- The cheapest and fastest way to travel in Chennai is to take the Metro. In this video, you’ll learn how to go to the Airport Metro Station from the Chennai Domestic Terminal after you collect your bags. The journey isn’t tiring, but it involves about six moving walkways making it a long trip. After the journey on the travelators, you could head straight to the International Terminal or turn left to go to the Metro Station. Hello. Thank you for watching this video. Are you looking to go to Apollo on Greams Road? If so, take the blue line metro from the Airport Station to Thousand Lights station. Apollo is 1.5 Km from Thousand Lights station. That's the closest a metro could take you. You could then take an auto rickshaw to the hospital, which should cost under ₹100, or you could book one through UBER or OLA for a lower price.

Hi. There are trains from Egmore Railway Station. So, you can get down at Egmore Metro Station, which is close. If you are traveling from the Airport, you will need to switch trains at Alandur Metro Station to go to Egmore.

Hi. You need to take the suburban trains to Mahindra World City and not the Metro trains. Tirusulam is the nearest suburban train station close to the airport. From there, you can take the train to Chengalpattu and get down at Paranur station. From there, you can take an autorickshaw and reach Mahindra World City.

Hi. Yes, the Blue Line metro from Airport Station goes to MGR Central Station. You don't have to switch trains.

Hello. I'm glad you found this video useful. The Airport Metro Station does not have any retiring rooms. The nearest hotel with good rooms and service is Hotel Southern Comfort. It's less than 2 km from the airport. If you need a more luxurious option, you could try Raddison or Trident. Both hotels are less than 5 km from the international airport.
I don't think that happened. But last year, they installed sleeping pods in the domestic arrival terminal near baggage belt number 1. I believe you won't be able to access that unless you arrive at the airport on a flight.

Hi. The closest metro station near Nalanda Centre is AG-DMS Metro. As you said, taking an auto or cab to the centre from the metro station will be the best mode of transportation.

I have a train from MGR railway station at 11:15PM. I reach the airport via a domestic flight from jharkand at 9:15PM. Will i be able to make it in time to the railway station via metro after baggage claim at the airport ? also you started from the domestic arrivals baggage claim section right?

Hello. As mentioned in the description, this is from the Chennai Domestic Terminal. The process is the same when you arrive at the International Terminal. Follow the signs, and you'll be in the right direction. You'll be coming from the other end to reach the Airport Metro Station, as seen at 1:57.

Hi. You can't directly reach the Egmore Railway Station using Airport Metro. From Airport Metro, you need to switch trains at Alandaur Metro Station, and once you reach Egmore Metro Station, you will need to exit the station. From there, you need to walk for 8-10 minutes to be at the Egmore Railway Station platforms. Fare - ₹60. Duration: 50-60 minutes. Frequency: every 5-10 minutes.

How to reach from airport metro station to perumbur station
There is no direct stop for the Airport Metro Trains(both Blue and Green Line) at Perambur Station. But you can take the Blue Line from the Airport Station to Chennai Central Metro Station and then head to the Central Suburban Railway Station. From there, you can take a local train that will stop at Perambur Railway Station.

Hi. You can take the trolley if you exit the arrival terminal and head to the Metro Station instead of taking the route shown in this video. But trolleys aren't allowed inside the Metro Station. You'll have to leave them behind at some point.

Hi. Metro doesn't connect Terminals 1 & 2. You can use the airport shuttle to go from Domestic to International Terminal. Otherwise, you can use the travelator within the airport area.

Your Tourist EVisa is electronically linked to your passport. Upon verification, the officer might ask you a few questions, like what's your purpose, how long are you in India, etc. Once you answer them, your passport gets stamped, and you can leave the airport. The estimated time for the whole process depends on the number of travelers and the number of immigration counters open. It approximately takes 15-30 minutes to clear immigration. There's no need to worry. It's a simple process.
