I only learned about Advent calendars in 2018 at my advanced age, believe it or not. So my first one is my favorite. I showed it in one of the videos I told you about. It is shaped like a Christmas tree and it was filled with all kinds of chocolates from what was at the time one of my favorite chocolate stores in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, it has since closed. But I kept the calendar because it is so beautiful. More like a piece of art than an advent calendar.
I didn't know anything about Advents until I started Vlogmas! We technically had a velcro cloth advent that my aunt made when I was growing up, but I didn't know they sold advents. That said - they really only became popular in the US recently!
My favorite advent calendsr is one that still hangs on my wall! Its a childhood advent calendar that my grandma would fill each year with small chocolates and candy canes. Super simple, but absolutely my favorite.
Oh my goodness, Foster's PJs! So cute! I'm loving the gingerbread house - I can imagine your dream was quite horrifying 😅 Advent calendar: we normally just have a chocolate calendar, so pretty standard.
Foster is adorable in his pjs 😊 The Christmas lights were really pretty I think my favourite advent calendar is my tea one my friend got me this year or my star wars Lego one.😊x
I'm finally caught up!! Foster is so cute in his PJs 🥰 We never did advent calendars growing up - I really didn't get into them until after I was married.
My favorite advent was the Lidl's Cheese calendar from last year. It was pretty much different types of Cheddar and the pieces were a good size (like a small rectangle)😊
I don't remember advents being so big when we were growing up. Because of your Vlogmas vlogs we have been really into the Aldi cheese calendars. I know you got bored with them being so similar but we don't mind lol. We love cheese- I have enjoyed all of the flavors...except for the truffle one- not my thing lol.
I definitely don't think they became a thing in the US until the last 5 years or so! I used to really have to hunt for them, and now there's all kinds of options!
I think my favourite advent calendar would have to be Kit Kat chocolate since it's my fave chocolate next to cookies and creme . My fave calendar you have done would have been the cheese one you have done every day. I wish I could do Pyjama day but I have one more day of work before holidays.
OMG Did you just drop an ACOTAR reference?? I have been listening to the audiobooks and thoroughly enjoy them. I am on a mission to finish all the Three Body Problem books first before I go back to ACOTAR, though. I seriously think all the amazing advent calendars started when I left. I did manage to snag a Lego one a few years ago that would be my favorite so far. I put the finished pieces in my advent bags, but nothing compares to sitting down and making them.
I SURE DID! I have read the whole series so far. About to reread the Fourth Wing series to prep for Onyx Storm, then I want to move on to a new Sarah J Maas series! Books 2 & 3 for ACOTAR were my faves. And you aren't wrong about the advents - they've really jumped up in popularity in recent years! Looking forward to using the advent bags next year - I have plans!
I have vlogmas burn out 😂 people that don't do it don't know but the struggle is real 😂 I was talking to jaclyn today about that haha my fav advant is my shoppers drugmart 15 days of beauty i get it every year

Awww... I absolutely love that! I have one my aunt made that I grew up with. It still lives with my parents for now.

Oooh yum! I definitely want to find a different cheese calendar next year. We missed it, but want some different cheeses!

They truly will never understand how much work goes into it each day! But boy, is it a labor of love! Oooh that sounds like what I want next year!
