I always place a new windchime over my grandparents and daddys grave that is over 200 miles from my house , every year if I get to go visit to clean and decorate their graves ..they are all located on the outskirts of Amish farmland and high on a hill overlooking their favorite lake in MICHIGAN USA . I have never seen a more peaceful church graveyard ..u can see for miles from their graves and not a noise in hearing distance except the cornfields blowing in the wind outside of fencing.. wind chimes are so soothing and dad and gramps always had them up on our property on that favorite lakefront ...I miss them all so very much and sadly havent been able to afford to visit yet this year ..gas prices , car issues and hubby unable to leave work for a few days plus our own health and my schedule of helping our daughters w their babys ..including twin 20 mth old granddaughters born during pandemic . Its always something. Hubby keeps trying to get it planned knowing how much it means to me ..broken hearted daughter and granddaughter myself that is the only one who does anything for those graves ..I just have to go before snow flies soon enough. Maybe next Friday on my 34 yr wedding anniversary w my high school sweetheart. I l know my daddy would be so proud if I could do this so they know I havent forgotten

Why are the graveyards so wealthy?
Why is there so much treasure in the Cemetery ? Why ?
Because buried in the Cemetery, are dreams that were never fulfilled, books that were never written, ideas that never became reality, visions that were never manifested. There in the graveyard, are paintings that were never painted, songs that were never written, books that will never read.
In the Cemetery are our great manufacturering plants that were never built, in the Cemetery are sermons that were never preached. The Cemetery is pregnant with unused success. Buried in the Cemetery is treasure that makes God weep. Thank you Sue, for another greatly appreciated video. ❤🙏

Honestly Sue, it seems that a large cemetery such as Deansgrange ought to be better kept, mowed or regularly trimmed at the very least. It appears to be shameful to me. 'Tis truly a blessing that Ireland has no snakes, since unkempt cemeteries here in the States are havens for vipers & other varmints. Perhaps Irish Eyes & you might get a movement started to have graveyards better tended by their local communities &/or churches, or even by a national historic/heritage trust. Just something to consider or think about. This may come to be anyway since Irish Eyes & you have put such a spotlight on Ireland's treasure trove of burial grounds. Many thanks for that. Also be careful when visiting graves in Britain, their over-grown cemeteries do have snakes about. That was a problem for me when I was a youngster because my great-great grandparents are buried in an old, very unkempt burial ground in Fleming County, Kentucky officially named New Hope Presbyterian Churchyard (the church burned down over 150 years ago), but commonly known as the Hillsboro Irish Cemetery. It has sense gotten some TLC from a group of volunteers dedicated to the upkeep of historic Fleming Co. graveyards
