Jeep has launched the Meridian in India, with prices starting from Rs 29.90 lakh, going up to Rs 36.95 lakh for the top-spec 4x4 variants. Bookings for the Jeep Meridian are already underway, and deliveries are set to commence in the third week of June. The Meridian is based on the Compass platform but has been completely reworked to accommodate the third row of seats. The Meridian is powered by a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine, Costing Rs 6.26 lakh more than an equivalent variant of the Compass, All-wheel drive system reserved for automatic variants only.

Do you feel the space inside it is good considering others in the segment? Fortuner, Gloster, Kodiaq etc? How about , milage, service cost and maintenance?
@@rohl83 Kodiaq is ruled out coz it's Petrol. Fortuner is just too outdated and cumbersome to drive in city traffic. Space wise my kids are 3 and 6 yrs old and they lovee the 3rd row...
Middle row is adequate for 5'7 footers. Avg height in family.
Service costs I need to wait and watch... Ride in the rear seat is much much better than the Fortuner.
Only disadvantage is the 9 speed gear box. Not for enthusiasts. One needs to get used to it.

@@rohl83 On Kerala highways which are terrible I get a mileage of 13kmpl. City around 10 kmpl.
Better highways I expect close to 15-16.
If you want a spacious 5 seater I would suggest the Hyundai Tucson but I'm not a fan of the ADAS features and highway ride quality isn't great...
