Ok, so this one got blocked everywhere and it was very strange cuz I already edited everything from the video, but yeah now all I could’ve done is this trim😵💫🙇🏻♀️
22:35 - Remember in The S Word, Grandad didn't trust Rollo until he mentioned they could get compensated with money. Huey didn't trust him that whole episode
The "last" two episodes of this season were supposed to be earlier in the run. Both of them are about BET. Both Adult Swim (the network that airs The Boondocks) and BET were owned by the same company, and it caused issues behind the scenes. BET got their way and both episodes didn't air. So on the official DVD/video release, they were just added as episodes 14 and 15. But narratively, this episode takes place before "The S Word".
Better still, Deborah LeeVil's right-hand man in this episode and "The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show," Wedgie Rudlin, is actually based on Reginald Hudlin, who was involved with the first season of the show and is credited as an executive producer in the introduction sequence throughout the series, but had a falling out with Aaron McGruder when he was appointed as the President of Entertainment on Black Entertainment Television (BET) from 2005-08.
She’s not designed as an anime villain, she’s based off of Dr.Evil from the Austin Powers movies. And the real life woman named Deborah I think who was in charge of BET years ago
This and another episode where they made fun of Tyler Perry were banned and I believe it only aired once before it was on dvd and streaming. I only saw both episodes in 2018 when I found out about them
hunger strikes are strange but theoretically they are supposed to make people feel bad for you i think. the voice actor for rev goodlove is ceelo green the singer. the funny thing is BET doesnt play music anymore like mtv
LOL I'm sorry, but seeing the crash out about Rallo getting the TV Show is hilarious. But yeah, as others have said, this episode was meant to come out before The S Word. It's all good. Also, this may not be something you need now, but when Huey asked Grandad for advice, the phrase "You do what you can," I think, was the most important takeaway from this episode, because sometimes things are just going to feel hopeless, but at the end of the day, all you can do is what you can do. I saw this episode years ago and I've held on to that lesson since. Might not be needed for you now, but might be helpful in the future to remember.

Rollo Goodlove is the embodiment of hopium, who always hustles his way into other peoples' causes against their better judgment.

You know this was really stupid on huey's part 🤔. Also the creator is a huge fan of anime.
