- Tijuana is the largest city of both Baja California State and the Baja California Peninsula. It is part of the San Diego-Tijuana transborder urban agglomeration and the larger Southern California megalopolis. As the 6th-largest city in Mexico and center of the 6th-largest metro area in Mexico, Tijuana exerts a strong influence in education and politics - across Mexico, in transportation, culture and art - across all three Californias (the U.S. state of California, Baja California and Baja California Sur), and in manufacturing and as a migration hub - across the North American continent. Currently one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in Mexico, Tijuana is rated as a "High Sufficiency" global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. As of 2015, the city of Tijuana had a population of 1,641,570.

Tijuana is the 45th largest city in the Americas and is the westernmost city in Mexico. According to the 2015 census, the Tijuana metropolitan area was the fifth-largest in Mexico, with a population of 1,840,710 but rankings vary, the city (locality) itself was 6th largest and the municipality (administrative) 3rd largest nationally. The international metropolitan region was estimated at about 5,158,459 in 2016, making it the third-largest metropolitan area in the former Californias region, 19th largest metropolitan area in the Americas, and the largest bi-national conurbation that is shared between US and Mexico. Tijuana is becoming more suburbanized like San Diego.
The municipality of Tijuana is divided into eight administrative boroughs, or Delegaciones. The Tijuana metropolitan area occupies all of borough seats. The boroughs are in turn divided into colonias or ejidos. These boroughs offer administrative services such as urban planning, civil registry, inspection, verification, public works and community development and are served by a delegado.

Saludos!

Some day I should visit the place I was born! For right now this videos will do! Thank you! 😞
You should visit the city, best tacos here
As someone raised in Edo mex, Mexico is more dangerous just cleaner because the government there doesn't purposefully take funds used to clean cities to give more to rich people, at least not as much as American cities do also crime isn't as chaotic as it is in the USA, it's usually organized crime so it goes under the radar much more, as the gangs and cartels in Mexico actually act more like a militia than a street gang, so they barely ever touch your average civilian.
Don't mess with cartels they won't even care to try to mess with you.
I think you are right! 👍
Nice video, I just posted a similar video of my first drive through Mexico City ha ha. Nicely done, camera quality is really nice
Thanks!
Buen video saludos.....
Muchísimas gracias!

Beautiful inspiring video. Tijuana is a city in northeastern Mexico in the state of Baja California, located on the US border, near San Diego and nearcthe Pacific coast, which is about 10 km from thę city center. Tijuana is dangerous because of cartels and gangs.Thank you for a beautiful movie.
Glad you liked it! 👍
@@4KTravelChannel My pleasure to watch. Thank you. I happen to know this city a bit.I live Chicago.

Great place for a visit and enjoy local food 👍
Nice! I bet it was a Sunday because there is no traffic.
You guessed it right! It was a Sunday :)
There is usually little traffic in those areas.
Honestly, in spite of all the problems with crime that I've heard, it's beautiful to me. Would love to go some time after the violence right now settles down - will learn Spanish first so I don't stick out TOO much.
That's an awesome idea!
You will be safer in Mexico than in US.
GRACIAAAAAAAAS INFINITAAAAAAAAAAAAAS: Dios te bendiga
De nada amiga 👍
Also, I may added, from the start to finished of the Tijuana video, from accrossed Tijuana, It do not recognized the city as I ones I know. Interesting.
Things are changing a lot with time

@4k Travel Channel Qué cámara usas para grabar ?
Una grabadora
@@4KTravelChannel pensé que usabas una licuadora...
Porque casi no hay trafico?
No tengo ni idea
Wow, this is NOTHING like the Tijuana I visited in the '70's, where downtown was mostly just cantinas and whore houses. Then again in the mid 90's when we went down for missionary work, the streets were crawling with junkies who looked very shady and desperate. They would approach your car and eyeball everyone ... creepy ! And I counted four distinct police forces which were everywhere. The scariest ones were driving around in black armed troop vehicles full of teenage soldiers all dressed in black with automatic weapons. It seemed to me like a bananna republic and I couldn't get out of there fast enough ...
👍
Safety?????
It's pretty safe in downtown
Stay away from anything having to do with drugs and dealers, and the chances of anything bad happening to you are remote. Although you might still get hassled by money hungry cops if you stray off the main tourist street.
@@richardweiler3966His not in Los Angeles. Hahaha
