My aunt used to work for a very famous fashion designer in the philippines. She made my sister's chiffon gown for her debut. She was able to do the 2 fold hem with one stitch line. I still can't figure out how she was able to do that.
We will solve this problem, but there are difficulties. A person, for example, has no voice, or he is shy, stutters, etc. But he knows his business well and wants to share his knowledge with other people. How to do it? Please advise.
@@sewway The voice is fine. I assumed there was a language or speech disability that kept the person from speaking. I have learning disabilities and often have to have these electronic voices help me.
@@sewway Hi! I'm not an expert on this but I know there are very good text to voice options today that don't sound nearly as robotic so you can probably find a good one for you if you want to!
Hi, thank you! Both methods are great, very neatly done! But please, could you advise on what sort of needle to use? Thin universal, microtex? I always have doubts on which one to go for. Best regards, Rosa
use applique scissors to trim.......this is not so easy when you are working on a very full, gathered circle skirt...as in a bride/bridesmaid dress!!!!
I dont see anything special here, just turn twice and hem ! nothing brilliant about it at all. Clickbait - I was expecting some special easy way to hem chiffon but its nothing special.
After almost seven years this video showed me I can use the side of the sewing machine to cut the thread 😂
Brilliant method! Thank you for posting this short and straight forward instructional video.
instablaster...
Excellent tutorial 🙏
You can use hem rounding pressure feet it’s will give you better quality and save time as well
You make it look so easy! Thanks.

Thank you 😊
Love your tutorial but the robotic mono toned narration is a put off.

I just can't understand some of the words so I appreciate the transcript in the description.
I opened the subtitles is English and it's doing well
You can simply use straight stich on pico foot and the result will be same.
It would be very informative to know what type of needle and thread to use for yhis type of material.
Fine needle and fine thread is best to use

Thin universal needle
This was great, but I only saw one way to hem lightweight fabric.
There is a link to second video at end of the video.
Duck bill scissors would help when trimming
Lovely
has this fabric been cut on the bias ? xx
No
It's adjusting and getting the tension right that I can't grasp. It never works. I don't have a Janome so I don't understand what you're adjusting to.

The right advice, I wish the bride happiness
Do you backstitch at all?
No, not required
nobody has time to sit there and cut away all that fabric especially when you're working with LOTS of yardage!
agree ! its not helpful at all.
Two stitching lines, but video shows only ONE hemming technique
At the end of this video is a link to the second way
I could not watch this whole video... the audio is truly awful...
New electronic world, new electronic people, new electronic voices.
