great! I have 85 years of experience with yo mama lol jk
What did the guy in the blue pick up truck say
That was to easy
I parked my big bear for 15 to 20 years and my kid went out to where it was parked put new gas in and put new oil in it and it started first crank
The box is a breaker
turn down the heat
my grandpa said he wants commission from making an appearance in your video
He got his commission when I overpaid him for a welder
@ don’t hate the player hate the game
Nice 👌🏻

your such a talented young man Braden! Have you ever thought about obtaining your CDL license?
The welder is an ok deal if it works, the 4 wheeler looks like its junk. Hint: reverse polarity if you are using flux core wire. Practice.
